thanks for the support yall...yeah hopefully no mold gotta pay attention to some of those giant colas....our outdoors last year didnt have any mold on it, grown in same region....butte county is so hot and dry so hopefully that will factor in...we dont get any coastal or morning fogs like mendo and humbolt..

I sat down and read this whole thread in about one sitting (I passed out trying to read it last night and finished reading this morning). Very cool grow you have. I hope you have a nice and profitable crop. California is a different world.
I have a couple questions, I hope you don't mind.
1. You have scripts and are legal, but still worry about cops. How can a cop cut down a legal grow. I know the feds can do anything they want, but you seem too small for them to mess with. Why or how can the cops chop you down?
2. Okay this is stupid, but what is LVPK I am sure it is Purple Kush, what is the LV?
You have a great grow and a great thread. A lot of people will learn from threads like these. Mentioning that you have $5k into it so far is good to note to all the people wanting to move out west with a pocket full of seeds. Hard to believe you would even mention mold in such an arid place. Indica buds are so big and dense.
I have to agree with all those against trimming machines. To me the machines do the same thing as compressing it... they pop the trichomes. They pop trichomes and smear them all over the buds. It really messes them up. It would seem to be an important advantage when selling to dispensaries... hand trimmed buds.
Okay I am in this until the finish now. Don't do nothing stupid (just kidding)...

huligan lvpk is las vegas purple kush.. imo EXTREMELY similar to pre98 bubba.. so close that i let lvpk go..
Here is what a friend of mine said about the LVPK. You and 215 may agree with it.
"real pre 98 bubba has that nice golden look to it, more earthy...denser usually..i dontknow hard to describe...the LVPK looks and smells like bubba but its always a jungle green color, everyones samples are always darker than any good bubba ive seen in the clubs...and most LVPK looks a little fluffier than bubba too.....alot of LVPK gets sold as purple kush out here, or there is a real similar strain that alot of guys do commercially....and up in seattle same thing they had commercial beaster purple kush that i suspect is LVPK picked at 6 weeks...

^haha hydro that was my description of LVPK.....in my experiance its usually "greener" than the pre98 bubba, of which i usually see more golden brown samples....maybe its just the growers but LVPK does have a nice green color to it if you pick it before it purples up....also out of everybodys samples at LV i noticed most LVPK, even mine, isnt as rockhard dense as the Bubba ive seen..usually more fluffy.
huligan - we have 4 scripts, and cali allows 4 scripts with 6 flowering each so in certain counties we could do 24 plants like this without fear of the cops...however the county we are in passed an ordinance limiting all outdoor grows to 6 plants...but nobody out here follows limits so its just a crapshoot hoping we dont get spotted aerially and have a compliance check. it does say that cops are not allowed to chop down plants on private property during the first visit...the first visit is for collecting photos and evidence and if you cant prove a legit medical necesitty for the extra plants then they chop them down......at least thats how i interpret the law, several growers in our area have been raided and chopped on the first visit however they were pushing 131 outdoor plants plus indoor and hash making facilities....
you are right, we are extremely smalltime so hopefully we will fly under the radar...we have a property lined up for next year (still crossing fingers) that will alow us to do 25 flowering plants and 50 veg under the local ordinances because its a 20+ acre parcel....

I never got mine too turn purple but the density is hard. only the leaves purple a little but my rooms tend to run hot. I've run it in in hydro, coco, and now dirt (foxfarm, supersoil next)
and the coco came in third, hydro second, and the dirt is kicking ass. trichomes are off the charts some nugs are all silver taste and high are winning too. used organic liquids and resinator (towards the end), bottom feeding in a kiddee pool.
