if you were a non smoker and then got high once how long would it stay in your system/ how concentrated would it be?

drug test question

It depends on your weight, metabolism, general health, how much was smoked, how much you hydrate.
It varies from person to person. I've seen heavy smokers test clean after 3 weeks. Seen moderate smokers test positive after over a month.
Someone that is of average weight, gets a decent amount of exercise and only smoked a moderate amount once *should* test clean in as little as two to three weeks. Concentration is irrelevant. Any amount of THC is automatic fail.
30 days is generally the accepted amount of time for it to be undetectable, but YMMV.

how realistic is the " i inhaled second hand smoke" defense? surely they can detect the amount concentrated in your blood? if it were very low could you have a plausable reason?

It may, however, it depends on what your having to take the UA for
( Job, PO, ect. ect.) .
If your on probation, and the test is for your PO, your defense may not work, due to being around illegal activities, which is a violation of parole.
Unless, you live in a MED State.

(1) Start flushing with water until you can't stand it anymore until the day of your UA.
(2) Piss before you got to take the test, drink a lot of water on the way to the test, and when you begin to piss let the first part of your piss (Yellow) go into the toilet, and then the last part (Clear) go into the cup.
That will at least give you better odd's of passing!

I agree with NOKUY. If you really only smoked once in your life, you should be clean after a few days to a week.
However, I wouldn't take any chances, and start flushing, and follow my advice on my previous post.

In any situation I could possible imagine, you pop positive, you won't get the job. It won't be a matter of them believing your story or not, they just won't have the power or desire to hear your story.
For a large corporation, HR people generally do the drug testing bit. If you fail your drug test, you don't get the job. Ascertaining the plausibility of a potential second hand smoke defense is not in their job description. They aren't going to risk their job or plead with their superiors in your defense.
i know from experience that when clean, if i smoke up one night partying with friends, i will be clean on the morning of the 7th day. i have tested myself many times so i know what i am dealing with in regards to piss tests.
so smoke on Friday night and I will piss clean as early as the next Thurs night or the following Friday.
FYI,
if I smoke 2 days in a row when clean, I will be clean again on the 13th day. And finally if I smoke up all weekend, Fri, Sat and Sun I won't be clean again for 17 days...
there is a dos based program out there called thc_calc.exe. <-- google that and it is fairly accurate for me as far as smoking and getting clean (BELOW 50 ng).
cool little program, shows you maxed out on THC, 1000% at day 71 or 72, something like that. 30 something days to get clean...

i havent smoked since oct 2010 when i was incarcerated. on monday i smoked once spliff in a moment of complete weakness. i ha ve a p.o. appointment next wednesday, with the possibility of a random ua. what are my chances, and what can i do to make things better. i was thinking of going to the dr. tomorrow and getting some prilosec so i can blame it on a false posetive if things go down hill. i really appreciate the advice bros.

THC metabolizes into a different compound and that gets stored in fat and eventually expelled. Smoking only one time, to get clean I could see hitting the gym hard and drinking a bunch of water for 2 days doing the trick.
Drug tests can't detect one tch metabolite molecule... they do have a threshold, some twice as much as others.

so he does the water thing, peeing water pretty much
the probation officer says 'you diluted, better not happen again'
he does it again, basically a f'em message
PO gives him grief, he says he leads a healthy lifestyle, drinks plenty of fluids
claims they eventually just passed him through the system
is it a condition of probation not to have watery urine?

ya im pretty sure the most they could do is make you do another on at a later date. there is no law against it. i went to the dr. today and got some protoxin just to cover my ass. i am still gonna dilute and use some b12. fuckin stressful shit i tell ya.
