I'm glad you brought this up, cause I'm thinking like you at this point in my life(30's). Been puffin on some killer indicas for a long time, but lately I've been wanting something different, like that high you'd get from a good sack of mexi back in the day. That Tikal looks good, may have to try her out.

i'm 45 and here ya on what y'all r saying..let me just say this try chocolope..it's been my fav for a long time..hav had a mom for some time now..very energentic, clear, thought provoking with a killer taste kinda creamy, chocolatey citrusy type..crazy trich production..the best part is it doesn't beat you up on the way down..love love love that shit..
honestly, that's my go to weed..top notch sat dom weed..

Weed-luver, have you tried the Chocolate Thai ancestor to chocolope?

Lipsmcgee, I too love the old Mexicans. Ace's Guatemala sativa looks very intriguing. I've read that it has many traits similar to highland mexican. That and the strawberry gum flavor sounds enticing.

I can't count how many 50 year olds who were big time smokers in the 70s who won't touch the commersh stuff out there now, the market is flooded with pump and dump indicas, which offer a bigger bang for the bucks but the buzz isn't comfortable or enjoyable at all.

I've yet to break 30 myself and I can't stand this stuff anymore.

no one has any patience to grow out exotic sativas....and NO ONE wants too flower a plant for 12-16 weeks and get 1/2 an ounce....they rather grow out knock out OG kushes and Kush this and Kush that.....I am so sick of Kush...

I want me some fruity spicy sativa.
peace

Unless you're in the tropics or subtropics - the sativas are hard going (but not impossible), so it can be a good idea to cross those knock down indicas with the soaring psychedelic sativas...and get the best of both worlds.:dance013:

I agree with bushweed that sativas are hard going, but not impossible. If you have enough grow space you can grow faster sat/indica hybrids, and grow sativas alongside. it's always nice to have some 'Connoisseur herb'.

i don't believe i have..in the old days thai was always around..have you?..i have grown out i wanna say montarabel's lemon thai yrs ago maybe 4..frosty big colas kinda short in stature..good weed..

I can't wait to get the Kona Gold going. Old school high, new school yields and from what I hear it has a few tasty pheno's aswell. Also, haven't run Chocolope either yet but that's another that has big yields of nice sativa buds from what I've seen and from what Sam said. I definitely love my Indi's for the numbing I get from them (wouldn't call it pain killing really, when I really think about it) but for an all guns blazing, head sex experience nothing comes close to a really fine Sat and If there were no hybrids I'd have to go Sats for my "desert Island" bud.

Weed-Luver- That Chocolope sounds like some stuff I got once that was sold to me as "Columbian" , but your description hits the taste and stone really close. I still refer to that one bag as my favorite weed ever, even though it was probably close to 20 years ago when I got it. Looking back, I realize I was "brought up " on mostly sativas and am really craving them now, especially after being in a Sour Bubble "coma" for a couple of years now. Hmmm... Chocolope or Tikal or ?. Thanks for the heads up
