So... Elenin will not be visible from earth even at its closest approach (0.234 AU) without a telescope.

Halley's Comet was visible to the naked eye when it flew by in 1986. There were a lot of people who expected bad things to happen when Halley's comet flew by last time.

There was even a movie made about it (Night of the Comet.) In the movie, anybody who wasn't sheltered by a movie-theater projection booth either turned into dust or a zombie.

But in real life, nothing happened.

Yeah. For me my choices were:

• Night of the Comet
• First Blood
• Empire Strikes Back
• Some samurai movie about protecting some very small kid from an army of invaders
• A tape of a random hour or so of Mtv, back when they showed videos.

All of these videos had been brought to my house and left there by someone else, or else I'd have had NOTHING to watch.

We didn't have cable and only got like 2 channels on our regular tv (didn't have an antenna either) so I watched those videos so many times as a kid.

Sounds like you've been reading (or are quoting something you heard) from Zecharia Sitchin and his book "The 12th Planet."

All of mine have NO MUSIC, just facts and instead of drawings, they take actual telescope images and computer models of things in the real world.
