mtnlivin - sounds good! How is the traffic? Average rent for a 2-3 bedroom house over there?

dank - thats exactly what im doin, transferring with a fortune 500 company out there. With drip/blumats + coco, there is very little maintenance required (maybe 2 hours a week)

Californiaaa electricity prices suck, my elec bill with 4 x 1kwhps will be how much??

its simply dumbfounding how any of those hillbilly cops actually think they are stopping crime by throwing smokers and growers in jail.....meanwhile people are cooking meth, beating their wives, starting KKK militias but i guess that doesnt matter to them...

its kinda like that out here too though...in california the cops like busting growers and dealers of marijuana more than methlabs because we have more cash on hand and nicer vehicles to repo.....they bust a methlab and its a bunch of junkies who shoot all their profits into the crankpipe..

A guy in the state where I reside recently like a few months ago got life in prison for a second time drug possession offense, which is truly offensive to me, anytime in prison is too much for cannabis, but life WTF !!!:plant grow:

I'm ready to go in a few months, still can't make up my mind!!!

1)California, 2) then Colorado,3) then Michigan, 4)?

Some parts of Cali are gorgeous, could have a nice life.

I also hear Denver, Boulder, Ft. Collins are awesome places to live and grow, lots of college girls, lax laws, but cant sell to dispensaries in CO anymore I believe!!!

lost....:)

Go to CA. In CO if you don't have friends pre-established, you're fucked. I have tons of great meds but no way to get rid of them. I thought this would be no problem for a non-socially retarded, but I am having great difficulty here.

Alas, this is the best place in the country I've ever lived...

Hey man, I'm guessing you grow outdoors in the Kentucky wilderness...imagine if you could get a ton of auto seeds and put them out May 1, cut them down on July 1...avoid 4 months of flyovers!

It would be nice if that wasn't something to worry about, although traffic is down this summer so far. I'm like you and PBW above, it would be nice to just not have to worry about things.

Oklahoma. It's been all over the news.

Oh fuuuuuuuuuuuck yea, Oklahoma is absolutely notorious. I remember they recently passed a life in prison for making hash law there...What gets me, is that, and any of you may also notice this...but the states that contribute the least to the country, have the highest poverty rates, highest illiteracy, and are the most racist, have the most worst laws

New law in KY just took effect recently. Eight oz or less is supposedly a class B misdemeanor with max time of 45 days. We're struggling financially like everyone, and our prisons are clogged. I can't speak to Maryland as it's about a healthy drive from here.

Well that was a number of years ago, I don't know if they're as strict now but I don't smoke in the car anymore just to be on the safe side.

Man, this thread strait pumps a brotha' up!

Everyone says SoCal isn't as pot friendly, but you get better prices. Been to SD once, its beautiful, but should one go to the Bay Area (aka, supposed flood central?) for overall quality of life, mmj laws, etc.?

A little intimidating as people have been growing for 30+ years there w/ prized cuts, but I'm always up for a challenge :)

I second the having a regular job + social life + grow combo. All about balance..

They say, and I believe them, that violent crime is down....I believe in SF it hasn't been this low since the sixties and in LA violent crime is lower than it has been in the last 15 + years....

However, violent crime among gangs is increasing and this is very prevalent on the news...Gang violence and mistaken identity murders are always on the news...always something fucked up happening. Nevertheless, it tends to be among gangs....

In conclusion, research not only the city you want to move to, but the part of the city you are moving to....IMO, every city in CA is safe, however, there are parts of every city that I wouldn't go....Stockton, richmond, and oakland all have high murder rates but each has very nice parts of the city having not actually been to stockton just heard.

Traffic all depends on where you want to live.. Me being at 6400 feet, rarely sees "traffic"...

I pay $1500 a month for an extremely nice newly built 3 bedroom house with a 2 car garage.

Electricity prices also depend on where you live.. A four 1k setup with dehuey, fans, veg room ect ect, close to 6k or more. Plus big ass TV in the house and everything else that runs all the damn time... I average about $260-$300 a month.

is it possible to get a rental house lined up before moving to cali if you don't have a job when you get out there?

Also how long does it take to get the med card? You just have to show rental lease and your home-state I.D.?

Would be nice to have 6 months of expenses saved up and equipment before making the move. Looking at $25k+ at least i'd say.

Anything is possible, but whether it is a good idea is another question.

Day1.Get a place to live
Day2. Get a drivers licence
The middle of day 2 if the dmv doesn't suck ass. Get your med card
The end of the day. Take your first trip to the dispensary...
So, two days if you are motivated..

Equipment? for what? You need a job...two a pound dont cover too much

it does when you have 10+ lights, but yes i agree a job would be nice to have these days. $1200 month at starbux don't cover much either

wow, this is exactly my situation. im in my mid twenties, been wanting to move to a friendly state for years now but between family problems and than money problems i have been stuck in limbo between nj and ny (both nazi states). man, i cant wait to get the fk out of here.

i have the added bonus of having untreatable glaucoma (yes im looking at the silver lining, and not so much at the, im going to be a blind old man part) so i'll be able to get my medical license no problem.
