She is getting big.... I think that I am going to let her veg tell the end of this month then im going to flip the bitch into 12/12. I am interested to see how these buds are going to grow, hopefully they do have a nice purple tent on them. If its true about the differing the temp between 15-20deg F between night and day and how it helps make them purple it should really be purple.
Also think that she is gonna get watered tonight

Well im ready for the real fun to begin. I thought that I was going to wait tell the end of the month but I was told that this plant likes to stretch 2-3X during flower so I thought that it would be prudent to flip it.

I changed my method of LST because it was a pain to have to take of the lid and remove each wire every time I wanted to water, so I used some different wire and anchored them directly to the "pot" these should be permanent if all works out. It seems that I was able to stretch the branches out more with this wire and make the plant flatter.

It seems that I am going to have a huge waste of space so next time I might do 2 plants to maximize the space and wattage available.

The temps are still outrageous like 95*F, so I think within the next 2weeks im going to get two 125cfm pc fans and put them in the back of the cab as intake and leave the wally world fan on the top as an exhaust. I might not be able to have an exhaust that is not venting into the carbon filter because it already has a smell to it, not a skunk but a new growth green smell. Last grow I didn't have really any problems with temps so this is a bitch to have to deal with it. I was also thinking about cutting a hole into the hood of the light and attaching a fan and trying to vent the heat from the light, depending on the smell of the plant.

I would really think about more exhuast than what the caged fan will provide. Maybe take the two 120mm fans and put them at the top back corners. You can make a cheap scrubber from tupperware or pencil holders. Search For sugarbear's thread on micro srubbers. You also need 2x the intake (passive/not powered) than exhuast. If smell is a concern then don't use any fans for intake as that will push the scented air out of the box instead of containing it and being sent only thru the exhuast setup. So for 2 4" hole you need 4 4" hole. This could be broken up into smaller holes or two large holes. The. Put a oven/ bread drying rack in the bottom to keep the plants from sitting over the holes, thus cutting off air flow. It'd might take 1/2" to an 1" of height space. Well worth it to have controllable temps, light proofing, and stealth.

I'm in for this one. I'm pulling clones right now and plan on flowering them to check for moms in the next week or two so I'll making a new box shortly. Good luck.

I got some glass from a craft store for $5 but I had them cut it a 1/4inch to long. It slants but it works for now I am stoked because it looks good and should be able to vent the heat out from the ballast and lamp. The plant is looking beautiful and ill post some pics up after i get my glass rearranged

Glad you got your temps down. Did you get clones from this cut? I wish I could get my hands on some good clones. Everything around my area is mostly bagseed clones. If it is a proven genetic line they won't sell it or they charge $50 a clone. I am growing from bagseed because of this. No real headstash growers around me.

No clones from it because I get free clones from my co op most of the time so I dont bother, plus I like to grow different strains.

Well I asked the wife to water while I was at fight night and she didn't so I had to water this morning it was pretty dry. The roots are doing great I can see them popping up all over the place and am wondering if I should duct tape the sides so they dont get burnt.

Its been about a week since I have updated the journal because I got a virus on my comp and just fixed it myself

A lot has happened in a week if you can see from last post how small she was now she is like an inch away from the light. Since I put the glass in the temps have plummeted and the plant has gone crazy. I have been pinching the stalks on the buds to slow down vertical growth because I wont have enough space if it stretch another 4inches so Im trying like hell to keep it down. Other than that I got some new nutes .... Bud Candy, Grow , and the other I already had. I saw BCChronic use Bud Candy and that guy had some amazing buds so I thought I might as well try it.

About your ? On your roots. I don't believe that they are getting "burnt". If you are talking about the clear container. Roots don't like light or voids in open air. That's the idea behind air pots/ smart pots. Once the roots hit the side of the container the hit air and die off thus not becoming root bound. One of the main reason for dark pots is to hinder alge growth. Hope this helps.

I went into the cab today and it looked like the girl got beat up. I thought that I could just drowned her in nutes but I was completely wrong and am paying for it. It seems that there was a substantial amount of damage done and it all happened in less than 24 hours hope she can recover she has done amazing things so far so hopefully this will just add to her credentials.

IN LESS THAN 8 HOURS MY PLANT IS ALMOST COMPLETELY DEAD. THE LEAVES ARE ALL DROOPY SOME OF THE LEAVES ON THE TOP BUDS ARE BURNT OR DYING. FUCK ME

I know its a little late now but you did flush the soil mix correct? If not do it asap. Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Hopefully it'll pull thru. At the very least its going to stop growth and flowering for awhile. Did you happen to test the ppm amount of the nutrient solution to see where your nutrient ceilings are? Also in my soil grows I always watered "nutrients, water, water, repeat." to keep from having salts buildup or nutri. lockout.

Well I chopped it and took the little nugs that had developed, it sucks but it was a learning experience. I got over 8gs wet that is only 2-3weeks into flower so im gonna get another clone of this and try again.
