My feed was fine all night.

My last 2 night Phish run cost me around 2k, so this was a whole lot easier on the wallet.

I hear ya!!! Not like it used to be for sure. Between buying tix, getting bunk L, gas, airfare, car rental, hotel/camping, food, beverages, etc. It definatley takes its toll!

If anyone needs sbd's of the previous west coast shows PM me and ill shoot them to you once I get the PM.

On another note UIC tix are looking next to impossible unless you're ready to custie up. The sad thing is I had 4 in my cart the day of the onsale and got greedy and threw them back cause I was looking for floor. For a myriad of reasons I believe these Chitown shows are going to be sick! Stubhub has tix but they are ridiculously priced. I have also heard that they may be close to the Hampton 09 tix as far as demand but we'll see. The guy who started this thread hooked me up for face on all 3 Hampton tix. I saw people willing to pay $500 for 1 ticket back then so GL to all who are going ticketless. SF tonight!! I hope taper420 is there with his gear.

I was going to go to tonights show, but alas something came up.
I got tomorrow off couch tour is back on bitches! The other night I didn't remember about live phish or I would have used it. I just went to hood stream and got links to someone re-broadcasting the livephish feed. I just thought that whomever was at the show was recoding off the giant screens then I remembered that tahoe is small venue and probably doesn't have jumbo-trons. Then it died in the middle of walls and I went to bed. :cathug:

So what are you all hearing about New Year's?

I'm hearing Miami but who really knows? I already booked a nice room for the run if they do it. So for those of you guys/gals who went to UIC:

Were they as good as everyone says?
I have listened to all 3 shows a couple of times and think they're definately above par. I'm looking to hear from someone who saw a bunch of shows in 1.0 tbh but chime in anyway if you were there.

yes. they were as good as everyone says. best sets in order were night 3 set 2, night 3 set 1, night 1 set 2. fucking unbelievable playing. night two wasn't that great, but did have some highlights. DWD>Twist was most noteable.

the "encore" night one was awesome. it felt like a surprise 3rd set basically. starting with Camel Walk and ending with a monster Hood, they didn't really play any typical encore songs. It left everyone with a giant smile plastered across their faces.

Colonel Forbin's opener the 3rd night!:jump: no narration, but still. so sweet. I was hanging with a couple of well known people in the Cannabis World (well known if you're a geek like me and read books and things on the internet about herb.), who also both happen to be huge phish fans. One of them informed me that it was the first forbin's opener since '89.

second set was the real treat of the show though. Cross-eyed bled through the whole set. still waiting...:) only weird thing about the set was the Ghost that actually clocked in at 4 seconds shorter than the album version...but they cut it off to go into one of the funniest/coolest makisupa's ever. Trey's got a house now, and in it he sit on the couch and smokes herb all day while listening to his favorite albums by artists such as Dank Sinatra, HERBie Hancock, Nat King Bowl, Harry Chronic Jr, and Van Inhalin'. Thats what's happening at trey's house.

A lot of my friends saw a ton of 1.0 shows. I haven't seen any so maybe my opinion isn't valid, but I've seen 31 3.0 shows, and night 3 of the UIC run I think is in contention for best show of the year. only thing that comes close is the last day of SBIX. My friends that have seen shows going back as far as '93-'94 all agree with me though. Everyone knows the boys are back to it in top form.

Go to Denver!!! I'll be there. Can't miss the last announced shows of the year. Of course I'll be where ever NYE is too, but Denver is gonna be great.

i stream every show and typicall downloads the sbds if i was impressed...phish is playing even better than leg 1. leg 1 was some of the best consistent phish in 3.0

i was really into it and am into this second leg as well. whats most important is that the band looks like they are having a lot of fun. very vocal, laughing smiling, ad-libbing. its great

a result of them having fun is the TASTY jams. phish is firing on all cylinders the majority of shows. really great.what i love most is the plinko phish. where trey and page are REALLY feeding off each other. mike and fish have really been DRIVING the band with the thick grooves they are dropping.

Cooll guys thanks for the reviews. Yeah the Forbins hasnt been opened a show since 89 so I'm sure it was epic. I can hear the energy listening to the auds which imo gives more perspective of the energy VS sbd's. Glad to hear you and your circle had a blast TICKLE and I bet you had the dankest smell coming from you and your buddies. I wish I could have made UIC as it sounds incredible and I hope it just gets better and better!

indeed we did, not only from myself, but another IC member who is pretty much one of my heroes, and was a major inspiration to me when I first started growing way back in overgrow days. I know we turned some heads while we were puffing. Even got mentioned in the night 3 review on the coventry blog. lol. i wasn't aware that one of the dudes my boy was passing to would be compelled to add us to his normal review of the show. guess we made it feel like home for him, since i guess he's a pot snob.

I've been listening back to the shows while doing garden work, and the music is just so good. 17 min divided sky :blowbubbles:

I am hearing MSG from a truly reliable source. Will ask someone else who will definitely know and post again soon. I wish it were Miami though, b/c a few of my old tour crew live down there and I think the party, not to mention the prices and weather, would be a lot better.

Prices are about the same actually. Miami was more expensive flight and food, msg was more expensive hotel and right after 18" of snow fell in manhattan.

last time I saw phish at MSG I lost my job even though was a scheduled time off (don't worry won my case), and also got stranded in the train station for hours waiting for the train back home. Had a big duck duck goose game going for a while but too many crack heads and homeless people started ruining it and almost caused a brawl so we had to chill.

oh and the show was great too!

edit: phish in 95 at MSG was practically surreal, just the enormity of the place. Maybe I didn't get out enough then :pimp3:
