Your right and if i can find the way west im there. But i really would wouldn't know where to start to get out there. I grew up in a small town, then moved to a bigger one, but dont know anyone out that way. I guess i have a Aunt in Texas, but way to hot for me there. I would really like to get out to Cali tho. But when i was in my wreck at 19, i never had a chance to travel so i dont know where to start.

I looked at apartments in Cali, but way more then i could swing. I should have made the move last year, i could have made it then. But this year was a bad year for me, but that doesnt mean im not going to try and get out there. The sooner the better, people suck around here!

Great storm pic man,

Headband....Or should I say Sgt Schultz? That's an easy question. I have a shitty old 16' ft bayliner with 2 55 HP motors. It's a good boat for Hawaii, because if a motor goes down, the other'll bring you home. We bottom fish because there's good money there. Three types of fish I will always keep, A mu'u....white meat that tastes like lobster. A uku? fuck you all...my boat ,my fish....you get your crew cut, I take the uku....and of course Ono is my favorite. I'll fight for that. When I catch one....Ono, breakfast, lunch and dinner. No abalone here, so I never tried a fresh one....Wouldn't mind trying one though.

Here in Hawaii the ocean is like the fridge. No licence needed. In the old days, every pasture had a board gate you can climb over and walk thru to the water. Catch dinner, take your garbage out, all's good. The land owner provided axcess...Ladders even, so you can fish.

Now things have changed. The haoles that bought the land are closing axcess off. Fish are scarce, not near as many spots to shorecast. And if your in the wrong place your ride gets trashed while you are fishing. That party's over. So the boat is a big help.

LSY... Knowing your circumstance, I know a move would be hard. You gotta get rid of that ex. You want out, one day things will fall into place, and you will be in a better place.
That's all I can hope for you. Meanwhile, not everybody is an asshole. There's a few of them out there. Try to find one...or two. That's all you need. And to hell with the rest of 'em.

vdog. I won't say what I think I'll get this year. To me that's a jinx. Don't count your chickens until they are in the bag. I can say that last year I did regrows. Had 28 holes, but 9 were duds. The plants were smaller and I got 44 lbs. So last year I had an avg of 2+ lbs a hole (not counting duds). If I can do that with 21...and only 2 duds this year, I will be happy.

As I said in the earlier post, I've got a shitload of stuff to do and the sun's up. Time to get to work.

sour d goes amazing out here...

Well...cat's out of the bag.

Headbandf1 hit the nail on the head. How I have absolutly no clue. My hat's off to you. Hope ya scored on your dive.

I saw where...but then I already knew the answer.

Rodney works for me. And that name isn't gonna fly in Hawaii....not a chance.

Ok, here's what you do...make up a name...something with too many vowels...like Ooaaii....it'll work, trust me.

No need to thank me...I'm here to serve.

I'm just hoping the one girl that I've got treats me as good as OH has talked her up! Personally I don't smoke enough, but I do know many old school hippys that "may" remember something like her,..... Yeah right! :blowbubbles:

I was gonna grab a macro shot of the pistils,... nice and bright white right now (still in Vege under 18/6) But I can't find the F'n camera!

Lights out in about 10 minuets, so ya gotta wait another day or week! ;)

I'm Old...Please Shoot Me....

Vdog TYVM. You were told the truth.

Fedor, depending on where you live Indicas can be grown. My partner lives 6 miles down the road. Way drier than here. Six of his seven are Indicas. There doing fine. But he get's 8 inches of rain a year avg. You get what? Around 50? I get 30 inches here.

HRM... What do I look like? A big nameless seed company? Just make up a name. Pffttt. Screw that. It has a name. You made up the name. That's what I'm calling it. And people are asking for it by name here.

The legend begins....Alert the media.

Since I have taken a bunch of her, the yield jinx is done with Rodney. She got to six ft,bent over, and will yield a lb. More, but I broke a big branch off of her. Cut a support line by accident. I took all the drippers off and watered her once a week. That helped keep the mold off of her.

Canni...You haven't had a clue since Clinton was president. Remember, like drunk dialing, drunk posting can bite'cha. You may have to make a post disappear...again. You don't smoke enough? That's easy to fix.

Weez....Where ya been? How ya been? Anything good happening? Got any budporn? Don't be shy. Slap it up. Make it rhyme.

Over the weedend and the last couple of days we've been in the cane. We're not done, but we're real close. Found the two that were bothering me. Even found one of the lost ones, seeded, but lots of Rodney seeds there. E
Almost everything has been found, maled, and given more time release.

We rode bicycles in. Low tech all the way. All downhill though.

The gulch has been cleaned up and fertilized. Manicured 10 ozs of Rodney, All the coffee is picked and dryed. Clones are running, and I'm only half done. No rest for the wicked.

The bottom garden is full of quarter sized buds. The gulch always follows behind by three weeks due to the set up. It sits east to west. Durring summer the sun hits the gulch @ 8:30 because the bamboo is in the way. As the days get shorter the sun track moves South, it clears the bamboo and the gulch gets sun earlier.

Speaking of sun...where the hell is it? Last week was pretty cloudy, with a light mist the last two evenings. We almost always get a couple of hot, scorching (scorching up here is sunny and 80 degrees) months sometime each summer. They better get here soon. Right now it doesn't hurt, but it will when everything is fat buds....Come on sun.

Now to the shitty pics,

1) Rodney in bud.
2) The great wall of Rodney. et al
3) A ladder for scale. Behind are the Jack Herer girls.
4) Japaneese Hashplant...I didn't name it.
5) Coffee screaming. "pick us!"
6) LSY's Regrow.
7) Rodney in the cane.
8) A new canefield. Also a big empty place to be spotted, with nowhere to hide.

I Got Damn Lucky

I Got Damn Lucky

If you've been following this clusterfuck, a few pages back I was bragging about how one of the giants was really two plants, in one hole.

The last few days I have been trimming all the center branches off. Everything that won't see the sun, gets removed. It's very humid here, and that's where a lot of problems start. The gulch was easy. Cleaned them up, duck soup. Then I got a burr under my skin and decided to do everything. The first one was the double giant.

I knew it was going to take forever. You kinda gotta cut your way in, then enlarge the area until you can stand up. So I get the bigger one done, and get to the smaller one. I'm on it for a good 15 minutes, and I spot a male flower. One single flower. Look over the whole plant. Find nothin. That's all on a 9 ft plant. Stashed on the side where I'd never find it.

Well.... that would have messed with my head for the entire season.
Seed here, seed there.

That plant... or should I say those plants?...were pretty. Such beautiful semetry....now it looks like King Kong mis-hit a wedge off of her.

Rodney's kids and the Jack are still taking their own sweet time to bud. So I got nothing....yet. Also pulled the mulch off them. I can adjust the drippers, so either we get some sunny days, or I'm going to cut the water back.

Earlier I removed an obvious fag from the blob. Last year I didn't have a one. This year two. Both are the Thai crosses. Time to retire that line.

The moral of the story? If you grow from seed....there is always a chance....however small.... of a male flower. You always gotta stay on it. I got saved by dumb luck.

I just spent the better part of an afternoon and evening reading all the way through this thread, and it's been a pleasure! I'll keep checking in, and hope to see a growlog 4.0 when the time comes.

Thank you for a great read, to all who contributed.

Anger is a Gift....

Anger is a Gift....

GHUA... TYVM....I know....I talk too much. Far too wordy...Add in the cast of characters, and ... hell...you get like 30 pages, and we've hardly got to the good part....if there is a good part.

Part 4?....If Part 3 doesn't explode spectacularly, I'm going to get that excavator in the gulch and do some serious remodeling. Bigger and better.

I'm starting to worry. In a normal year we have a couple of months of solid summer sunshine up here. August and September last year saved my ass. Most locals hate September. Too damn hot...not so far this year. My worry is the winter rains come early this year.

Right now at 10:45 PM the humidity is @ 80+%. In the day it's like 65%. The high temp down at the airport has yet to break 90....for the year. Here isn't the best on the island place to grow. Far from it. If I could scoot this house a mile and a half down the hill, I'd be shittin' in tall cotton. Move it five miles, left or right, on this hill and no or far less mold problem.

But...you get what you get. So you work with it. And the WPM is making a lot of humbug so far this year. Like a bad case of the clap....it keeps comming back. The realization that this grow may crash and burn is starting to set in.

So fair warning....if I don't get that month or six weeks of sun, at just the right time....and that time is flying up at me....it may be game over at the house....

Kinda makes the cane a little more important huh?...

That looks a bit more promising. Out of call it 500 holes, we snuck 150 past Green Harvest, unwatered fields, deer, security, and my own forgetfulness (or my partner dropping me off in the wrong place). The plant sizes range from 2 ft tall to 12 ft tall.

Everything there is done. All were maled twice. Only lost (as in no can find) one patch....that pisses me off. How the fuck do you lose a patch? So now we wait. Let'em do their own thing. No WPM in the cane.

Three of the 11 plants in the gulch are starting to bud. My to do list is almost history. Cane is done. New clones are done. Coffee is picked, husked, dried, unshelled, and roasted. Everything except the blob has been cleaned up. Even finished the compost pit and dug a fresh new one.

Pic 1) the nice looking plant my last post after I found the sneaky male.
Pic 2) The first Jack Herer budding in the gulch. Small buds starting.
Pic 3) Whole plant shot of the same plant in pic 2.
Pic 4) A Jack Here double. Pic is of the narrow side.
Pic 5) LSY's regrow. Regrows usualy go off early. This one is.
Pic 6) A Thai cross. Starting to bud. Lost a couple of branches off this one to branch rot.
Pic 7 Clean up on asile 13.

Anger is a Gift....And That Gift was Given to me Today

Anger is a Gift....And That Gift was Given to me Today

Here's a few good shots of your tax dollars at work.

Look at that. I finally took some good pics....It ain't hard when the chopper is 100 ft directly above you.

What a clusterfuck. I got the call early this AM that Green Harvest would be flying today. Pulled the clones off the deck, took another branch off of Rodney, and got ready to go to town. Had stuff to do. Fifteen minutes after the call I hear 'em. Two choppers working their way toward us.

They were on us like stink on shit. From the air the gulch looks like a big green bus. Two choppers circling in opposite directions. Say hello to the nice policeman dear. They land in the pasture next to the house. I tell wifey to stay inside, keep the dogs inside and I will go deal with this.

By the time I get to the fence, two cops are on my property. They ask how many am I growing. I have paperwork for 28, but I have 21 holes....wait a minute, you said you are growing for three. Well....my patient from last year that I dropped, renewed and had no address to grow at. So she put mine down as her caregiver.

The cops ask me to show them the girls. They said nothing about my double plants. They count, twenty one holes, then they inform me that every plant I have is mature...Mature?...mature my ass. He said that is MPD policy that any plant with any hair on it is mature. I asked since when was MPD (county) setting policy for The Dept of Public Safety (state)? Doesn't that work the other way? He had no reply.

By that time the second chopper had landed in the pasture. More cops. Unfortunatly I went to school with the pilot. Know of him.
Good pilot, but as a human he is a tool. He comes up and starts asking questions. He points to a plant and says I'll get a couple of pounds off of her. I ask if he has recently joined the Police Dept. or is he still just a chopper jocky?

Then recite the law back to him. I can turn that plant into less than on oz if I make honey oil out of her. Or I shake an oz of Kief off of her, chuck the rest and I'm legal. No more questions about quanity.

The sargeant comes up and reiterates every plant in my garden is mature. I say bullshit, he's welcome to take them all, and I will happily sue MPD. By his own definition two of the biggest ones are immature. No visable flowers. Oh and your choppers are parked on private property. Neighbor pops up over the fence and tells the cops to get off of his land.

Time to wheel and deal. Head cop wants 6 plants, but I can pick them. Ask my neighbor to wait a few minutes. Sounds like the deal I was expecting...even hoping for. Take the Thai, leave the gulch alone. The only one staying in the bottom garden is Rodneys kid.....this is working out well.

Then the wifey comes out....OH FUCK NOOO. She is the most wonderful woman, but she talks too much, and doesn't lie very well, or often for that matter. She's happily telling everybody her story. And contradicting a lot of what I already had sold as fact.

That cost me another three. The cop did give me a break, he took the scraps from Rodney, the little Japaneese Hash plant, and a big Jack Herer plant. The big one was in the middle, so that opens the others to more sun....if it ever shines again up here this year.

They hook up and fly out of here with three loads. The last load out was the asshole pilot I insulted, and he flew slowly up the gulch, his rotor wash just beating the crap out of everything left. Took hours to fix, but that was one hell of a stress test on the frames. Broke branches, but repairable.

So the cops took nine plants of my choise. All were last years Thai crosses. I kept a Thai cross, the Elephant ear, four Jack plants, LSY's regrow, and all five of Rodneys kids. They got nine, some big, some small. I got twelve trees. The smallest regrow will yield @ lb half....which I will shake all the Kief off, leaving me exactly one oz of
usable MJ....yea right.

But I learned some things. They don't care if you have more than one plant per hole. They are willing to wheel and deal on plants, they don't want to defend the definition of mature. And as soon as they say only one oz per plant, remind them that you have other ways of concentrating marijuana. You can indeed turn that tree into an oz.

If wifey had stayed inside like I asked her....no...told her.... I could have kept a few more. My barganing postition got a lot weaker when she came outside, I had no idea of what she was saying, and she didn't know what I said. Stories didn't match.

Security wise I think I'm blown. It could go either way. Rips could think they got them all, so no reason to check. Or just the opposite.
I have no idea. Either way harvest will be put back a month later. I let, or they let me, the police have the shittier weed. I've been smoking the Thai for well over a year...I am not too upset about seeing it go.

Good thing I fed my patient. Have one more full plant for her, so she isn't going to go hungry. My one yearly good deed.

A few of you (myself included) have been using me as a guinnie pig, to see what happens if you try to go big on all seven. Now you know. The concrete stuff can bite you. I don't think the subjective stuff can. More than seven....ya got bit. What I did...staying at legal, maxing out seven, seems to be no harm no foul.

Also the way the law is written, If you have ten people legaly occuping a house, and all are permitted, each can be caregivers to another ten that have a card, but no place to grow. I asked the sargeant.

The F1 mainland seeds that always go off early can be gotten in before GH flies may be an answer. Another would be to dig three giant holes, and put three plants of the same strain together in that hole, and try for three superplants. But the way they are trying to interpret the law, and the plant cycles...long season you can only grow three. Any plant with hair is mature....that needs to be chalanged in court. The powers that be know that arguement is a dog.

Add one more thing to the to do list....start more seeds. I have empty holes in search of immature plants.

Here's some pics of shit you do NOT want to see.

Pic 1) Getting ready to hook up half of the lower garden. In the forground is a giant they claimed was mature. Leave it alone boys. Its still there.
Pic 2) The Jack plant takes off. You can see how its done.
Pic 3) The second part of the lower garden flys away.
Pic 4) Another chopper shot. Notice all the crap flying around from the rotor wash.
Pic 5) The shit beat out of this tree. What an asshole. Bastard couldn't get it legaly, so he tries to flatten it. Neva work.

At least they say "With hairs on it" Here in Co, if it's over 8 inches tall its a "Mature" plant, even if it's a seedling that hasn't even shown sex! :frown:

Good luck bro, I got my fingers crossed that the rippers weren't chasing the choppers.

OH, nice pic of the chopper behind the tree of MJ,.... Jackass probably knew you took that pic and tried to flatten the rest of your girls because of it.
