BIG Blessings & Respect 2 the Humble!!!

BIG Blessings & Respect 2 the Humble!!!

True, I haven't written in a long while - for a picture is worth a thousand words... However, when I do have the time, I choose to follow this thread; for, it is here that I have found knowledge, comradeship, and happiness in knowing that we the people are speaking freely of our endeavors as farmers amidst a new paradigm where medicine is not monopolized but grown by and for the people in need. We are growing an ancient medicine to it's fullest capacity and we are doing it very well.

With that said, I'd like to thank all of my icmag comrades for all of your positivity! Grey Beard, Nomad, Trinity Gold, Dr. Purpur, Sierra Organics, YosemiteSam, Bushweed, Butte, Tom Hill, Doobieduck, Rootwise, ManitoidsGhost, JJScorpio, Madhemp, Midnight, Ganja D, and so much more!!!

Sierra Organics
Holy smokes fill. u got some real giants. way to go! r those from clone or seed? Ive always wanted to try one time with seeds as more vigor = bigger tree or atleast it seems.
Thanks for your complements - All of the "Sunset Garden's" strains are from clone this year. I have grown and witnessed both clone and seeds in various situation throughout the seasons. Both are impressive. I have recently decided to discontinue my seed selection (which comes from one of the best [unknown, unless you know him] breeders of all times and only go with clones this year. Reason being, I've realized that clones will (almost always) replicate their mother... and these particular Mothers are, to say the least, impressive! However, both clone and seed, time and time again, have produced 10 to 12 pound plants. GreenGoldyLocks - that is a GOOD thing! Remember; the cup is half full...

YosemiteSam
Fillthepotmore...fantastic looking garden. Best of luck on the finish. It looks like your wire support goes higher than most. Would you mind sharing your thinking behind it, if it is working out like you thought and how you did it?
We use an eternal wire support, followed by a larger wire cage as the ladies grow wider and taller. Then, except for some cages that were originally made with concrete wire that stands 7' and cost you a pretty penny, we add an additional 4' cage. So, all in all, you have a support system of approximately 6 x 8. We use T bar posts as well as additional 7' bamboo post that rises up to 10'... Then, they get bigger... We zip tie hortonova trellising on top of the the first cage before the tree rises above it's 4' mark. Then, half way up the second cage we zip in another layer of hortonova... Then, we add another layer of trellis at the top of the second cage (8') hopefully before the boughs make it through the top. After that, when the trees have surpassed the 9' mark we add (what we hope to be) the last top layer of hortonova (tied to the bamboo posts connected to the T post that reaches approx. 10'). Next, we "BLOUSE" the girls, by tying an approx. 64 sq. cutting of hortonava around the entire upper body of the trees... Then, we "Skirt" them with an additional cut of hortonava and tie it back into the under-cage to support boughs as the flowers get heaver. At this point, we hope we are finished with trellising; however, at times (last year with our Mental Floss) we had to add additional support (more bamboo and more hortonova)... what a chore! At any rate, out of all the wonderful seasons of growing medicine for the people, we have had only one tree, fall, during the October weather... A Metal Floss took a dive during a pre-harvest storm - luckily, I was there that morning - only minutes after it took its upper fall. I saved it from the muddy floor board and we harvested her the following day. She would have broken our current record of 13 lbs... Damit! So sad... Nahhh we were blessed!

If you don't feed the troll it will die. I promise, then I can go back to lurking this thread in peace.
The Troll is under the bridge and starving for negative attention; poor soul - to be in such a way and under watering his ladies... I can not believe that you would ever un-satisfiy a woman that way...

Grow them "BIG or go Home"... Say a little a lot or at the least - speak when you are acknowledged and questioned... Otherwise BIG UP all the "Growers of Organic Medicine," be happy, be positive, and share the love... GreenGoldylocks has been ostracized... The witch is dead... The Troll is unfed!!!

Dr. Purpur, very nice. Did you do light deprivation on the ones that have the large buds? Just curious how you are getting buds that big this early. Whatever you are doing, you're doing it right!

Yes.

Thank You. Those are LA Confidential, and Headband.

They go into the shop each night at 6 pm. They are both pretty grower friendly clones. The LA I scored from seed a year and a half ago. Real nice. Real early. 8 weeks. Purpling real well in cool weather. Nice hash flavor. OG Kush instant high.

Make sure you get alot of sack time & take care of that back , that's some heavy labor represented there man ...whew!
( And there's not the advantages of alot of machine aid when out on the mt all year long)

So pace yourselves babies give those muscles & sinews time to heal up & recoup every so often, can see the fatigue from here. Harvest will be soon making those huge demands of the body again but your a stout lad for sure , FillthePotmore !

:)

* One of the best investments anyone working this hard can make is one of the highest quality sleep systems out there & the best quality pillows .....no dollar amount too much ! The best down King sized pillows from Bed Bath Beyond and those Select Comfort Aire beds are real nice , last forever and worth every $ ....

Select Aire Sleep Systems , these are military grade pontoon quality, you could float all
the way to Japan on one of these but really sleeping on adjustable air like on a cloud:

** Its definitely Ok to pamper oneself in this important area just ask BabbaBud who still has his
kingsized waterbed (and original hookha pipe) from the 1970's !! :biglaugh:
