Prevent Overwatering... Try using this.

This is not a sales pitch... just something that helps me accurately water or feed my plants with the exact amount necessary every time.

I was always spacing out while watering and counting seconds in my head.. This water meter solved that problem. Lets you know the exact amount to the 10th of a gallon. It has a cumulative lcd display or you can push reset at each pot.

Warning... if you use it for compost tea you have to strain it because the constant dirt particles clog it up.. (easy to clean)

The thing is designed to accurately count anything from gas to molasses.

Been using it for 2 months now. No problems at all. Haven't even had to change a battery. its well made, can take a big fall. obviously waterproof.

Just my $.02

I bought it from Dultmeier Sales www.dultmeier.com Sotera Meter model # 825

They have several brands to choose from. The tech services guy said that most of the ag coops purchase this one...

It has 1"NPT ports, so you would want to get adapters to garden hose if you use it like i do.

water meter cost $150..... saving your plants from overwatering, priceless.

btw... home depot carries a $20 water meter online. I tried it... battery lasted about 2 minutes then it died due to water getting in. real piece of shit.

this one is bulletproof.

at the risk of sounding foolish, do you have a recommendation regarding an adapter to a hose, as id like this to work smooth the first time and am not very familiar with this type of purchase. ty

I ordered brass fittings from Dultmeier as follows

1) 3/4" Female garden hose to 1" Male pipe thread adapter. part # EV FM7610T

1) Male garden hose thread to 3/4" Male pipe thread adapter part # EV BA776
1) Brass Bushing 1" male pipe thread x3/4" female pipe thread part # AB 110A-FE

You connect the latter 2 together to make a 1" male pipe thread to 3/4" male garden hose. that way you can connect a wand to it if you like.

If you really get that much air in your line.... but in my experience i usually run the water or food thru the hose until what comes out is cool.. usually takes a min or so because of all the black pipe and hose. by the time its cool, the air is usually purged from the system.

and to answer your question... I didn't know they made one with that feature. And that is not a feature that I ever thought i needed.

regarding the plumbing though, being you have had one, do u think they are the same. my limited knowledge in this field really is sad, but if u know, id sure like to. appreciate it.
