All very true IMO , i have watched cameron since he got back and he has'nt even mentioned what happened in the first place (or what was supposed to have happened) to start all this ,he never even gave it a second thought and just went into nanny mode as per usual .
The fake ass IPCC took for ever to even find out gun was'nt fired but it dont matter anymore it's already under the carpet now.

The govs PR/media machine then went into overdrive convincing us all that they have dealt with all this trouble really really well. The mug shots ,public shaming and of course throwing every court proceedure and rule out of the window so they can find every person guilty without trial and without any comeback ,it is fukin sickening.

The message i get from all this is " if you mess with our establishment or even challenge it this is what you are gonna get."

yeah i knew that the story about him shooting at police would turn out to be less than the truth. i suspect we will find out that the handgun wasnt actually in his possession as well. after all he was pulled over in a minicab - quite possible that the gun belonged to the cab driver or someone else

apparently what made the original riot kick off in tottenham was the police laying into a 16 year old girl who shouted some abuse at them or threw a stone at them during the original protest. there was footage on youtube of her getting battered to the ground.

what you've got to do is make a distinction between condoning what happened and looking for the reasons why it happened at this particular time and places. i dont condone what went on, but i can see that there are underlying reasons why it kicked off.

inequality, and a society where greed and exploitation generally wins.

society sets some very bad examples and has created a whole underclass of people who likely think they have little to lose - which can be a dangerous thing.

one of the best descriptions of the rioting that i heard was 'violent consumerism'.

once it all got going, it appeared that the looters were getting away with it - so lots of people found it hard not to take the oppoyrunity to help themselves.
