vStagger... You forgot to mention the rain, you have to tell everyone that all it does is rain, rain, rain. No one in their right mind even wants to come here, some cars even have moss growing on them from all the rain. Why do you think the U of O has a duck and Oregon State has a beaver, CAUSE IT RAINS, so stay home don't come here unless you don't mind moss between your toes. I used to live on the coast and we'ed get 14 inches of rain in two days. We love the wet, the Great North Wet is what you need to call it. Every one from sunny climes you won't like it here, even if Orygun has the best weed you'll ever toke. Stay home its raining.
Oh yeah, a couple shots of Salt Creek Falls. and the Metolious river. These were take in a short 15 minute break in the constant rain.

Lol yeah I moved to Oregon in May and I have seen some cars with moss growing on them. I love the weather here so far, and I'll take some rain over a Michigan winter any time. Great photos Stagger, now I have some new places to explore. Grow safe:tiphat:

Hey Ojo, I used to live in Lacey.

Me too my good brother... College St., about quarter mile from Indian Summer. Then I relocated to Tumwater, close to the Deschutes waterfalls.

I say Olympia since Oly, Tumwater and Lacey are at the same location... Three Popo departments to deal with plus bored Troopers.

Still... used to have the time of my life back then... LOL

Ever went to the Chehalis trail... all the way to Yelm and Tenino...?

Miss it dearly!

Hey Ojo, you've got a lot of pics of Smith Rock. Do you climb at all? That place has amazing rock climbing. Hey Stagger, Oregon is alright, hehe. I love it. Good work on the thread. By the way Stagger, that band you've got playing by your Mahayana test grow link in your sig looks like they might need to take a break from their playing, hehe.

Nope... I don't climb... I just liked to go there and walk along the river... starring at the cliff... finding stern native faces and animal figures on the surface.

Needless to say I always assisted to the pilgrimage properly medicated.

Well I saw this and I had to post. Stagger the pics look great. I would like to be the first Oregon born poster to welcome all of you to enjoy the the wonders I have growen up with. Like Stagger said I will NEVER live anywhere else in the states. I was in the navy for 6 years and travelled all over the world and I ended up right back here in Beautiful Oregon, no place like it. As for all the rain well I guess it does rain here but thats just Oregon sunshine right?

No, I lived up in Olympia, WA but moved overseas (way south of border) several years ago... just when crap started to hit the fan in the US economy.

I truly love all the Pacific Northwest area... from BC to northern Cali counties.

My plan is to return and be part of the MMJ struggle... I am a MMJ patient from WA as well as Army vet with 30% disability.

Living in the woods while taking care of the garden and fellow MMJ patients is my dream.

you are right down the street from me right up here in tacoma

Not to concerned about a little rain in the winter... ever experienced living in North Dakota for for 20 years?? I've been in -62 degree weather before, guess i'm not to concerned with some rain here and their. Been here for 5 years and it's been the easiest winters of my life!!! Peace and love! Stagger

Well I will say that it certainly beats No. Dak hands down. I spent a couple years in Fairbanks Ak and I don't like 50 and 60 below at all, we always went to the field to train in the winters, camping in an army tent at minus 58 really sucks.
With out a doubt Oregon's the best, I've lived in north Idaho, washington and Oregon is home.
I tell every one it rains all the time, keeps folks from moving here.

I tried to google it but it lead me into christian retirement homes. lol I would love to help clean up the woods around here... people destroy some of the most beautiful spots in OR and dont ever care. Every time I go fishing I see beer bottles and garbage everywere, in wich I pick up and throw in my pack immediately!! Peace and love! Stagger

I use to live there. Some of the nicest people you will ever meet. I moved there in 1990-2006. Moved back to the bay area moved back to Oregon 2009-2011. Now im back in the bay area. Lots of girls that are friendly there. Between the lady's at Intel and the Lady's at Blockbuster I had my hands full :) I miss it

Oregon is ridiculously beautiful. :good: Nice pix everyone! :)
I have the best memories of my short time there.

If it didn't rain so much, it would probably be like Florida; and every nut and their mother would move/retire there.

I often wonder, having moved out to Colorado 3-4 yrs ago, (a state that rivals Oregon aesthetically, imho), whether those who have always lived here, appreciate the spectacular surroundings, as much as a transplant, (or in my case, as a 're-plant'.) I sure hope so!! I'm left in complete awe every single day.

Enjoy it guys!! :smoke:
