Hey i took my cutts 6 days ago. My moms where kinda low in potassium. Some stems where a bit purple and woody. I gave them nutrients 2 weeks before taking cutts and they where fine but purple and woody stayed, cause only new grow came nice. They are not looking bad but im worried if they will root with a stiffer stem.... or they may take longer to root??... anyone know about this????

peace

Purple stems = vascular system working, they are feeding, they have roots.

Maybe a little bit longer but generally semi hardwood is the best material to use for cuttings, keep going, you should be alright.

Might be that mess your rooting in, looks like a LOT of algae. What are you rooting under? i see quite a few people using t5's, which is too strong.

Hey High country, 10% of cuttings are showing first signs. They are starting to pull some roots. I hope in two days they explode :tiphat:

Yeha dont trip on wood, work on 'your' technique. In fact, DesertSquirrel has a bomb thread on somehwere else about rooting fast & amazingly!

That "mess" is sphagnum moss, very effective, read the link below. It's in one of FreezerBoys stickys.......2x36W Grolux cfls.
