Second Chances

Welcome my friends. I have decided to share my struggles and successes growing my medicinal medicine.

This is my second chance at life as I have just recently stood up to cancer that is in remission now. :jump:
The non-hodgkins lymphoma attacked my bones which has left me with a severely damaged spine. Kinda like a bobble head if you will.
I need surgery but for reasons I would rather not mention, am totally scared to do :hide:

Now that you know a little about me this is what I have going on.
I have have tried to setup the simplest grow room that I could.
Just takes me a while to get things done.
I went with a recirculating drip system using hydroton which is working well once I figured out that the emitters clog.
The other thing that I feel still needs attention is the drip times but what I am using is working so I am going to leave it alone until I can get a better grip on what is going on with the grow.

I am using GH flora 3 part. I had started flowering using the Lucas formula but things went bad real fast.
Since I was unable to determine what specific problem I was having, my ladies just had nothing but problems.
I have since changed back to the 3-2-1 feeding but at 25% strength, have added silica to the feeding program along with some zone and hygrozyme.
I am not sure if all that is necessary but the Casey Jones is starting to show signs of better health. :chin:

Happy 4th of July :gday:

Well, trying to complete my electrical for my grow room.
I am adding a 50amp dedicated line for my lights.

I will try to complete the installation tomorrow if it is cool enough as it has been HOT.:toohot: Still waiting on mini split.
Need to figure out the best way to insulate the room.
Need to get outdoor drip lines installed.

Too many things to get done

paladin420, i am going to have to check that stuff out. Thanks for the tip.

I went ahead and finished the installation of the 50amp circuit breaker yesterday. I just have to complete the wiring for the light controller and that part should be complete.

Installing the 240v 50amp line was a lot easier than i had thought. :D Also, the replacement co2 gauges arrived yesterday to repair my piece of crap Green Air CO2 regulator.

And finally Casey Jones is gaining girth :dance013:

Today I am going to try and get the drip irrigation installed for my outdoor but the temps are so high and my back isnt co-operating today so we will have to see.

Finally got the outdoor drip system installed. That will save time to get other things done.
I will get some pics of the outdoor as it is not much to see right now.

Today is day 44 for my indoor grow which is turning out okay after all the mishaps that occurred early on when I started flowering.

Looks like the next round goes to these poor neglected Afghan Kush. I'll be sure to give them nothing but LOVE.

I may throw in some Bubba Kush and Kushberry if things turn out.

The round after this must be the Strawberry HP. Finally something strawberry back in the garden :yummy:

I wanna say thanks to you guys for stoppin by and making me feel good about things. I truly need your support! It makes things easier when things aren't so great :D

My outdoor, I just truly have no idea what I am doing. I think I am over watering. Just so hard to figure out everything. A little different from indoor.

My Casey Jones indoor is now showing some severe signs of something. I need to figure out what I am doing wrong. The buds look great but I know it can be better. I need to get a pic of what the leaves are showing but I am not sure if it will matter for this grow as I started to flush yesterday. But still need to learn for next round.

Thanks again everyone for your support!

grats on the remission, hope you can get over your fear of the operation, specially if you've tried the alternatives if any.

you gardening is looking really good, how awesome to have the electrical skills to put that 50 amp line in. looks really professional, can't wait to see more.

Thanks gaiusmarius, not sure if I can overcome my fear. I am not sure if it is a problem of fear or maybe more so with trusting doctors. Long story. Thanks for your support!!!

paulo thanks, I can feel the good vibes from here. All you guys are giving me the will to keep it going!!! Thanks so much for all the positivity. Really picks a fellow up when he is down. :D

Yesterday I tried to get the drip lines installed on my veg table. I ended up getting too medicated then ran out of stuff to complete the job and couldn't get to the store.

I am going to try and get the drip lines completed today if my body permits.

I also have some pics of some leaf damage that is occurring on Casey Jones and I was hoping for help on identifying what is going wrong. I am just learning about N-P-K and I think it is a K problem from what I have read but trying to figure stuff out my brain turns to scrambled eggs.
Here are the pics and your thoughts are much appreciated :D

Thanks for your support!!!

i can imagine how hard it is to trust someone with your life like that. specially in today's world where doctors mostly learn how to treat symptoms rather then heal or better yet prevent illness. when you research and find they are allowing the pharma concerns to recommend what meds they use and in which instance, it's only healthy to be a bit skeptical. but i have to say when it comes to physical injuries today's surgeons are quite astonishingly good. but yeah you have to weigh up the choices you have and if the risk of the op is worth the potential rewards.

anyway hope all goes well, what ever you do try and stay positive. the mind and hearts will to live and be well is greatly underestimated in conventional medicine, but invaluable to getting well. easier said then done though i know.

peace out

ps: to me it also looks like that Casey Jones was getting fed on the hot side.
