Sleepy Hollow Canyon-2011

Thanks for the input Mani...Next year, I'll have an underground cistern in place to hold the spring water. I dont think the spring will go completely dry during summer and if I'm right, a 600 gal underground tank will be highly righteous...Located above the Hollow, gravity will do the rest. I wanna bury it to keep things discreet and water temps cool.

If all works out, Rocky Mountain Spring Water wont have shit on the CC and his Sleepy Hollow Spring Water...LOL CC

No Prob... Dont forget... Tap the Rockies... Coors Light

Your garden is looking good CC.
You could probably get away with a two part filter system if only chlorine is your worry. The cost is a lot lower and you'll get clean water quicker.

Well alrighty then...Update time. Finally got caught up with another wave of life's daily doins. Ive finished tidying up the Sleepy Hollow so it's time for a current photo op. Glad to report all still goes well. I guess it's like a turtle crossing the road: So far so good...I got the first support rings(4 ft field fence) installed the day before the rains came (yesterday) so the grow-Gods continue to smile down on the Hollow. Without the supports, things could have gotten ugly...

With that, Sleepy Hollow is beginning to look like something important is goin on. This cowboy is riding high and shootin at the moon......

Remember back when?

Several months later, the vision becomes reality...Yea buddy, that's what I'm talkin bout...
picture.php

A lovely little Grandaddy Purple-ette...(To give an idea of plant height, the support fencing is 4ft tall...)

A Blue Dream- Over 5 feet and blasting off...

Ah Gee, it's a 4ft+ OG... She's stellar, stunning and a quick learner...

June 8th...

And now...

First it was just an idea...A couple of logs and maybe a plant or 2...

Now, well alrighty then...

A couple more Blue Dreams....They are real wild chics for sure....

A plump little darlin...

So, there ya have it little grow-buckaroos. It aint the biggest or the best but it keeps me off the mean streets in the 530. Thanks again all for the interest, input and well wishes...Bless you and yours and may the grow-Gods smile down on your plot of Gold...CC

Plants are looking really nice. I'm sure we have the same cuts of BD and OG, they look just alike. And you can really see how this weather has been helping them bush out. With these nice spring rains and cooler temps, and now this sun, be ready for another round of crazy growth.

Are you doing foliar feeding, CC?

Hey Mapper...yep yep...we be on are way to the promised land now...lol

I'm not one to fuss too much or go gettin all "heady" over my plants...As a rule, if theyre doing good, I dont f--- with em. If theyre ailing, then yea, put me down for some overtime! LOLo A lot of times, less is more, or so I believe...For the most part, the only foliar I might do is hit em with some VF11 now n then...Other than that, I mostly let the girls be girls...well mostly...CC

LOL Pearl...We wont worry bout him till October...But him and his pony "Punkin" will certainly be welcome at the Sleepy Hollow Smokefest around that same time as long as he scabbards his sword and refrains from riding down the trimmers...lol CC

So, fellow grow-brethren...Looking for info/tips on pruning vs the Au-natural approach. Ive read what I can find here at the Mag but have found nothing real definitive. In years past, Ive just let em go but am interested in bumping the flower sites...Thanks in advance compadres, everyone have a safe and sane 4th of July holiday and please...no bottle rockets over the Sleepy Hollow...lol...CC

Hey all...it's the tail end of the Holiday 4th and the working area of the Sleepy Hollow is lookin like a trashed out cartel grow area...and that just aint right...a fella should take pride in not only what he's doin but how he goes about gettin it done... So, I made a trip to my scrap pile, picked up the hammer, grabbed some nails and built me something to help keep things clean and organized. It's makin things a lot easier and gives me a good feeling of holdin up my end of the grow bargain...CC

I prune

I prune

Looking better by the day. I´ve just sent the Sun your way because i wanna see those babies flying high!
I prune, trim, top, supercrop, etc., most of my plants and i am happy with the results until now. Every different technique has a different response from strain to strain and some times even plants from the same strain differ on their response at the same exact tech.
At the moment i am very into the role of jasmonic acid & salicyliac acid on the plnats growth and fruit formation.

I know that there a few IC threads mentioning this one but i could not find them so early in the morning:)
Take care and have fun:ying:

Hey 215...Thanks thanks...Yea, the whole plan/idea was to have the plants "blend" and have the Hollow, at first glance, look as undisturbed as possible. That said, once flowering begins, it's all out of my hands...lol CC

Hey P...Thanks for the input and I'll take all the sun I can get! lol I agree, I would think plants and strains most likely react differently to pruning etc. I went ahead and did some shaping and pruning thinking: "What the hell, what's the worst that could happen?" I did some pretty serious whacking on the Blue Dreams cause they grow so fast and rangy and were gettin way out of balance (more top than side growth).

Thanks for the links. I"ll check em out. A man can never learn enough bout this stuff...CC

New additions to the Sleepy Hollow: Whiskey Barrel Row. I had some straggler plants left over and some whiskey barrels layin around so, what the hell... I discovered 30 gal Smarties fit nicely in the barrels...

picture.php

The PotPourri Planter in a 45 gal Smartie: Had some styro-cup clones left over (4) so I threw em all in a planter I made last year. A Blue Dream, a Romulan, a Querk and I think a C-99. Just somethin else to fool with I reckon...lol

Early mornin in the Hollow...A cup of coffee while sittin high above it all...I looked over at my cattle dog "Bud" and said: "Someday little canine-compadre buckaroo, this will all be yours..." He just looked at me n grinned...lol CC
