First micro grow. Built the box on a whim. Here goes...

6 CFLs -- ~190 watts. 1 13w Repti-Glo 10.0 bulb that will only stay on for 2-4 hours a day. 2 120mm fans -- ~110 CFM between the two.

Fox Farm Nutes -- trio, solubles, and Microbe Brew. Also using Humboldt County's Snow Storm Ultra, Cal-mag, and blackstrap molasses. In Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil mixed with perlite.

2 plants -- 1 from seed (left), 1 clone (right). The seed comes from a plant grown from bag seed. I'm thinking it's some kind of kush (been calling it Koran Kush for the hell of it) -- nice heavy couch-locked stone. The clone comes from a friend's plant, also a clone. He claimed it was White Rhino. Comparing the plant I trimmed the clone from, (was around day 40 of 12/12 last time I saw it) it looks a lot like Sour Diesel. Any ideas what these strains are?

Started on May 8th or so. Seed popped on the 10th. Did 18/6 until May 29th when I switched it over to 12/12. Temperature and humidity is pretty decent -- humidity is usually 30-60% and temperature is about 75-83 during the day and 69-75 at night.

I'm also LSTing the plants. That's why they're short and stalky in the pictures.

Any ideas or suggestions would be awesome. Thanks

Is there any way I can identify these strains? I know you can't really just go by pictures, but I'd really like to get an idea about what they are.

A while ago, a friend started his first grow. Just 2 bag seeds that happened to both be female. When he harvested, we found 4-5 seeds. Started the next grow with a few of those seeds and some clones from the original plants. All seeds popped and were all female. So we had 7 plants--3 from seed, 4 from clones. We did a lot of things wrong and didn't really have an ideal setup (almost no nutes, not enough light, was 90-95 F almost always, humidity was in the 80s, shitty air flow, etc, etc) and only had a little more than 2 ounces after harvest. Not too great when there's 7 plants. But I definitely learned a lot. And the bud was still potent. So I know it's at least a decent strain...

Was a smooth smoke that didn't really have much flavor. Reeked of blueberries while it was flowering. Smelled pretty dank after curing too. Definitely on the indica side--really stoney. Aside from pictures, that's about the best I can describe it.

The other strain came from a clone of a friend's friend's plant. He claimed it was White Rhino but the kid isn't really reliable so I'm not sure if I believe him. Doesn't really look like it to me. Haven't had the chance to smoke his crop yet, but when you rub the plant your fingers smell like lemon Pinesol. Looking forward to harvesting this one.

Any ideas? Questions?

Thanks, Jellyfish. I don't want to say there was zero flavor--just didn't have much more than the 'weed' flavor. Haha. Kinda earthy and really smooth. That's about all I can remember of it. We did have to harvest a week or so earlier than planned. Could that have anything to do with it?

I'll read through the thread you posted. Looks great. Thanks again!

Maybe. How long a time did you let them flower? I wouldn't think a week would make that much difference.
How long did you cure your buds?

They flowered for 8-9 weeks, but were growing pretty slow. Buds weren't that big and only a few trichomes were just starting to amber up. Would have liked to flower longer but things got sketchy and we had to cut early. Dried for 5 or 6 days then kept my share in a mason jar until I ran out. Started to smell stronger after about a week in the jar. Was the only bud I had at the time so I was in and out of the jar constantly. Lasted me about 3 weeks. The fresher the bud was, the more potent it was--bud from day 1 in the jar was much stronger than bud from the last bit of the jar. Not sure if it was going bad or that I built up a tolerance because that's all I was smoking...

Like I said... We did a lot of things wrong, but I learned a lot. And I'm still learning. I spend most of my free time reading and learning. I haven't been this passionate about something in a while. It's nice and I'm really enjoying learning something new. So any help is much appreciated--especially here at ICMag. Hoping this time around will be better. Even if it's in a CFL micro cab...

Thanks, man. Really looking forward to harvest!

Well according to FoxFarm's feeding schedule, I need to 'SledgeHammer flush' soon. Didn't buy their 'SledgeHammer' so I'm looking for a way to go without it. Did some reading up on flushing but only found material about pre-harvest flushing. Then I looked around for info on leeching but couldn't really find any specifics. FoxFarm suggests using twice the volume of a typical feeding. I feed the girls every other day with about 800-900 mL. Nutes every other watering. The seed's pot is 3 gallons, the clone's is ~2 gallons.

How exactly should I go about this? Haha. How much water should I use? pH of the water? Should I just use R/O water? Should I add molasses to help leech salts? Or should I just not worry about it at all?
