What do you flush with?

about 10days before harvest most of us flush our plants with plain water. My question is; does anyone add anything to their water?

I've heard of people using a PK boost in their water for those last days. I've also been wondering about using just a sweetener and water.

Does anyone add anything to their system for finishing?

I use Drip Clean by House and Garden. Never saw anything like it really.. Tried the 3 day flush.. worked fine,happy patients.

PK boost in the last days? That sound's stupid, cause I have not seen an organic PK booster out there on the market. It just means that you are loading your bud with chemicals making the worst possible thing you could do. plain stupid.

As for me I would never really use anything but: Sucanat/molasses/ACT/AACT/ WATER..

Ask me:
Grown organically - no more than 5 days flush needed.
Grown chemically - flush it for 2 weeks atleast with pure water. Add some sucanat if you want to or molasses if you do soil/coco/soiless. Never chemicals.


Water though is your best choice most of the time.

I agree no p-k boost in flush (final 2 weeks) thats more for weeks 4-6 (on a 8-9 week strain of course) of flower some molasses would be ok but i dont even ph the water during the flush as you are making the plant leach itself of the stored up nutrients so ph'ng water at this time is pointless to me, i use flora kleen for the first res of clear water then the next just plain water.

God I wish my local shop could get drip clean. Everyone that's tried it seems to rave about it. Shipping costs as much as the bottle itself but I guess I just have to man up.

Do not use PK during flush

This method gives great results - Hydro

Flush for 3 days with just molasses then a further 5 days with Advanced Nutrients Final Phase then another 2 days plain water..
Change the res daily..
Giving a 10 day Flush in total

Yes you should. On the plu$ side a little goes a long way. It is freaky scary what comes back to the res. It is what made me switch to House & Garden completely (well? ya kno)

I use plain water with some Ghe's Subculture & AHH's Final Flush. With my current grow im gonna add enzymes+ to the mix. Any of these doesn't contain any nutrients so no bad taste here. I like to squeeze and maximize all the sugars and flavours for the last days. Just 1-2 last days i use plain water to rinse my res and i go with the same liquids all the way in my grow.

clearing/rinsing type solutions/products sold at hydro stores r magnesium sulphate concentrates...save a pile and buy epson salts/magnesium sulphate from a big box or farm/feed store

0-4 ppm Holy water, nothing else is needed except the right amount of time, 10-14 days in hydro.

My regular flushing routine is as follows:

First 2 days: Scrub reservoir sides with brillo pad, just to knock off all the build up and shit. Fill res with nothing but water by running it through the medium with the goal of flushing much of the deposits down into the res. Change out for another res full of fresh water after 24 hours.

Middle portion (6-10 days): Run a clearex solution. Fill res through medium, again to flush down any sediments or deposits.

End (2-3 days): Nothing but pH'd water.
