Chaco, I still have a dehumy in the tent because its necessary but my favorite thing about the bare bulb is how all the heat goes directly up and sucked out immediately from the exhaust, even when your blowing the air cooled hoods heat is still being reflected down on the plants, with the vert it just goes straight up away from the plants. Also I was going to add a 400hps to hang low in the tent to help it the bottom buds but I decided to just adjust the bulbs every other day, hang 1 high and one low, then vice versa, than I hang them even, repeating this process every other day has help all the buds fill out evenly. In the future I picture my grow room having not only vert but horizontal lighting as well . Yeah the coco jump was easy for me years ago, I draw it up to dumb luck that I didn't have any issues transitioning from soil to coco. In fact it was more like "shit why haven't I been using coco"

I'm thinking of getting a 60" cool tube for my two 600wers.
I don't wanna get burnt in my 48" x 48" tent.
If my wife ever hits the lottery, it'll be LED side panels. :D

Send that guy over to my place, he can hold my 430w lantern.:) HL that 60" cooltube would be awesome, I think I've seen them somewhere, my wife told me "no more lampshades"....Otto, I have a hard time transplanting soil cups into coco.I had a few CC's in soil and the outdoor guy didn't want all the plants so I kept a few and transplanted the 16oz soil cups into coco and a few went well while a few went south.I've done the same thing once before with similar results.I'm lucky to have 4, 600's horizontal with the 1600W vertical, it's a damn super nova!

Hahaha love the light saber dude!

2 x 600 in a 4x4? Damn I'm slacking, I have a 400 right now in the same (DR120 pro or II or whatever the new one is).

I need to ramp things up but shipping on a 600 watter is pretty high not to mention I'd have to make the jump from 4 to 6 inch ventilation and filter at the same time and lets not forget a nice hood. Damn this is expensive har har.

On top of that I have a vacancy in ye ole' house of love over here, my 3BR unit crew split middle of last month welp. I hate painting. Did I mention I hate painting?

Keep it green

HL, that 60'' cool tube would be perfect for my 5x5 tent, also you think those led lights are the real deal, I know not to knock something before trying it but I am skeptical of them.

Cravenmore, only you...

Chaco, that is weird, I have gotten plants from friends that use soil and promix and I've never had an issue with transplanting, come to think of it I don't even remember losing a plant from transplanting soil/promix into coco. I don't really know what to say that could help you, maybe a picture next time it happens may help.

Well, after seeing Chaco's set up, and how his plants react to it, I gotta take a shot!

May have to just get another 24" tube and hook 'em together, those 60"ers are big $. You can slide the sockets anywhere along the length which is nice...:chin:

There's a duel socket 36"er on Ebay that looks OK for the $.
I'll figure it out.

I've got a couple of cheap LED's, one's way cheap, I use for cuts & seedlings, the other a UFO type, pretty nice & versatile. I used it for breeding purposes in a cardboard wardrobe, no heat issues @ all.
I bought them to help w/ my overflow of things this winter, and they both performed well.
I think the technology will get better and eventually the costs will go down. When my 250w I use for vegging goes, I'll replace it w/ a good LED panel. I know it's the future for me. Love to have a couple of the Kessel spots for on top of plants w/ the vertical HID's.
:D

I'll have to look into that big cooltube, I didn't know you could adjust the sockets, that sounds fun.I finally picked up a nasty burn from backing my ear into a hot bulb, I had goggles on but no hat, in a rush again.........The Blue Satelite, I've never heard anything but great reviews on that one...the capt Jacks will burn young cuts and plants even under a flourescent and they do not like being dunked in it, I had a real bad experience last summer dunking in capt Jacks but spraying I've had great success.Floramite is totally dunkable for anything I think, as long as it can fit. Between the Capt jack, Floramite, eagle 20, azamax and a nice silicone supp my bug population is near zero, for now.I hit the soil gnats right after I water with a capt Jack spray when they're jumping around....Lots of work to do, I need a genius idea, fast!:)

Looking killer everyone, thanks for all the eye candy. Hope you all are having a good weekend. It's going to be a lazy sunday for me, not much of anything to do, which I guess is nice every once in a while. Listening to some new riders of the purple sage, "higher" is my jam atm (http://www.archive.org/details/nrps2011-05-28.km184.flac16)... Just ran a tube of mtg diesel for kicks, still purging but the results seem to be nice. Experimented with a very low heat purge and letting it sit out in the sun until later on today... hoping for something more along the lines of shards as opposed to all this budder I've been smoking. I've probably said this before but I couldn't be happier with the mtg diesel (thanks again homie :tiphat:), she's earned her place in my garden w/o a doubt. This next run will be the same as the last, a couple 2k vert rooms - one full of MTG and the other full of casey :joint:

Sounds like you've got quite the arsenal there chaco, it's definitely nice having the right tools for the job. If you really want to wipe out those soil gnats try out some merit75, nothing wrong with some overkill if it doesn't mess with the plants! I believe the main ingredient is imidacloprid which is a nicotine based poison. It'll kill anything in the rootzone with no mercy and won't hurt the ladies a bit, and best part is it's systemic so the population will most likely be wiped out with a single application. A couple months back I had a scare with root aphids, I know from past experience how serious of a problem they can be... much moreso than knats to say the least... Years ago I got them from trading and at the time didn't know the signs to look for, resulting in my grow being virtually destroyed, quite the learning experience. This time I went with a couple applications of the merit and they're gone (although truthfully I haven't seen ANYTHING since the first time using merit), something I never thought I'd see so easily. It's truly the "eagle20" of rootzone infestations.

Well the oil seems to be going nicely, not quite shatter but hard to complain... Seems to me that it needs a bit more time. From what I've read and heard to get the translucent shatter it's often necessary to pop the oil in the freezer for a tight bit, seems to me that doing such wouldn't make for the best purge, but I'm far from an expert. Any tips? HL I've seen you post up some great looking oil shots before. I'd like to get the shatter method down as I have A LOT of material to run :)

In the mean time I've got some mean smoking OG/pure kush and heady beer to enjoy. I've been smoking through this herb far to quick, new favorite!!

I ran around all day trying to figure out what to do with my chem mom, finally I transplanted her and came up with a plan to flower her out....so it's going to be Ultimate Skunk 1 and Ultimate Skunk 2 together, no mistakes this time that whole mess is ironed out.:)This plant is #2 aka chem D, I hope! I know the #2's I have in flower @ 20 days look exactly like Zens when I saw his @20 days, she stretches taller than the Sister(#1), I have a pic of the plants 20 days in too...

I just traded my best 2 oz of Nevs/chemdd for 2oz of chem D.The stuff looks and smells fantastic, just a hair darker than the sister in the smell zone but not as garlicy as the sister. The deep dark side is what I could smell mixed with strawberries in the SCreme n' Dawg, havn't smoked it yet, I've been working since 3am and after a bit of a nap, I'll smoke a nice joint....
