Actually i did do this few years back by accident. It made all the plants pre-flower and i quickly got rid of the males which was very good! Didnt really take note of any extra growth etc but they were all nice plants for sure :good:

Wouldnt have been so good last season as it was so bloody cold!

Hoping to have a nice greenhouse up soon which will make this possible even if it is a bit on the cool side.

So plants out end of august i reckon!

id prob throw em out at the end of sep start of oct for best results.. but that being said Im in Vic so you might need to throw em out according to your state :) try august and see what happens.. its all fun seeing the different results.. well it is to me LOL

Shroomy, I usually have seedlings on the go early. here they begin to flower in september but I must remove the heads by the second week in october which is when reveg begins, or the heads grow out and are lost.
thanks for what you say but I 'm still not sure I 'm understanding. I 'll think on it some more ... thanks again.

wilbur anything you are unclear of let me know mate and im happy to go through it with you :)

It can depend a bit on the variety that your going to do it with, some skunk plants I have done this to on the past just couldn't get their shit together in time and were a massive fail they just started to reveg to late and miss their opportunity to finish in time! Gday shroomy

hi mate
id start them under lights in july put them out in august
then you get a harvest at the end of september early october
and leave all the popcorn buds to grow out
if they die you still get some smoke and/or you could take flowered clones and grow em out under light if it gets too cold
:tiphat:

In my experience monster cropping is done by having a plant under a light cycle of say 18/6 and then putting it outside, once mature, into a light cycle over 12 hours but under the initial 18, say 14/10.
The plant wants to flower because it thinks the days are getting shorter, which only naturally happens with the onset of winter, but can't because there is still not 12 hours darkness.
I'd describe it as preflowering/flowering stretch, plants tend to grow in all directions.
my first attempt:

Ok so here are some pics 7 days later...

As you can see the plant has grown a little bit since the last photos and has only just started to reveg its self... have given her a some worm wee from my worm bins and that's all she is getting atm.. will give her some proper veg nutes once she asks for em which i dought will be any time soon as she was re-potted in to some nice organic soil :)

hope you guys are enjoying this experiment
