what worked for me was bayer 2in1 rose granules. water once and thats it. none of the imid products worked for me. this is in coco and soil. if u use it sprinkle it lightly, it has npk also.

Um The Rose granules 2-in-1 is an Imidacloprid systemic.
I think it's around .22% concentration.
That's quite strong!
Definitely not meant for edibles, (or smokeables).

I'd venture a guess that it's meant for outdoor use as well, so sprinkle very lightly for container growing and only at very early veg.
Keep in mind it's a time release thing!

Not fo' nuttin' but it looks like too much Nitrogen for flowering plants anyway.

weezard whatever your talkin about isnt the same. mine has no imid, and it has an npk suitable for flowering. you might be talkin about the tree and shrub granules. and this only lasts 6 weeks, perfect.

Read, read, read, and occasionally google.

Quite the contrary!
I know exactly what I'm talking about.
Bayer 2-in-1 Rose granules contain .22 % imidacloprid and a 6-9-6 time release fertilizer.
Ask Bayer:
http://www.bayeradvanced.com/rose-flower-care/products/2-in-1-systemic-rose-flower-care/sizes

Or Krunchbubble.
(Imidacloprid is the chemical name for Merit insecticide ®.) :)

Always read the entire label.
Your health is at stake.

Additionally,

Additionally,

Well, the actual chemical name is:
1-[(6-Chloro-3-pyridinyl)
methyl]-N-nitro-2-imidazolidinimine.

So there! :D

If you can't get the Merit... Bayer Complete worked great for me... and liked that better than the other options as the Complete is w/o any ferts.

Imid works... esp if you're talking about saving moms... no brainer.

Well, I don't of course.
I can only go by what you wrote.
And I quote;

"what worked for me was bayer 2in1 rose granules" -cyat

And Bayer 2-in-1 rose granules contain the ingredients that I cited. Right from the horses mouth.
That's why it works:)

No worries, just post a shot of the back label and show us what's in it and who makes it, yah?

I dont feel like I need to prove to u, so take it how u want, just dont tell me what I have cuz u are wrong.what u are talkin about is different get over it.

Relax.
Nobody is attacking you
, personally.
I'm just questioning what you wrote and prompting you to make your own corrections.:)

Actually, yes!
And so did Krunch.
And, if you can tell us what you really used, so will you.:thank you:

I'm also a happy user.
Imid is the only treatment that adressed my Root aphid infestation.
Alas it's only usable in early veg.
I had to tear down the bloomery, sterilize everything, and start over.

You are correct in stating that I do not have all the answers. That's exactly why I have to use all the tools available to me.

Google is a good start, but my best source is ICMag and some of the best growers on the planet willing to share their actual experience and wisdom.

In short, I appreciate your effort. :tiphat:

But I do observe that some pre-googling on your part could have saved both of us a lot of typing.

A friendly Aloha,

will this shit work on fungas gnat larvae as well?

Yes... you will see the larvae start to have gut rot & they will flush out the bottom of the pots/medium within a day or two... slowly dieing off over the week.

Watched it myself.

Probably. But it's like taking a grenade to a pillow fight.

Howzit, Rube?:tiphat:

Fungus gnats are a snap.
Dryer sheets stop them cold!
Jus' lay one on the soil surface.
Gnats, whitefly, n thrips are gone!
Mosquitos too!
Basically, any insects that have scent receptors to detect ethylene, CO2, pheremones, etc.

If it has a fuzzy antenna it will run from a dryer sheet.
Even outdoors in the tropics.:)

That, and they are safe in flower, right up to harvest.
The Kirkland brand has the least perfume.
Bounce is pretty stinky.
But they both work a treat.

I doubt that they would help with an established herd of root aphids, but they will deter the winged adult from starting a new herd.

No take my word for it folks.
Jus' try it, they are cheap and ubiquitous.

Aloha, Y'all

This is intended for use on fruits and vegetables, along with Bayer Citrus.
Imid is the same stuff they give to dogs to rid them of fleas. They take it internally with no ill effects. It has been in use for 35 years.
On the label insert they list time before harvest that this can be used. Ranges from 7-21 days, depending on the crop.
