The Demons Double Blockbuster 2000 watt Grow!!

Hey People,

Well after some aches and pains I have finally completed my ideal flowering room :) I did like my twin magnum xxxl room but having lights side by side and routing the duct was chaos and I had no room to move, but I knew I needed 2000 watts to acheive maximum yeild :)

I have now set up 2 blockbuster 1000 watt air cooled shades inline which means shorter duct lengths and better extraction through the shades.

I have also made the room out of soundbloc plaster board then used green glue then another sheet of soundbloc 12.5mm, if anybody on here knows about plasterboard you will know this stuff weighs a ton, but used with green glue has great sound proofing qualities :) But due to the weight the door into the room had to be made smaller, so its only 4' high by 3' wide. I will be disguising it all as a walled in room so nobody will ever know it was there :)

Having a smaller door though means that its next to impossible to take decent pics as the canopy is higher than the top of the door as I have a raised floor in the room, but here are some pics to the best of my ability so far and specs as follows:

Strains:

Chem Vally Kush, Noname, Oltimes bx, Blues, Jack Flash, God Bud, Skywalker, C99 and Psychosis.

Plant stage picture taken:

Week 5 of flowering.

Growing Medium and Pot Size:

Coco Professional plus
19 x 3.5 litre square pots.

Nutrients and Additives:

GHE 3 part nutes.(10mm per 10 litres of each)
Canadian Xpress Superior Potash
Canadian Xpress Headmasta.
Canadian Xpress Root-regen.
Fed to plants via two topspin 12 site dripper systems.
Nutrient mix kept in a compact 110 litre thermally insulated water butt with temps kept at 21 degrees celcius.(tri-meter e.c, ph and temperature monitor)
PH kept at 6.0
EC between 1.8 and 1.9

Lighting:

2 x Blockbuster Air cooled shades 1000 watt bulb in each.
80 lumens per square foot.

Environment:

1 x 200mm Etaline fan (from outside air feed through lights and outside. (Can be left running with co2 without extracting any air from the room)
1 x 200mm Etaline fan 200mm Rhino filter. (can be turned on and off on a timer with co2)
Both 200mm fans extract hot air into the outer room using silencers mounted on the grow room roof to deaden wooshing sound.
1 x 150mm RVK L1 intake (on 24 hours)
1x 125mm TD Silent fan with 125mm Rhino carbon filter (on 24 hours )
SMSCOM Twin fan speed controller for carbon filter and intake.(sensor at canopy level)
Tower fan mounted on its side on adjustable hangers blowing air across top of canopy beneath shades.
All the ducting in my room is "combi duct" 150 / 200mm as its foil lined and rubberized outer absolutely leak proof and very flexible, cannot recommend highly enough, but sold on ebay only as have searched all over for it? seller is called ventilationcentre, and its about £16 IIRC? 6 meter lengths 150mm. Ps do not work for are are employed etc or even on commission from the above seller I just want to help fellow growers :) and have had a few pm's asking where you get it :)

Temps and Humidity:

25 degrees celcius lights on.
20 degrees celcius lights off.
Humidity 40% RH
Data logger set to monitor humidity, due point and temps every minute for 7 days then formatted on a graph on pc.

Room Size and spec:

5'2" x 5'2" x 2 meters high 100% sealed room with negative pressure.(sealed for when I start using co2)
Thermal bubble wrap lined walls and floor with diamond mylar over walls.
5'2" by 41" wide custom gel coated fibreglass lined sink with drainage to outside.
Accustic sound proofed ceiling and front walls using double soundbloc p/board 12.5mm with green glue in between.

Thanks for looking :tiphat::thank you:

Really nice set up like the sound proofing idea. Been thinking of doing something similar with Jablite.

Great bit of construction!

Makes me think of those grows where they bury a school bus underground, and have some guy living down there for 3 months at a time.

Hey Marathanman :) Cheers for the kind words :) Yeah where I use to work sold Jablite I know it has great insulation qualities as its basically sheet polystyrene but dont know how it will be for soundproofing?? I have tried everything including the soundproof tiles etc but nothing has beaten this soundbloc and green glue sandwich for sound proofing. The only downside is once its sandwiched it weighs a fooking ton and the green glue is quite expensive lol, But if I ever wanted to veg in this room and run everything over night I know I will not be kept awake by the fans :) so for me it was worth the extra spending :) . If you do go with the Jablite let me know how it go's.:ying::ying:

When i was younger the police found a Shipping container buried underground with diesel generators ruinning the power.

If i start digging now maybe i could have somthing similar in my garden?? could tell the mrs i'm installing a nuclear bunker.. which would be believable as i'm a parraniod type.. i've got a family supply of iodine tablets incase we have a fukushima style meltdown .

Great stuff the pea netting for a scrog, only costs £1, is a bit tricky to uravel though. Was thinking of using jablite to make an acoustic box for the extractor fan.
How do you find the Headmasta Speedemon had mixed reports about it. Using the Regeneroot at the moment and have been convinced to use their Potash also.

Thanks for the kind words above :)
The pea netting is absolute shite but gets me out of a sticky situation in so far as these strains are going to get big ass colas and I spent ages tieing them all up when they get top heavy.
Marathanman: Hi mate I have used the headmasta for years now and would never stop, I believe that it helps the overall flavour of the bud as well as I noticed a nicer yeild and heavier budding formation, very noticeable difference from before I used it.

I forgot how nice it was to have 2000 watts in this space :) :ying:
I still have problems taking photo's with my new 4' stealth door lol.
