Thanks Dope. So to get rid of the taste from the next lot I make I want to use high heat. Evap off the butane with boiling water and then whip the snot out of it.

no no think of flavor as delicate molecules that will evaporate if too hot
try not breaking up your starting materials and purging with as low of heat as you can while still purging butane (bubble forming), hottest off the tap works for me, i find boiling water to darken and take away from the flavor of most strains

If you will redissolve that BHO in hot ethanol and let it sit in the freezer overnight before filtering and evaporating off the alcohol, you would amazed at how smooth and tasty it is without some of the extraneous stuff.
Did room temp Everclear, then froze, filtered.
SOP from now on.
Took out about 10% by weight in waxes.
And looks like this..........

Then after a few days at 78 deg, in wax paper, turned into the golden 'waxy' turds I know and love.

Would isopropyl alcohol work as well?
So I would dissolve it, freeze it overnight. Then apply mild heat the next day. Im guessing a day or two to evap that off?
Thanks. Hopefully knowing how to remove crap taste from BHO will be useful for others as well.
Still unable to find a glass or stainless steel tube locally. Would chrome tubing work for a purging device?
Never tried freezing and filtering with ISO, but it works with Ethanol and Methanol, so I don't know why not.
Most chrome tubing isn't very heavily coated on the inside, if at all.
A copper tube will work, but you have to keep it clean of oxide.
You might look for guerilla sources of stainless tubing, like a stainless grab rail for bath tubs.
You might also share a 20' length of 1" Schedule 10 stainless pipe from your local plumbing supply store, with friends. Last time I checked on 1 1/2" 304ss Schedule 10 from or local branch of Paramount Plumbing Supply, it was only about $6.20 a foot.

Isn't it a pain to get the wax from those little vials? I keep mine in a hand blown glass dish.if I don't use that I use parchment paper or if I have over a oz it goes in a masson jar
