Oghee I agree with you on the golf ball nugs with the SR71PK, but if Humble did have a GDP then it would have has bigger buds.....The shots he showed us the buds are not very chunky and they arent huge colas.....We all know humble is probably one of the best if not the best grower in our SD thread, and I know that if he had GDP it would be massive or at least long full colas.

Major note-The GDP has fan leaves that stick close to the stalk, SR71KP I know for a fact always has overly stretched out fan leaves, just like Humbles. It's a major characteristic of SR71KP no matter where shes grown.

I didnt want to have to go get my external hard drive yesterday, but since theres some hatin.....Here is SR71PK, first I'll show how different she can be when properly flushed and not:

-----so here we go...this is my purple story:
met a dude who opened one of first dispensaries in dago(met him thru sophisto-one of the og sdf dudes...miss him)...dude would go to humbolt to p u cuts....he had a tray w 11 cuts labeled GDP....10 big strong beauties and one odd smaller cut....he gave me this one...just called it gdp....later, saw dudes grow, he is perhaps the worst grower i had ever seen(ph'd his water then added nutes as an example)...but he was getting these gigantic beautiful purple colas(now i believe that cut to be kens gdp)....kind of assumed it was maybe purple erkle(the odd cut i was gifted)...after a bit...a breeder here at icmag and i started talking and he swore up and down it was a gdp cut...well, he ended up getting it...and came back w the royal tag...now, i had heard of the royal cut, but never paid attention...and for ease, we on sdf just started calling it the royal cut, it wasnt a "ours is better then yours" thing...matter a fact, most of us who had access to it, dropped it in search of the better yielding phenos or purples...i personally gave that cut to APE about 5-6 times...and well, love bro to death, but we all know there were....er...plenty of mixups w his labeling system! ha...
---now, the sr71 cut cali is talking about was sooooooooo close to this particular royal it was ridiculous! the primary diff, imo, was sr71 had a lil sweeter, grapier almost taste...w berry, the royal cut was much more.....oaky....like a wine barrel thats been drained but still has the aroma of wine in it....the royal cut we had was a bit more potent, and very much like bubba in that she just didnt like getting big...actually got better harvests in organic....another trait she had, which maybe someone will note somewhere, is when pollinated, that cut would literally burst w seeds...i remember weighing a seeded bud that was like 8-9 grams, the material left over after seeding was less then a gram....just purple husk over seeds...ridicolous!
---i hope one of us somewhere still has it...she is nice for sure....i can say that IMO, her main use, for me, would be breeding....if you want potent purple...grab that fucking purple joy cut spicoli/smoketrees and stoney joe released....its a great cut and we should not wait til its gone to realize how good it is(like madness)

---this is actually kinda a crappy picture, but this is gdpskunk....my first project ever....actually prefer it to the royal...i know...that sounds biased...but ask ohgee!...spicoli called it gdpcream(which sounds kinda gross now that i see it typed out! ha)...but this pheno tasted EXACTLY like the mama...with something added...much like cali's green ice-green crack plus something else- and the purpleskunk yield was easily two-three times as much

waddup brother...ya...thats the breeder i was refering too...he got me the cut back after i got a couple mislabeled from ape...i never got to find out 100 percent that it was same cut...i seeded it the one time i ran it after, and she bulges so freakin much i couldnt tell from looking at it, but when deseeded the smell was there...im at about 99 percent it was same....those seeds, after smoking your x18 last year, have me very curious,,,,lemon-oakbarrel delish!

Cherry Hemingway is partially based on Rezdog's Firecracker and some Gasalia Bhutan (?), pure Bhutan land race, plus something else thrown into the mix I think..?

Since we've been talkin about Purples
Purple Jade pheno B

To be honest, the worthyness of my Alien Dog x Various Purples experiment is still up in the air. I'd say the Purple Jade ( Purple Joy x AD-E ) is the strongest. As I described to another SDF buddy, it litterally left me searching for the "volume" key on a keyboard I've had over a year for about 10 secs. Mentally and physically disorienting for sure.

The dissapointment is primarily due to taste...or lack of. It isn't bad but nothing special either. I think I took it too long (77+ days ), probably didnt get the flush I'd like...I dont know...

I kept babies of the 3 phenos I did this time around and have plenty more seeds so hopefully i'll find my "Pheno #7" down the road.

Just for comparission, I consider the Purple Jade mostly my night time smoke and choose to smoke well grown but less intense Sour Dub during the day

Dude you hit it on the head there. Renaming strains for whatever reason is doing a disservice to the community.. Behind every rename there is a shady deal or a backstab you can bet on it.
