For me what tools I bring varies with whatever gardening task is at hand. Are you there to plant seedlings, tend your plants, or harvest? That determines what I take with me...

You might want to check out this thread https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=151465 its almost the same thread you started, except without the hot porno link!

Good luck

Oh.. it wasn't a family members computer. Don't worry. Not sure why it was on that particular actress. I haven't seen her work in a while (lol). Keep the suggestions coming.

I haven't planted yet for the year but I plan to keep it simple. I would like to be able to jet in an instant and stand a chance at the foot race it would be, if that situation ever played out. I am a distance runner through and through.

I will be in all matt black with my running shoes on
my shorty shovel that is built like a fucking tank that will be getting a matt black spray
flat green fencing I have found. It will be prerolled how I want it before I head out
black running backpack with the clones and jug of water
and some good 'ol boy instincts

Two three gallon water cooler jugs filled with premixed dry nutrients and perlite. Tied and hung on each end of shovel. Buck knife with serrated blade. Back pack with two custom boxes hold 18 beer cups each. As much beer as I can pack into the side pouches. I pull my plants instead of cutting them. Then prep the holes when I harvest with fall leaves and stuff. Some fresh perlite, seabird guano, bonemeal and ground kelp in the spring and I am ready. Getting to old to dig new holes. Drink a few beers on site. Urinate in now empty water jugs fill with water. Douse plants and return in July with more beer and Jamaican Guano.

Big backpack to hold the following:
Good footwear (boots!), raingear as needed, gloves.
Food and drinkable water to feed the machine.
Maps and compass. Cell Phone with battery out!
Small maddock and buck knife for clearing and digging.

Burnt and Camo'd steel and plastic 1/4" mesh 4' tall 20' long and zip strips
- Makes 3 homemade swamp tubes per roll.
- Use local materials: sticks, bark, rocks and dirt to stabilize and protect tubes.
Fishing line, mothballs and Irish Spring and Insecticide soap for animal control.
Selection of powdered fert and bloom nutes as required.
Two collapsible 2L water bags (the good ones) for watering.
- All the above stays on-site but clean up each trip out and in the fall. Leave no trace.
- I plan to start gathering all my soil and making compost next fall to save trips.

1 bag per Moisture Mix per hole over many walk-ins.
- From car, stash all mix near your trail head and carry in more every trip.

I used this small (kinda half size) pickaxe last year. It took of the top layer of turf/grass/weeds easily and dug my holes easily too. Best tool i ever used for 1 1/2' holes. Massive holes might demand something a bit more substantial though ...
