Thanks guys. Yep Serious this branch is drying, the rest of the plant is still growing away :) If there is a half o per branch ill get enough from this 1 plant to last me 2 months, haha.

I'll never know myself what it weighs. Doesnt really matter since it's staying with me till it's smoked. I'm growing enough to keep myself from having to buy now so everything is all good. If I get far enough ahead I'll take a few months break :) I'm going to stick a few clones out in a few more weeks to get an outdoor crop in hopefully, and take the winter off growing.

He stated above like three times he wants to find the optimal smoke for him. By testing it at 7-10 weeks man

Thank you for that insightful wisdom, Serious.... but I'm completely aware of what he wants to find, as I've read the thread........ man.

I also grew ICE for about 2 years or so...

A friend and I test harvested it from 7 weeks, all the way up to 12 weeks, actually....

In my experience.... it can be taken as early as 8 weeks, but I personally enjoyed it at 9... or mostly cloudy with a handful of amber trichs. My buddy preferred it at 77 days and mostly amber.

Grown in organic soil and dwc buckets....

We both enjoyed it for it's really nice high, vigorous growth, structure, yeild and it cloned like a dream.... I'm pretty sure that I could have cloned her in some used motor oil.

She likes to eat, as well...

The smell however, was a completely different story.... It reminded me of dirty, moldy, wet socks and a nasty, whore's crotch.

The seed plant stench was ridiculous.... and the clones had the same smell, just not as loud and in your face.

She'll yield for him in the dirt, once he dials her in..... and he will probably get close to 6 oz in soil in a 5 gallon bucket..... We did.

If he switches those buckets over to DWC.... I'm almost positive he can get 6 oz per plant.... We did.

But that is assuming the environment in his room is solid... the RH needs to stay in check when flowering. Less than 50% is good...

Which ever method he decides to use, multiple topping and LST will serve him well. She liked to be tied down.... and did very well in a scrog set up.

She was very popular with the locals and was nearly a perfect plant for me.... definately ticked all the boxes, except for the smell.

I've been around here a few minutes, bro.... and I don't spew needless bullshit about things that I don't understand. Ya dig?

I have some experience with this particular plant, and I'm just trying to pay it forward, in case DaPurps can use the info.

By the way......

WELCOME TO ICMAG

Thanks for the insight :) Everything you said is spot on with this plant of mine. The smell in the room is definately of musk or old laundry or something like that. I think I will get 6 zips from her which is not bad at all on 8week veg

My temps stay under 80F and humidity is low always. I don't think I have ever went into too many specifics on environment but I run AC in the bedroom with the closet so the air is cool and dry. There are 4 oscillating fans in my flower room and the 1000w bulb stay 17inches above the tallest top.

Thanks again bro.

Nice work, and nice outlook Da Purps i wish you all the best bro!

What are you up to for the outdoors side of things my man? Have you already got a spot to throw a few down? Im keen to throw a couple outdoors too but have never done outs before only ever indoors. Lucky for us theres amazing outdoor info / resources on here..The hardest thing about outdoors IMO is having the spot. I have a few months until our next outdoor season starts im going to spend that time trying to find then prepare at least a couple of spots. Being out in nature is awesome i just really hope i can find some good locations over the coming months. Lol what can i say Julians thread inspired me im sure your've glanced at it too..

take care man and stay safe

Julian was/IS a huge inspiration ! I have a few spots secured and believe I will do great outside. In another week or two I can go out without supp lighting and plants will stay in veg.

Thanks for dropping in BlazingSaddles :)

BRNEYDBVR I might have to give the grapefruit a shot on my next order, thanks again for the insight bro.

make sure towards the end of her life cycle u check ocassionaly for mold, with that 1000 givin u denseity and the sumer temps n humidity that shit can show up over night, just check your top buds daily and towards the end u might have to water as little as possible to thawrt it, i usually just bottom feed the run off collectors i use for the last week and then every few days top water(water the contaniers) just a tad, if u can have plants almost weeping daily toward the very end mold can be tharted easily, just a technigue u may or may not need to employ, looking good though, be patient

Awesome to hear u got some spots secured and ready Purps.. nice work man.

No doubt you will do great outside.. Just wondering if u dont mind sharing basic details about how u went about finding outdoor spots? Did u use google earth first then investigate on foot? Reason i ask i live in a city but where i am theres a ton of forestry and parks all around the outskirts. Most of this land is public land though (think bushwalks etc) so im very unsure about where to start looking.

Any tips or pointers are much appreciated..

I live in a city on the East Coast and because I have lived in the area for over a decade I know of very secluded spots of private property on large parcels of land that are not actively used. One spot is 10ft from a 4lane road, but it's 15ft straight up from the street through briar and thicket. Have to come in from the back, which is private, which is going to hopefully be my key to getting a harvest.

I am going to grow my medicine in the city, in tight spots that are hidden in plain sight if you will. I feel much safer this way, then being alone in the woods in a national forest. I can dissapear too easily in the city. Lets just say there is not a pig in this jurisdiction that is going to outrun me, haha.

I have tracked my spots since last year and narrowed them down over time based on security of the area. In a city people walk a lot, they take shortcuts, etc. You have to consider everything.

Nice.. Especially the last bit, you have to consider everything. Im one of these people too that tries to think of all the possible options / avenues / outcomes, gota stay safe thats priority number 1. My main concern with outdoors is the amount of time i would need to spend to find some spots. I think its important to be really efficient when searching otherwise u could lose soooo much time floundering around not making any progress. In saying that gota have patience too i know it can take a while to find a great spot.

Ugh patience... something i have little of but im getting better lol as i get into my 30s

See ya round Purps thanks for your insights as always

Ok, this is some serious shit.

I aint never smoked weed like this. My eyes are red like I'm 16 again and this is not a daytime smoke. i am going to sleep well tonight... puts me in a daze, zooooooonnneeed ouuutt !! haha, I like it. 2 days till Week 8 and I will take 1 more branch :) I might take the rest of the plant mid week next week a few days before week 9. It's stoney as hell already compared to the shit i been growing.

Now I gotta figure out what to do with the other weed i wont be smoking anymore.

We are in Week 8 now and I took 2 branches today. There has been a good bit of swelling since last week. THe skunkman that is also in week 8 looks to have a few more weeks to go, but her buds are massives.

Pics later today. I will probably take the Ice down in a few days. She is freakin massive and all the branches flops around under their weight even with ties on them.

One of the two branches I took today, they all look the same

I will prob chop the rest of the Ice pretty soon, the smoke is most excellent already. And there is an easy 6zips, I think it's closer to 8 but I don't know. The Skunkman should be good for another 1.5 or 2. All gravy.

Glad you got your Ice harvested and the smoke is great too. I am guessing the Skunk will be more of a daytime buzz.

Thanks bro, we will see with the Skunk :)

To keep myself busy while all this Ice is drying, I worked on keeping the strain going by taking some clones and prepping the next round of Ice.

I took 5 for now, I am thinking of making one of these into a Mother and veg'ing 2 out for the round after the next... gotta keep it going... If all 5 root, 2 will go outside.

Here is the donor, I took all the clones from down low, and then transplanted her deep into a 4gallon container. This is the one I have choosen to go outdoors first. It is prime time to plant and she is already large !!! I will let her root for a week or two and then out she will go. I hope she serves me well :dance013:

Isn't she a beauty !

This is the next Ice that will hit flower. She has been topped and some branches have also been topped.

She doesn't have much of a shape yet, but I just started working with her this week. I will probably flip her after the Skunkman#1 is done. I still have two of the Skunks going, one on week8, one on week 4 or 5.
