120k electrical room

hey grow nerd,
the wire is pulled through conduit and goes to each bulb drop,i would guess the longest run on the top floor is around 80 ft,.,,,i have worked in many big 100+ light shows and no one uses digital ballasts, due to reliability.
I have not heard, or see any issues in this setup, maybe since its done properly by someone who knows what they are doing?

The cust. wanted the air handler setup like this. I hang them, trapeze them, and bolt them to the wall. It makes no difference which way u hang them, but it is better to have ducting on the intake and output to pressurize and prevent the blower from free wheeling.
Hanging the handler in a vertical position fries boards like you wouldnt believe, due to the design of the drip pan.

If you have long cable lengths for the lamps, there are a couple tricks to help. When you wirenut the wires in the octagon box, use waterproof wirenuts or apply a small of anti-oxidant drop into the wirenut, or around the bare wires, then twist around the wires. When you have high humidity and heat, the copper strands will oxidize over time and become brittle. How many times have you opened a ballast box and untwisted the wirenuts and the wires are brittle and black. Another option is to add a tiny drop of the anti-oxidant on the tip of bulb end and screw into the socket.

fuck ya, that's an awesome clean looking setup. really looks good. the electrical room is gonna get really hot. 60 ballasts worth 24 hours lol. mind you with good sealing work your smell will not reach the electric room so you can blow that air out with no worries about stinking up the neighborhood. would love to see as many more pics as possible of every aspect of the op. these kind of professional set ups are inspiring, many thanks for sharing.
