I feel comfortable saying that the CannaBunker is now complete. I wanted to start a new thread, since the other one is getting a little long.

This new thread will be devoted to my silent ladies who treat me so devinely.

I planned on starting up on a good and positive vibe, but when I checked the plants this morning there was a near disaster! In the mother room I forgot to turn on my new reservoir auto-fill timer. All of the mothers and freshly rooted clones had their roots dry up. Another day and I would have lost all of my genetics.

Actually, I always try to keep one soil mother around for just this occassion. Future plans will include a backup plan of making "waves" of clones every two weeks, so there is ALWAYS a rooted clone ready to take the place of a dead mother plant.

This is a little bit of a rough start for me, and this could push back my harvest another month. Fucker!

Anyway, the pictures HAVE to get better from here on out.

Damn, sorry to hear of your mistake. I've done the same thing, left a timer unplugged after a cleaning session. Sucks to walk in and see all your girls shriveled up, you want to kick yourself in the balls! Keep your head up, hopefully you didn't lose all your genetics.

There are a few clones that look like they'll pull through, at least one of each kind. They are:

Green Crack
GHS Lemon Skunk
God Bud x Afgani Dream
Blue Dream (from a bean)

I was also lucky enough that I took a hundred cuttings about a week ago. Let's hope they root!

I'm a bit of a pickle here. It looks like I don't have enough plants after the disaster to fill out my room, and the cuttings are being stubborn as usual. There was a seed giveaway from DutchGrown which would be ideal, but I don't know how long it will take to get seeds in hand. It could be another few weeks before I start to see roots, so I'm considering buying some beans to keep me going in the meantime.

I always seem to run out of cash before the next harvest, I thought this time would be different, but I was wrong. In short, I'm a little short, and I need good genetics for cheap. I'd love to go with RES or DJ Short, but they're a little expensive for me right now. I'm also not going to bother with mother plants on this run, so I won't be saving any genetics.

What do you think? GHS has decent genetics for a good price. I need 5 10-packs to fill up my 48 spots, so I'm trying to make this as painless as possible.

I could wait for the cuttings to root, but I've been having bad luck with cloning lately. Why does it take a month or more to root? I use rapid rooters and a heat mat. The CannaBunkerMan is having a rough week.

EDIT - Oh, yeah, I also have a bag full of DJ Short TBB F2 beans. I'm a little worried about those, since I did a batch and it didn't get people high. I know F2's are widely variable, but could that indicate a problem with all of the beans?

2ND EDIT - DutchGrown suggested I take a look as some of his super duper deals on seedbay. How long does it take for seedbay to deliver? I've never tried. DGS looks like they have some decent stuff, any suggestions? I hate waiting, but patience pays off, especially with growing pot.

You are right, sir! As long as the GC survives, I will too. I am resourceful, and I still have the means to take over the world with a new clone army. It will just take a month or two longer.

Or maybe sooner... It always pays to have a plan B. And C.

Not too much to report. I was spared a major disaster by a minor disaster. I have at least one of each type of clone, except for the GHS Lemon Skunk which only has one.

The first shot is of my backup plan, 2 soil mothers. The left plant is a revegging Blue Dream (from bean), and the right plant is Green Crack.

I don't think any of my hydro moms will survive, but some of the clones will be able to replace them soon. The front left of the 2nd picture is a healthynew mom God Bud x Afgani Dream.

Quite a few clones died, and the 3rd picture is of the survivors. All of the rest got voted out of the bunker.

I'm still waiting on these cuttings to root. Some of them are over a month old.

A friend of a friend offered me some beans. I believe it was Island Sweet Skunk x (Colombian Red x Afgani). If that pans out, growing from seed should get me going faster than waiting for new mothers followed by new clones.
