My 18 inch by 18 inch Mother cab

So the whole reason behind this cab is because I had an 100 watt metal halide laying around. I picked it up a couple weeks ago for about 30 bucks! A hell of a deal if you ask me lol. Anyway, I was super stoned one day and started designing a cab big enough to hold a single mother using the 100w metal halide. So here it is! It stands at 4 feet tall. I put the exhaust right at the top and made the intakes on the bottom left and right (can be seen in pics). The cab is pretty much lightproof when the door is closed. I haven't gave it a run yet but I put some of my mothers in there to show you guys how it looks. I don't think I will have a problem with temperature since the wattage is so small. Now that the cab is built i'm thinking of upgrading it to an 175w MH.. lol funny how that works. The pot I am going to use is only 10 inches tall so I will have some extra growing space. Let me know what you guys think! Thanks for looking. Also if you have any questions about my design please feel free to ask.

Fan and scrubber? Where do they go? If inside, the space left over may not be enough for the growth a 175 could produce. Study up on LST or ScrOG.

Very nice bonzai!

Thanks! It's a Green Crack clone i picked up a couple weeks ago.

The fan is at the very top in between the two black peices of board, The piec on the underside is about 1 1/2 shorter on every side to allow air to keep moving but block most of the light. Stealth isn't a huge concern for me on this cab. I am however almost done with my flower cab and I will be needing a scrubber for that one. I have been trying to stay up to par with lst and I think I am going to try scrog soon! You might be right about the space for the growth of a 175 though. I bet it will be a challenge to train! I'm always up for a challenge though lol

hella nice setup man, working on a cab now..

Thanks! You should throw it up I love to see other peoples designs

That's a good cab to start off with! I was actually looking at those as well. I can't wait to see it once you got it up and running bro

That's tight though!! I'm planning on upgrading to a 400 watt cab after I give my 250 hps a couple of tries. I'm kind of rusty lol

Ooh that bonsai mom is gonna take off when you light her up right!

gimme some dimensions and what you're using for ventilation and I'll run some numbers through my ventilation calculations for ya.

On my Flower cab I am going to run a 250 hps and I currently have a 6 inch fan that is supposed to be 250 cfm.. I'm not sure how big to make the intake(s).. Any suggestions?

What's the size of your fan?

If it's 4" then you have to cut a 5"x5" intake.

Not enough intake space for sure!

You need to cut a 7-1/2" x 7-1/2" hole or 18 x 2" holes for the best performance.

Oh damn I need way more then lol. I am going to make the necessary adjustments tomorrow. I haven't had a chance to give it a test run yet. Hopefully after I fix the intake I can fire it up

So I did a few modifications to my veg cab since the last time I posted it up. I Just got my pots in today and they seem to fit in well.. Not too tight to allow my intake some air space. I should have clones in there within a matter of days. My local hydro shop is out of Fox Farm so I have to wait it out for a day or two. Anyway, I took out the light trap on the inside to add a couple extra inches of headroom. Like I said on my other post stealth is not really a huge issue so I attached a piece of vent at the top for a light trap. Each pot holds 1.5 gallons so I'll have enough room for 4 mothers in there. I haven't decided which ones to throw in there yet though lol. Let me know what you guys think
