The cfl`s are the 6400k

and my 2 cfls are in a little micro cab i made

and the hps is in a dresser cab i made

so its one or the other

i just didnt know if the hps would be to much for a cutting

since I got my knuckles spanked bustin yer balls in your other thread, I'll come in here and offer you some help.

If you can keep your temps @ 80f it doesn't matter what light you decide on using, however, if you keep the unrooted clones too close to the HPS, then the lumens will just burn em up before they can take root and kill em.

Remember, blue spectrum is better for vegging/cloning. This would be in the 2400k range. Your 6400k bulbs would be better used for flowering.

I would suggest using the micro cab and 6500k cfl to clone with.

edit: I am not going to edit this post, so you can all read my mistake. Please refer to my next edited post in this thread.

its all good my man ,

But Wait a min

are you intentionally giving wrong advise on what light spectrum to use for veg , and flower ?

i might be a noob but i believe that is backwards

6400k for veggin

and 2700k flowering

im gonna be veggin the clone to get her ready to be put outdoors

My dresser cab stays around 85 degrees and about 35 % humidity

idk what the humidity is in my micro cab but the temp is about the same as the dresser

Im just wondering what would be best to start the cone under

wait what? awww shit man I may have inadvertantly mixed em up, it's been so long since I used em..my sincerest apologies.

edit: I had to go do some homework to get my memory back

Color temperatures over 5,000K are called cool colors (blueish white), while lower color temperatures (2,700–3,000 K) are called warm colors (yellowish white through red).

cfl will land you more bud, so that's what I would use.

I want it to finish it outdoors

i just want it under a light long enough to develop roots and then hardened off to keep veggin and finish outdoors

here is a pic of the cab with the hps , and a pic with the cfl

then you could use them both, but still, the hps, having more watts would be better.

ok

thank you ,

its a fresh cutting that i just took 2 hrs ago

so i didnt know if an hps would be to much for it

im using roottech gel for the rooting hormone

and i got a spray bottle with ph water around 6.0 with a little superthrive in it

Thanks for the advise everyone

well, gbb is right, but I would tend to also agree with D-Rex moreso..get em rooted first..then hit em with the lumens..

put it at double the distance that you would use for older plants. that is about 30-50, because normally it should be kept 15-25 cm away. closer the better, but not when they are rooting or very young. it would be better and more economical to use an cfl till they start to grow, but if that's not an option, you can use the hps.

ok

i will use the cfl for it

i was just wondering which of the 2 would be best

so i will use the cfl to root it , then go hps then hardened off to go outside
