Hey guys this is my third grow and have decided to go vertical and maximize my vertical space. My grow area is 3'x3'x6'. I am growing in soil with BC nutes and Fox farm solubles. I am using a 1000w galaxy dimmable ballast turned down to 400w currently I am going to turn it up to 600w when I begin flowering, I have heat issues in my grow area as it is hopefully once my cooltube arrives I can solve that issue. The strains that I am running are 1 Hawaiian cotton candy, 3 different double sour diesel x sour diesel phenos, and 1 skunkberry. The hcc grown from clone is at 10 weeks and the 3 dsd x sd have been grown from seed and are approx 6 weeks along with the skunkberry. All are currently in 3 gallon pots. I am going to transplant the hcc into a 5 gallon pot tomorrow. Anyway enough talk here is a pic.

The hcc is in the back left of the picture
Skunkberry is in the front left
The other plants are dsd x sd

that hcc has a great start! Does it stretch much? Its gonna be huge! Nice :)

Yes the HCC is going to be a beast. I have only run her once and this pheno doesn't stretch bad, about a foot if I recall correctly. I'm hoping she will yield nicely my last grow got horribly infected with spider mites so we shall see. I haven't ran any of the other strains before so I don't know what to expect in both stretch and yield.

hey how much of a difference in temps did the cool tube make? is it using the same fan as the exhaust for the tent?

does the galaxy ballast really dim down from 1000w to 400 and 600? sounds like some wild shit but do you change bulbs when you dim it too?

homie see how this cool tube works out with your tent im not sure about a 600w in 3x3 because of bulb distance and radiant temps. hate to even say reflector but that may be the best choice so you can get the bulb up high and further off the plants?

gotta see how it goes with your ambient temps and strains. hope you get a nice bunch of sticky buds either way...thats peace!

The tent temps dropped about 8 - 10 degrees installing the cooltube, but I also moved my tent from a closet to a open room since the tent was just getting heat soaked too badly. The cooltube is using the same exhaust fan, with a carbon filter sitting at the bottom of the tent. Once I move to a new place I will be able to setup my 4'x8' tent and run a dedicated fan for the filter and have a separate fan pulling air from outside the tent through the cooltube.

Yes the ballast does do 400, 600, 1000 and has a turbo function. You don't change bulbs you have to use a 1000w bulb, I turned it up to 600w today too see the temp difference and the temps went from 70F to 78F.

The plants appear to be fine with them being anywhere from 10-12" from the cooltube.

gotta see how it goes with your ambient temps and strains. hope you get a nice bunch of sticky buds either way...thats peace!

That is the plan, I am hoping I get a decent yield.

Now this is looking great

Looks great bro!
Usually if all else is healthy n my lower
leaves are dying off,its time for me to
transplant n let the roots grow.
Just my two cents Goodluck!

So guys and gals not much more to report other then yellowing issues i was having with my plants was my new ph meter finally, after calibrating it and testing against my already calibrated meter it was almost 2 ph points off. I'm guessing that was causing the yellowing of the leaves along with purple stems. Here are some shots at 5.5 weeks. Sorry for taking forever to post I have been super busy

# Group shot, ( All of the DSDxSD phenos are on the right, SB on the front left and Hawaiian CC in the back left )

I'm so glad to see this. I've been considering going vert in my 3x3x6.5 tent. I have a 600 watt hps and a cool tube.

are you pulling air through a carbon filter up top into the cooltube?

Thanks!

Was gonna ask the same thing. From the looks of it, the inline is on the ground blowing straight into the cooltube.
