Bootz, paulo, killerweed, shafty - thanks guys :tiphat:

yourcorpse - yeah about 8.5 oz i think which is decent, but i think ive had more on the last few runs - more like 9-10 oz. usually a couple of the plants hit 3oz or more. not sure why it's less, perhaps the diesels arent massively big yielders.

PG - i have just installed the next run, as i remember we have a giesel, a C4D, a trainwreck and im running the purple pistiled cherry bomb again. i potted them up yesterday and am going to veg them into the airpots for a week before flipping them

photo's soon, and some smoke reports on the last lot. i can say that both of the diesels are f'in strong :D

livin' off the fat o' the land :jump:

Hey VG,

Took part of this evening to read your thread, excellent work I have to say.

Beautiful Photography, and really interesting to see the diverse examples of canna strains.

For me personally, just as a voyeur, the Cherrybomb 2, and your Blueberry Cut stand out, Hope you saved some Cherrybomb pollen to hit your BB with? :)

Keep up the good work anyhow,

cheers, mitch

---

so i guess ive been holding out on you guys, been very busy. here are some pics of the latest run :dance013:... i recycled some of my soil for these (first time ive done that) i re-ammended it with EWC, seaweed meal and some N and P guano. hopefully the plants will be happy - so far so good. i vegged them for 5 days or so in the airpots and they are now at 11 days flowering. - so , introducing the new run...
here is the Cherry Bomb 2 being run again. hopefully the pistils will still be purple

and a C4D from rez, this was gien to me as C4D#5. as you can see it has inherited or caught the leaf streak trait from the chem D cut - so it look a bit odd but is perfectly happy - in the same soil etc as all the rest of the plants and growing vigorously. some people think this is mosaic virus, im not so sure, but if all goes well i should have an answer as someone kindly offered to get it tested for me (the Chem D cut)..

Very nice line up once again VG!

I'm going to have to start recycling my soil too, theres only so many planters I can build outside! What was your base soil you ammended, storebought or homemade?

Also I thought of your blueberry the other day when I was looking at a thread in chimera's forum, his highland mexican x blueberry has a very similar foxtailing with colour to your cut. Fairly long flowering and sativa leaning otherwise though.

Cheers, mitch

Recycling soil - nice one. Are you going to use any enzymes (for the old roots)?

That trainwreck looks like it could be a handful stretchwise.

I reckon that ChemD thing is genetic...I see that sort of stuff a lot on my Afghani x NL plants, and it's never spread to anything else, which with all the mite problems I've had, would have seemed pretty likely if it was TMV...imvho.

Any of the CBs show purple pinstripes on the stems? One of the Cherryjuanas is....

hey mitch, ive posted my soil mix in the thread a few times, its a home-made one. ive always re-used my weed soil in the garden for tomotoes and soil improvement etc, my old school views on crop rotation have stopped me from continually re-using for cannabis... but i just didnt have time to do anything else this run - so we will see how it goes. many people use their organic soil over and over for weed.

g0v - thanks mate :tiphat:

blimey - yeah the trainwreck has the most vine-like growth ive come across - which isnt as ideal as i thought for a scrogger. it has the longest potential internode extension that ive ever seen - but it looks like it's budding up already. the plants in the pics still need a bit of training over the next week or so.
i agree with you on the chem d thing :) but will be nice to put that one to bed if all goes well ...
the cherry bombs - yeah about half had red stems and/or petioles, including the purple pistil one
im enjoying smoking the CB, lovely functional smoke just the right potency to get you stoned but not put you in trouble. i seem to slightly prefer the green pheno i had, which i didnt keep a cutting of - but this might be more to do with the fact that i chopped it a week earlier - i like the slightly more 'up' high it has. the cb2/purple pistils pheno was slightly stronger but more stoney. this time i'll run cb2 for 9 weeks instead of 10 and see if that corrects it. if not its back to the seeds.

the diesels are very strong, actually too strong for everyday use for a lightweight like me :D. the high is really mongy on both of them. it's so great to be able to grow these 'famous' cuts and try them out for myself in comparison to what i already have - it's giving me a great frame of reference. i would say that the Chem D, casey jones, ecsd and original D all have pretty similar highs tbh. i think i like the chem best out of them all. looking forward to trying these new ones too.

hey schwagg, ive smoked trainwreck from seed but not from a selected cut. this plant really can stretch and is capable of producing huge internodal distances even in veg. possibly would do better under a bigger light but i imagine its genetic...

hey mad - glad to inspire you :tiphat:

Habel - thanks and yeah give it a try. it seems to get the most out of limited watts..

dao - yeah i have some huge choice atm, most of it is a bit too strong for me tbh :D , i love the bubba kush (that i did in the microcab) and the Cherry Bomb. for bag appeal the Chem d has to be the winner, and the casey jones is possibly the most potent...

we are at about 3 weeks flower now and the stretch is (hopefully) over. i dusted the Trainwreck with a bit of CB pollen, im not going to make seeds with the giesel or C4 D as they are both already multi hybrids and i prefer to use IBL's or close to that to make seeds. i should cross something to the cherry bomb this time - either the haze or the Deep chunk. haze might be a good one..

photos next week

I've heard the Casey is a nice smoke...never tried it myself, to my knowledge. And yeah, your Chem did look amazing...crazy resin.
Any news on the ChemD Mosaic Virus result?
Peace bro.
