I've heard that too, but mylar reflects much better! I've never had a problem with hot spots with regular mylar, but I'm still pretty new.

What I have now is called Permaflect. It is a vinyl roll. Much, much stronger than regular ol mylar, plus it has an uneven surface which will reduce the chance for hot spots even more. Worth the cost, IMO.

cringes at the mere mention of mylar

Us southpaws used to smear the lead on the mylar the way we curl our hand to draw

Fortunately very few projects required mylar,
but it only took one to give you life long nightmares - hahaha

Today's Coloradoan had a photo slide show of the improvements at Mishawaka Amphitheater
(I'd post a link but I get the impression they are verboten)

We were up there for lunch and a look around
a couple weeks ago and got a kick out of this section of their menu

I thought everybody was going to eff and superball.

edit: if anybody wants some clones pretty much pre-vegged, The Cure by yale & i-25 has $10 clones of Hollands Hope and Oahu Pakalolo by around 10-12" from the roots...supposed the HH is solid and easy to grow and the Pakalolo should be fun on the basis of Hawaiian genetics alone :)

Popped some old school seeds that I was gifted from an old vietnam veteran, he brought these seeds back with him from Asia. I was surprised they popped, 3/3! I hope to see some good genetics outta these seeds, maybe even a male would be nice.

$200/ounce was the standard price with we left Sonoma County in January
(regardless of strain)
Last fall after outdoor harvest $150/oz was common

$200/oz is what they were asking at In Harmony yesterday... just before they closed their doors for good. guess the fine and upstanding citizens of Windsor put their foot down... they still have a sign on I-25: $9 grams. hope to take a picture of that before they take it down...

I was thinking the exact same thing........

Having grown up with Nelson Rockefeller's NY State drug laws that sign boggles my mind

"starting September first NY State will have the toughest drug laws in the nation,
don't get caught holding the bag"

-1973 TV-Radio ad

38 years laters I can still hear those ads in my head

maybe today I'll grab the Nikon and head south on I-25
my buddies back east will get a kick out of a sign advertising 9 dollar grams
They laughed their butts off when I mailed them Cheba Hut menus

Hollands Hope(skunk x afghani) is nothing special, grew it out a few times (clonedoc version). Wacked it to make room for other, better strains. Still have his OG though...

Mountain_High, sounds interesting! A male would definitely be welcomed! Old seeds sometimes give some amazing genetics!

FWIW you can get $180/oz (everyone) at the herbal center on colo blvd. Also $160/oz (member only) at burnzwell on broadway. THC has somewhat better buds but they ones I got weren't quite dried enough. Those are the best "$200/oz" dispenseries I know of. Don't know of any places selling A/A+ grades for that low though.

I'm not expecting a lot, its my first grow so if I can get a 3oz plant that isn't mid grade I'll be quite happy. I was looking up info on this strain and saw people generally giving it a 7-8/10. Someone said it gets very resinous indoor.

Simple. The laws of supply and demand.

Ever been to Jamaica Mon'

Go where the tourist goes and buy "small sack" - and you get a SMALL sack - usually b grade - if your lucky. - Get back out of town - meet a couple Rasta's and the "small sack" is a grocery bag

And them Rastas - smoke da goo sheet Mon', lik there aint no tommorro Mon'

Local market says all that BigBud and Chronic crap that fed the masses around here for years, - well, that dog don't hunt no more.

And with the Legal Eagles and politicians now on the payroll, lower grades will suffer the worst locally. And consumers.

On the bright side - some bright entrepreneur will be wanting to find a more receptive market. If the pay is right.

On the bad side - a lot of them will choose the good shit.

I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round.......

Ohhh for Good Mex food and a Margurieta (or 2) - Hacienda Real across from S/W plaza

awwww Mang,,, munchies.......

The rate of increase for demand is minuscule compared to the rate of increase for supply.

Demand stays relatively the same, supply drastically increases. Prices drop.

ECON 101
