how do you turn a female clone into a male?

hello everyone,thanks for al your help !!!! i thought for sure there was a way to turn a femal clone into a male. mayby the best i can do is femminized seeds then. i'll try that but i'm going to try some stress to one and see if i can get it to change sex. hans again fo al your help and hve buzedday i know i wll. peace and GOD BLESS

Okay I'm pretty sure you're saying you haven't found a way to turn a female clone into a male... is this true?

There are ways that have been proven.

You should probably try using CS rather than light stress to "turn your female clone into a male".

You do understand that colloidal silver will do what everyone on this thread thinks you want to do, yes?

You don't have to make any feminized seeds with the staminate flowers, but why else would you want them to appear?

I'm really lost and not really high at all... alright maybe a little... but that doesn't detract from my confusion...

sorry it took so long to get back. thanks for all the help.i want a male and female plant to make and carry on line of rosebud.feminized seeds are all female,"thus i'll have to do it each time"i don't want that.i want to be able to make more seeds by dropping some in soil and done. so far as i know if you stress a baby plant bad enough it will turn male.thats what i read anyways.going to try and find out .have a buzzed day i know i will. peace and God bless

I think the quest he is on is to breed (non femmed) beans of his fav strain (rosebud) using only plants grown from femmed beans. Which is (in fact) impossible.

I'd just keep a clone of my favorite rosebud, and grow out some more beans that aren't feminised (possibly of a closely related strain) and make a cross when you find a good male.

Yeah that's the major issue I have with the femmed beans.

I thought for sure by now that the industry would only be offering them and not regular... for sake of business.

Perhaps there's hope for us yet

buzzed- You CANNOT (genealogically speaking) change a female plant into a male.

You CAN spray your plant with coll. silver/ gibbrilic acid and get your plant to express male stamens (the male sexual organ of plants), but your resulting seed crop will be all female. (as you already know I think)

But if you want to breed a non-femmed seed version of your rosebud, it is impossible using just femmed beans. Thats like trying to make a clone only strain into seeds.
Either you just make S1 seeds using the col. silver/ light stress (or whatever stress), or you can do like I suggested earlier and find a closely related (standard m/f beans) strain... Find a good male that as closely resembles your original reosebud as possible, and make a cross.

Rezdog did it as a first step in making his sour diesel IBL. He crossed the sour diesel clone to a male (soma?) NYC sour diesel. I'd bet he did more inbreeding/selection after that before he released the IBL though... but that is the general idea....

yeah but it seems he's keeping it close to home till it gets dialed in

this guy has his own rosebud, if i were him i'd totally want to keep it going as well, *sigh* given the fact it's femmed seed i'd probably just default to perpetual cloning

having dj's in non feminized form would probably be the most ideal to work with though...

didn't know there was another plant called rose bud. mine is not the same as his.this one in the early weeks of flowering smells like roses and came from some hydro stuff that others got and gave us some seed that was in the bud.the growers really wanted to bye the seeds but we kept for us.this year we got 1 desail,1 rose bud and 1 northern lights/skunk female plants to add to the collection and now i have to make seeds for all of them and mix them with some or all of my other kind. i have read stories of female clones turning into males, a long time ago when i was more active in hear and other places i thought but mayby not,the mind ain't what it used to be.i am going to make some of my clones stress real bad and see if they convert to male. if not then i'll do feminized.thanks all for everrything and if i do make males i'll post it to a new thread.
