just doesn't seem to be the most efficient use of lighting the way you have the big bushes set up. seems to be ALOT of light hitting the walls/ceiling. maybe they'll stretch big enough to fill all that up though, so i might be wrong.

either way, those plants look healthy and thriving. good stuff. i just think this method would be great for SOG.

to be honest, its best as a scrog. his is my first run with this set up in my new place. il have dmts mfts started soon, maybe monday, im only running 11 kw, and if a break 20 elbows of medical grade marijuana, that isnt bad for a 1st run in a new place. the bubble haze plants should net 6 lb at least betwee the 2 of them, we'll see if i have ny more hick ups, peace,

the best thing about mft's is they do not require a low water temp, especially with hyox added every other day. even without hyox, the roots will grow air breathers that shoot straight up to breath while the drinkers just follow the stream. have fun and watch your water flow in the first couple weeks to be safe, lil guys dont like over sogginess to start,

really like this method, thanks for sharing :)

the most user friendly and builder friendly ever,

ps i just set up 2 more tables for dmt, it took me 10 minutes to assemble the second structure, and another 20 min to make the lids and line with vapour barrier )

well girls have been in for a few days now, growth is slow to start using one bulb per 4 x8 for firsr few days alternating so the buld on other table was opposite end,i am finding the clones wilting a bit and have been running pump for an hour on and 3 off and they appear to be picking up,yes i have the pump as low as possible for flow just barely hitting the edge of the 3x3 rw cube and im just wondering how long it takes to get thru this stage..?

hey brother can i ask another question? hahahhaha
didnt you say something about a dark period as you switch to flower
im getting to that time myself and i wouldn’t mind giving this theory a try
what was it.... 36 hours dark before the flip? or something like that

by the way the table looking good

i would like to say it is not a theory, and under optimal conditions can have you harvesting a week early, and see flowers in 7-10 days. it really a most impressive shock treatment, mm

it is not a theory
Definitive difference in practice. I asked about this about two months ago, tried it, and it does accelerate preliminary flower set. (PERIOD.)

Definitely worth the experiment if you can manage the time, space, and darkness. Forty-eight hours in darkness (necessity of schedule) accelerated flower set between three-four days, but convincing 'pom-poms' appeared to develop at least seven days sooner. There may be other hormonal differences in development worth watching out for too.

Casual observation is that it did reduce overall stretch. This may be true or not. This may be good or not. I might have a better idea in a little while.

when any of my peers check out my spaces the find it hard to belive how fast the flowers set. i find my nutes and the shock treatments to be compound factors. i can have 10-11 weekers totally popping in 10 days, where as when i never used the treatment before it could take up to 3 weeks. i also have finished 10 week strains in 8 weeks by adding an extra 24 hours dark period 1 day a week. its all relative in the end, becuase over 8 weeks thats an extra 8 days of dark that the plants pick up, plus the 36 hours dark initial shock flowering, to make 11 extra nights.

i dont recommend 48 hours dark, as i find the plants get more pale and lanky. peace and thanks,

mm

That wasn't my experience, but our setups are very dissimilar. I can see how with the rapid development coming from your tables, such a thing could present itself.

hey buddy, im pretty sure i said that most strains, even "low yielders" will perform beyond your expectations in mft's.
the fact that the plants never stop growing is the key. every day in veg and bloom they grow substantially,

mm

cuttings are well rooted in 3 inch yes 3 inch cubes going into the table this weekend!!
med man or d what strain like this set up the most orshould i say yields the best ?imawaiting the original sweet skunkfromspice oflife and curious as to a kush of some sort waddyall think?

to be honest, alot of my peers veg for 24 hours then flip with 24 hour dark, with great results. techniques are always subject to the user, which encompasses strains, rooms, nutes, invested time and money etc etc, i just like using "good stress techniques", like photoperiod manipulation and immune activation for the best reults ive had

I veg for 24 hours and at flip time its darkness for 2 days, gets things started in the first week of 12/12. I was experimenting with an undercurrent rcdwc system that would have been great if I had a water chiller but, because I didnt, root rot was trying to set in. so I pretty much tossed the plants aside, they sat in darkness for a week, and when I noticed they were still alive, I though fukit, ill flower them ebb n flow. so one week into 12/12 and flowers were coming strong. now there my best plants in there. Chemd 4's, there at 5 weeks right now and probly my best grow.

okay well teh girls are perking up and the rootsare just hitting the bottomof the tableall 4-6leads are about 8-9 inches tall with grapefruit which is an indica she usually stretches 50% so what do you think is a good place to start with ,they have been in the table for 10days roughly..?
