why would they trade pau for cp3 the best true point in the league? pau sucks dick!!! that'd be dumb on No part. it's unrealistic to think bynum ans odom would be enough for dhoward too....what about arena's contract? one of the two will likely be retained or shipped somewhere other than orlando. maybe in a three team trade but, with their contracts it'd be impossible to keep bynum, odom, and arenas on any roster.

Odom+Bynum for DHoward+Turkoglu is a legit fiscal option. Check out espn trade machine and look at the salaries...

Orlando doesnt want to lose howard to free agency and have nothing in return.

Same for the hornets and Chris Paul...

Its true!!!

yeah but what about the collective bargaining agreement ending. every expert will tell you that the salary cap is coming down and until a new collective bargaining agreement is finalized nobodies going anywhere

would you trade cp3 for pau?

Cp3 has been rumored to say hes interested in joining melo & amare in ny when hes a free agent... So if i had the choice of trading paul for gasol or not resigning paul and watch him walk out the door freely and getting nothing in return, id do the trade - losing paul for nothing would be crippling...
Pau+West could be very attractive bigs in the lineup for the hornets....

Well see about the cba might not be basketball next year....

yeah, i agree with what your saying but, you leaving out the caveat of him only having 1 year left on the contract. if, he doesn't resign whats the purpose of signing him? then you'd be ass out. i think he's going to ny though too.

Thats the chance you have to take in today's sports. For college basketball, look at all the one and done's

The difference is now there's no loyalty, and organizations have to deal with that. Unfortunately.

What ya think of Bynum now? Last game as a Laker. :badday:

The play was dirty, and unnecessary, but its also being blown way out of proportion. Did you ever watch the bad boys play, or the Knicks when the played the bulls?

But as I said before, we took a good old fashion ass whoopin!!!

Half time and Boston needs to get that ball in to KG more.
Rondo's HANGING (PUN there somewhere) in there.
Ray's not a factor so far, Pierce is looking good.

shitted, organizations are the ones without loyalty. i've seen one of my close friends get black balled from the nfl after being the #6 pick in the draft and my brother get cut by the spurs while rehabbing a wrist injury.

no organization is gonna pull the trigger on a blind trade like that unless the star player is gonna sign an extension. look @ how much trouble it was to move melo. he didn't wanna sign an extension with any team except for the knicks that's why the nets couldn't get him. a player like cp3 is gonna cost ya big time. fans would be pissed if, you gut their team and that star player doesn't resign.

the nba has never sold more jersey's, had more sell out games or tickets, and the game has never been any popular yet, the owners want more $

i tell you one thing.....boston is getting every call. the refs suck! let's go heat!!!

I could be wrong didnt really feel like looking it up but did williams sign an extension with the Nets when they got him?

Totally different situation bruh! He had to be moved Jerry Sloan retired mid season cuz they couldn't get along. Dude is beloved in Utah, the longest tenured coach in nba history all with the same team. There's no comparison.

The Nets where reaching cuz they lost out on every other player sweepstakes and they need something anything to invigorate the fan base for the bk move. The russian made a dumb move cuz he's a gambler there zero chance he stays. Look @ how his sentiment has been since the trade. He said, he didn't want to be there.

That's almost like giving up your prized cuts that have been confirmed and rock out every time to someone who might have that elusive winner you've always wanted but, when someone who knows better is like dude that ain't really it you were dooped. Almost similar but, not quite but, I'm sure you get the gist of my point.

Deron Williams will likely move on and now you've given up a solid starting point the #3 pick DFavors who may turn into DHoward btw for naught. That's not a smart move if, DWill doesn't sign in fact it's a catastrophic fuck up if, he doesn't

No, he didn't sign, and is talking about playing in Europe if there's a lockout.
The Nets are hopeful he'll sign a long-term deal once the NBA and its players reach a new collective bargaining agreement.

Im thinking theres gonna be some moves before the lockout... Nothing to back that up just intuition

Yeah, it's definitely a possibility but, you know money is the key part of any move made with collective bargaining looming over head. La sports writers and fans are in panic mode right now. That's why that trade talk is so, prevalent but, actually making it happen is easier said then done.

I tell you what though....it's really gonna be a fire storm when we win the chip!

Lol
Its not panic mode.
Panic mode was after we lost to the pistons in our 4th straight finals appearance - only commodities we had then was shaq and kobe...

Now we are in reload mode. We knew Phil was leaving, we knew players were getting older. We also have at least 3 quality trade pieces and kobe bryant.

Mitch kupchak learned well from jerry west... As ya'll will see (again) when we make the right moves. We always do.
Some other team is gonna win the banner this year, but the Lake show is gonna be right back in the mix.

Being a Laker fan is great...
Glad Bynum only got suspended for 5....

Lol, Kobe is done though and he won't go away until he feels like it. He's gonna be like Shane Mosley after his prime.

You forget we have Pat Rilley pulling the strings and the more Bron and DWade play together the better they'll get. Pat has already stated we're gonna address the post play this off season and the pg position. With the top two out of three players in the league we'll be a supper power for a decade....In the words of Bron, "Not 4, not 5, not 6, not 7," lol.

Yall said the same thing when phil left in 04... "kobe will never taste championships again". What happened again? Oh yeah... A failed 3 peat attempt haha

When leloser gets a second ring maybe youll be close. He still has to get 1. Maybe this year?

Your strictly speaking as a heat fan. How is it any different Williams was signed without an extension bottom line. It happends.

Check the LA's history. We dont panic. We reup as we will do again.
We have the cash and the Market to do so.

I think the only people in panic mode are the rest of you fans out there, cause you know it wont be long. And we will be right back were we belong.

Yeah, it's definitely a possibility but, you know money is the key part of any move made with collective bargaining looming over head.

If it were all about the $ there wouldnt be know Big 3 in your beloved Miami. They all could of got alot more dough signing with different teams.

Lol, Bron is sure doing a hell of a job winning and not getting swept in the 2nd by Dirt of all people. Don't worry he'll have the first of many next October. Witness!!! I actually like Kobe but, he's done! The old Kobe would've taken over and never let himself get embarrassed like that. His knees are bad and he doesn't have "it" any longer. You can't beat father time.

I'm speaking as a basketball purist and student of the game! A lot of wishing and hoping going on s1s....know body fears LA. Teams like OKC, Memphis, Portland, and the clippers of all teams are perennial powers who will have a lot to say about LA's potential championship bids for the a long time to come.

Yes, when we win the chip it really won't be about $, it'll be about pride and legacy but, yall have a lot of work to do in order to get on our level. We did peel yall boyz skull back all season long btw.

As far as DWill, all GM's and most fans for that matter will tell you that was a bone head move. It's considered a reach and when he doesn't resign then what? Let's say he signs with LA, look how far you've set the Nets franchise back. It made very little basketball sense(without a long term deal in place) and was based on pure optimism which gets you very little in this game.

Wow
You are talking like lebron has finally done something. Hes five shy. Hes working on one i wouldnt be surprised if he got 2 eventually and 3 would surprise the hell out of me
The lakers are not not NOT chamionship material this year - but that only makes them like everyone else now.... contenders instead of 'better'. a far far FAR cry from 'sedale threat' level youre seeming to imply. Phils gonna be in jeannies ear so much he might as well be a consultant next year... Purple and gold will be hungry theyll be wanting to make up for the way they disgraced themselves by being swept by dallas. Kobe will have some rest finally and come back strong. Bynum too. Itd be great if pau & kobe could kiss and make up, odom & artest get moved for some speed on the perimeter, and bshaw turns out to be as good as everyone says.

The Clips... They will always be the jv because the worlds greatest landlord haha you are definately running on adrenaline with that one
