Will power bar lights disturb dark period?

Hey just wondering if the red and green lights on my power bar that are in my tent would cause issues with the dark period? The power switch is lit up red, and the indicator lights for fault protection are green. The red one is the biggest, but probably still LED.

Anything to worry about in terms of them causing hermies?

Thanks

I don't worry about it in my room, and they seem to be fine. Not sure if that's the rule or the exception though.

The red ones for sure, a few pieces of electrical tape is perfect.

To test for light leaks, sit in your room for 15 solid minutes and see if u can see your hand infront of your face.... if you can, you got a problem somewhere that needs to be fixed.

I say better safe than sorry. I would cover them up with some black electrical tape, that's what I do.

I say, lets block off the reflection from the moon. Especially bad, when it's full. C'mon, it's a plant and never gets complete darkness......

My experience has been that a red light on a power strip will cause plants to hermie. I had it cause a problem with the C99 I was growing but only the ones that were hit by the red light from the power strip.

I believe the reason the moon/other light sources do not cause any problems outdoors is because of the difference in intensity from the sun and complete darkness is not required. Indoors is another matter.

I've never heard of anyone having a problem because they put a piece of tape over it.
So with that in mind, I tape over mine

the moon is lit up by the sun and moonlight is kindof a reflecton not direct sunlight,,,, theres scienctifc way to explain it but im not the guy to do it...esp atm.. but on the note on power strip lights why not tape it i heard of ppl gettin herms and taped everything took bout 10min,,, or u can wait and see but diff strains herm easier then others,,, just tapem up peace

I had one in a 3.5X3.5 secret jarden which is small and really reflective with no problems. The moon was so bright here the other night you could read by it. About 12 years ago I grew three plants on the edge of a right-of-way about ten yards from a road that gets regular traffic all night long and never saw a seed.

yea that about sums it up......might as well not even take any chances, as long as that is not even happening, if anything ever does go wrong, at least you know it isn't that.

I used to check an outdoor plant two or three nights a week under aircraft landing lights, never seemed to bother them, and nary a nana in sight. But for the sake of a small strip of gaffer taper or similar I'd block it out.

I don't know if it's relevant to your situation, but I've read that sometimes females in very late stage of flowering will throw out a couple of male flowers, and that it's normal and an indication that the buds are ready to chop.

To add to the above, most often the light on a power strip is a LED - relatively high light intensity. FWIW, all my LEDs are covered.
