I am not doing any preventative maintenance. I have need oil and lavender and peppermint oil in case I have to use them though. I have yet to ever encounter a single pest in the years I have been growing *knock on wood* I am bound to have a rude awakening one of these days

About the caribiner situation, I just used 2 zip-ties and hooked them about 95% tight to the bar on the top of the tent. It also allows the caribiner to hook up. I originally tried your setup but realized I as losing a good 5-6 inches. With the zip-tie I only lose about 1/2-1 inch now.
I'll take a picture of the setup when I snag some shots of the ladies later
..was just re-reading this thread, .. You know, I had it set that way after we had this exchange, and one day shortly thereafter, I was moving the light, and the f*cking zip tie broke. Said they're rated for 75 pounds, but it sure as heck didn't hold. (And when I move the light, I don't just yank on the rope/hoist -- I take the pressure off the rope by supporting the light with my other hand)

I'm also careful when moving my light, but I used 2 zipties. No problems yet! I'm also only hanging the light/mogul by itself, no reflector/hood.
I feel lucky, I am only using 1 zip-tie and I did not even check the rated weight lol. But its working great so far *knock on wood*

The zipties I have are smaller so I felt better using two. I think some are defective (which is why they come in bags of 100) because I was just using one normally to tie some cables and it snapped without any tension on it.
Looks great trick, watch out for them falling over as the buds fatten up, its not a problem to rectify if they start to, juging by the cola length, they prolly will. G-Luck buddy!
What's funny is that, before I bought the 75 pounders, I had the whole getup rigged with two zipties on each side.. I bought the 75# and figured "Hell, this is enough for sure.."

I have been just using regular water for a week or so. I believe I ended up making 4 teas total, as well as a couple waterings with liquid karma and sweet.
I think I will keep them going another 10 days or so, I will be watching with my crappy microscope to find out for sure though.

So aside from the teas, it was just straight water? (And the LC #2 soilless mix?) And for the teas, just EWC and Kelp meal and molasses?
I used a tiny bit of botanicare liquid karma and sweet a couple times, like 5ml/gallon. I also used calmag+ until about day40.
