BF Skinner, you will need to wait a few months for a report from me, but good willing, I will make one.

I remember in the earlier sections of this thread discussion about there being some additional plant used in early stages but then selected and bred out.

Bangi Haze grown in soil. Flowered for a bit over ten weeks, flushed for the last three weeks or so.

The plants didn't turn out too big, I didn't really give them the love they needed deserved during veg and I think they suffered from some kind of PH issues or something. Now don't get me wrong this is all on me so I'm not complaining at all, but just thought it should be said that it isn't among the easiest strains to grow. And of course it's a strain bred for cold outdoor environments and I grew them in a hot indoor env... Though during flowering they didn't seem to need as much attention anymore.

There seems to be quite a bit of variation within the strain; flowering times differ a a lot. The quickest one was done at after 8 weeks of flowering and one isn't ready yet even after 10. The plants also looked quite different from each other. Some plants looked really interesting in fact, though dunno if my poor nurture has been involved in that. Check out this girl for example:

However what seems to be very consistent in the line is the odor. It is very strong, be prepared to deal with it. Breeder description calls the aroma spicy and sweet. I can agree with spicy but maybe not so much with the sweet, but also I think the description is referring to dry buds so lets see.

Took some clones but unfortunately none of them rooted. Luckily I made some f2's as I'm really eager to try it again, this time hopefully with better nurture. Also pollinated a Durban girl with the Bangi Haze pollen mix, but unfortunately the Durban girl hermied a bit so don't know if using those seeds is such a good idea.

Really eager to try it out but I'm taking a break from smoking at the moment, and of course they still need drying and curing. I'll try to come back sometime next month for a smoke report.

I wrapped up a Bangi Haze grow over 11 weeks and they could have possibly gone longer. Had some of the same nutrient issues towards the end as I started with plain water too early given they went longer than anticipated.

I can also concur with your statements on smell. These plants are extremely potent!! Be warned all that if you are trying to be stealth, you most likely need to up your odor control. I have run Sour Diesel and these plants out compete them for strength of odor. It is a garlick, onion smell with hints of strong animal hides. Even if you don't go near the plants, the odor clings to you when you leave the room. It is extreme and aggressive. Those that like the RKS or a strong diesel or chem, will be happy with these flowers. We'll see how they cure aroma wise. I vaped an uncured sample a week or so ago and it is a highly energetic experience. I expect great things after the cure.

Cheers,

Ur Humbl Nr8tor: Seems like our experiences have been quite similar with this strain. Also looks like you got a nice yield from those two plants there!

One thing I also noticed we had in common with our plants was pretty small resin gland size.

Here's a bud shot:

But the buds are resinous, see for yourselves:

When smoking the onset of effects is instant. You feel high while the joint is still burning. Definitely no creeper weed. Perhaps it has a lot of THCV due to its African (and Nepalese) heritage? Does anyone know if Bangi Haze has been tested for a cannabinoid profile? Would be really interesting to see the results.

The effects can be very happy and social, even at high doses. It won't make you dumb or sleepy but you might end up lost in your thoughts for a while. Or maybe forgetting what you were supposed to do. :)

But I must say it's not the weed for everyone and all situations. The other night I was watching a documentary on TV about stuff scientists had done to natives in the Amazon in the past after vaping a bunch of Bangi Haze and I was really overwhelmed with anxiety while seeing all the horrors they had done, though I'm usually someone that's quite hard to shock. So this weed is something that needs to be treated with respect, though mainly my experience has been very pleasurable. I guess it amplifies whatever emotions you're already feeling, though I suppose that has been said of all cannabis.

Oh and it has nice big seeds with thin shells. Delicious! Good for a food strain as well as a drug strain. :) Although I won't eat more as I didn't get that many seeds from the couple of buds I pollinated. Just tasted a couple for fun...

Love,

You are correct regarding resin head size. Small, but copious. Glad to hear you are enjoying her. I'll be sampling and writing up a smoke report in the next few weeks.

Cheers,

Thanks for your positive feedback guys :)

Indeed bangi haze high is maybe not for all the smokers, very speedic and energetic, but if you love true sativa high then youll love her ;)

We finally have the chance to analyse the cannabinoid profile of our strains, so ill be uploading some reports this year.

Bangi Haze(s) SMOKE REPORT

Grinding the bud produces a nice lemony/citrus spicy funk. #3 was also a bit mentholated. Flavors are similar. Light in the vape bag. I had tried both the more stringy sativa leaning #2 (left above) and the chunkier #3 (right). Both have a similar taste and effect with #2 winning my nod for being even more electric and slightly more flavorful. I have to say that this is truly a unique high for me. Strong in the head with some tachycardic activity and electric body tingle.

Several hits from the vape bag and you begin to feel her effects. Very strong cerebral activity. Medium duration, but the medicine has you craving more.

Be wary mixed with alcohol. The brain sharpening Bangi Haze mixed with brain reducing alcohol produces a very pronounced synergistic/antagonistic response.

I feel this is great day time herb. Also good where energy and focus are required.

I was lucky enough to grab a pack from some unpopular reseller some month ago.

I came home from work today very tired, grabbed a bowl and woooah do i ever need sleep again?

Highly energetic and all the time managable because its so easy to focus the energy on something what also brings me into really creative thoughts. Compared to other strains this one didnt make me a retard or gave me trippy feelings. Just energy, creativity and a sense of low gravity. Clear headed and enjoyable thats how i like it.

:thank you: dubi and friends for beeing so talented :gday:

Go work all day, get home, take care of the children, finally at 10 it's all done, now smoke a spliff and head off to the shrubs and woods to run and dig till 2am. Then get up at 7 in the morning and repeat :smoke:

We are pleased to know you are enjoying bangi haze :) Sure it's a great electric energetic experience :smoke:

I just chopped 8 Bangi babes that went 11 weeks. The yield was really nice and the high is stupendous! Really reminds me of what we used to get in the late '70's. My friends are going ape
Fantastic work, Ace!
