Well I finally made the switch. I have one of my 600's and my 1000 watt vertical now. I left the final 600 in a hood to finish off my other crop. I still got to hook up a special timer for my humidifier and 2nd carbon filter. Using straight outside air I am gonna move my ballasts back into the room for more heat so I can get more fresh air in the room.

The one big thing I have left to do is a SOG screen around the vertical side. I was thinking about taking some 4X6 metal fencing and doing a oval about 15" away from the lights. The strains are white rhino, himalayan gold(bad genetics but want to flower it out), and some clones I got that is really dank.

I am gonna have to upgrade my exhaust fan before it gets hot out. As soon as I hooked it up to the big carbon filter it lost a lot more air flow then I had imagined. My room is 8' cubed and has 2200 W's. My air filter is designed to handle 550-850CFM. I have a speed controller and am thinking about getting about a 600CFM fan. I am still trying to locate the right size of a tray or res to keep the entire garden in. My grow area inside the room is about 8' by 5'. I am hoping to find something that will fit inside there and hold all the plants to make dealing with the run off easier.

Any suggestions or concerns would be great. :tiphat:

Looks good so far, get that exhaust issues dealt with, you need to exchange that air frequently unless your running a "sealed" room.

I will watch with interest GROW ON BRO!

Here is the next set of ladies ready to go over. Got 1 church, 1 white rhino, and 2 blueberry that are all in 20 gallon smart pots. I have one extra white rhino in a 5 gallon if I need more to move over. After that is the next batch thats ready to go into a bunch of 5 gallon smart pots.

Got a new fan coming thats 740CFM for the flowering so I should be set to deal with the warmer weather that is on the way. This is some shots of the girls after day 28. I am using blumats and KISS with some additives every week or so when I hand water. Any suggestions would be great.

looks good! Those flood tables must make feeding a breeze! You need to get some fans under those lamps. Those plants are heat stressed.

Cool I can put some fans underneath the vertical bulbs. I just switched from horizontal on half the room and about to switch the other half next week so I am still tweeking the set up a bit. Never occurred to me to put a fan beneath them to move the heat up. The room itself stays about 76-79, so I just need to get the heat away from the bulbs better.

Upgrading my 8 inch exhaust fan tonight from about 450CFM to 740CFM to get ready for summer. I put in a temp fan underneath the 1000W bobblehead. When I take down tomorrow I am gonna try to reposition my main fan to get more air movement around the bulbs.

I am kinda curious how much passive air intakes I am gonna need. I only had a 6 inch passive intake with the 450 fan and it wasn't nearly enough as cold air was getting pulled through the AC as well as the intake.

Here is the girls after day 45. I moved 4 big plants over 2 weeks ago also. Still been making adjustments for keeping the light area cooler. I put in a new air intake that is much lower on the wall to help pull the hot air up. I think I am gonna put on on the opposite side also. I moved my carbon filter up some and will get it a few inches higher when I switch my next crop over.

I am a big fan of the "blueberry". It gets very frosty early in flowering.

I recommend you pull out your fiskars, and start chopping off all the fan leaves on the plants with buds on them. Any plants that are still stretching can keep their fan leaves. Looks great so far. I like your trellis.

Thanks bobblehead I just finished those up. I can move them inside the tray and use a brick to keep them put. I removed a bunch of fan leaves but there is a lot of them I couldn't reach. However I cleared a lot of light to the middle and back of the plants.

hey compost. Looks real good man...what size are those planters?

The big ones that are only day 14 are in 20 gallon smart pots. The ones that are next to come down is a mixture of 5 gallon buckets and 3 gallon smart pots. Thanks for the look dubwise :smokeit:

Here is the newer girls after day 21. The older girls are on day 53, gonna chop them down in a week and a half. I am still working on air movement but the room is doing better.

The 750 CFM fan is helping with heat a ton, but I am still battling it pretty good. Think I am gonna add another 8 inch intake on the opposite side of the room. I have the other 8 inch pretty low to help move hot air up as it is exhausted. The only other thing I can do in the short term is move my carbon filter up a few inches closer to the ceiling.

I have a similar size room 7 x 6 and im only using a 8" vortex / 8 x 39 phresh filter hanging in the top of the room to exhaust out the hot air and i have no temp issues at all with a single 1000w using a small fan underneath to slowly blow the hot air up ... I still have yet to hookup my active intake but im thinking of a 6" w/ speed controller .. if you were to use passive intakes it'd probally say go with two 8" holes although an active intake would probally be best

Looking good so far, nice work :)

Thanks mello. Harvested my first set of vertical girls. Was pretty disappointed on the weight but bud quality was through the roof.
