My sealed and pressed bubble bag hash is very hard. Calling hash Experts

So a brief run down, I made some bubble bag hash, harvested 110, 73 and 25 micron. I let it dry for 2 days, wrapped it in cellophane, then wrapped it in paper towel and wet it real good, and in to the over @ 250F for like 10 mins, I removed it from the over then rolled each one out with a soup can.

It looks good, dark brown, nice and shiney and smooth but it was very brittle after it cooled, and it is very hard, even tho if warmed in my hands it is some what malleable but not as malleable as hash I have made before.

So my question is, is this normal? Or did I fuck somewhere down the line?

My experience with hash is limited to what I make myself so I have nothing to compare it too.

It's jus' fine brah.:good:

Dry/hard hash stores well and will not mold.
Easiest use, is to use a lighter to soften a bit at a time then crumble and flatten with your fingers.
I like to, re-heat, make thin flakes, and roll them into tubes.
Stand the tubes on end in the pipe, and light the top.

You can skip the oven by rolling the fresh bubble into little pancakes, wrap them in "turkey bag material.
Then iron your li'l "fruit rollups" with a steam iron set to silk.

Turkey bags can take the heat and if you pop it in the fridge for a bit it peels off easily.

Enjoy!

I prefer to press mine when i smoke it if at all ( i usually drop a small piece into the bowl or roll a small ball) and with bubble hand pressing is enough its that pure, not really any need to be putting it in the oven.
You will find the hash varies in consistency and colour greatly from strain to strain too....Peace

I made some bubble hash a little bit ago and found the same thing. I didn't press it all into a cake but left it as flakes. The flakes are quite hard and if i pick one up I can break it in half like a pice of dried clay. However, if I hold a flake between my thumb and finger for a few seconds to warm it up a little, it becomes pliable and can be easily molded.

im not sure why u put it in the oven and did all that weird stuff...

i crumble the wet hash onto cardboard then let it dry for a week or 3...

then its smokeable and jar-able...

why would u WANT pressed hash???

Oh, we has our reasons.

Oh, we has our reasons.

"im not sure why u put it in the oven"

Decarboxylation.

Ed says: "Marijuana produces THCA, an acid with the carboxylic group (COOH) attached. In its acid form, THCA is not very active. It is only when the carboxyl group is removed that THC becomes psychoactive. When marijuana is smoked, the THC behind the hot spot is vaporized as the hot air from the burn is drawn through the joint or pipe bowl to the unburned material. The liquid THC and other cannabinoids have a boiling point of between 180-200? C (355-392? F). Before they turn gaseous, at around 106? C (220? F), the carboxyl group is released from the molecule as carbon dioxide and water vapor."

However, much THC is oxidised when smoked and thus wasted.

The controlled heating removes the carboxyl group and activates all the THC.
Eating raw bubble is a waste of hash.
So it's worth the trouble, especially if you are planning to ingest your hash.

Try it sometime.:)

vaping is the most potent(aside from eating) method of inhaling- at 80-91%, vs 50-71% rapid oxidation.

run and tell that, homeboi.

i see... i puff my hash not eat it, so i guess that's where i was thrown for a loop there...

the OP made no reference to eating, but i guess it should b assumed that it's going to be used for ingestion with mention of the oven...

just curious iron, do u prefer to eat hash over smoking it or what?
