Well I recently added a couple things to make my life easier and was wondering what you all thought were some of the BEST additions to your room, to well, make your lives easier.

My Additions:

R.O. and float valve to auto fill my 50g rez.
Green CFL to work in room with lights off.

Needed:
Tropf Blumats, so I don't have to go in with lights off. LOL

Fortunately my current grow is the latest in a long-ish list, so I started with mostly best-of type gear:

Bare vertical bulbs (Hortilux Daylight blue MH if you can run them)
Trim Reaper
Blumats
Phresh filters
Dead res w/bleach
Botanicare ReadyGro Aeration mix (coco/perlite)
Smartpots
Ecoplus 18" oscillating fans
Vortex Powerfans (quiet and reliable as a mountain of granite)
Quantum dimmable ballasts
Sentinel CHHC-1 controller (now CHHC-4)

For nutes, the best bang for the buck in the hydro store hands down are:
Maxibloom powder
Koolbloom powder
Dyna-Gro Pro-Tekt silica
Technaflora MagiCal (Cal-mag)
DM Saturator for foliar sprays
Eagle 20 for fungus probs
Alternating Floramite SC and Forbid 4F for mites

Bleach instead of DM Zone, no need to buy Mycos anymore either.
septic tank enzymes instead of Hygrozyme (* I use neither anymore, no difference)

That's all off the top of my head...

So a few questions for you Lazy.

You're mixing in the MH bulbs along with your HPS to get the full spectrum, is that correct?

What is a Dead Rez? No Beneficials?

I'm looking for something to mix in with my soil like promix. Is that what you're doing with Botanicare ReadyGro Aeration mix (coco/perlite)?

Have you noticed a considerable difference in stem wall thickness using the silica?

And I agree Ecoplus fans for the win. Very cheap and so far reliable.

best new addition would be a manifold i made to air cool my lights and exhaust the whole room through them....

the manifold is a box about 30" X 12" X 12". has a 10" and 5 4".

the 4" are hooked up 5 1000w hoods with no glass.....

the 10" is hooked up to my filter, sucking out....

BAMM!! aircooling my hoods and exhausting my room at the same time!

room is between 6-10 degrees cooler now when its running!

I believe the hortilux blues are meant for horizontal operation. Not sure if this is any danger but i believe they are less effective hung vertically or shorter life span.

KB, I'll have to hit you up on this. I have 3k's with a 10in venting, and I still seem to have to much heat buidlup. Really pisses me off.

I have a 6in forced intake to boot. I must be missing something as my temps can exceed on 93* on some days, light on.

That's with sealed glass. Been very frustrating for me. I'll get some picks up for you to check it out. (one down side is I have a 10inch fan that exhausts to attic at 6in, pull thru one reflector at 6in, and one at 8in. Can that small reduction in places really restrict my flow??
