Quite the museum of concentrate pipes here, great stuff guys!

Can anyone recommend a US supplier for some of these domes and pipes? I have had 3 pieces smashed by customs in chicago, and gave up trying to order from the european suppliers a few years back... I'm outta the loop, and don't know what stateside shops there are, or which ones are worth my time.
Help?

thanks alot!

They do have a nice selection and if it is not satisfactory, might I suggest Googling the scientific glass blowers in your area, and checking you local Yellowpages?

We have most of our custom stuff manufactured by them, because they have the equipment and technical training to do damn near anything.

Though they may lack equipment and technical training, we also use some of the local artistic glass blowers for the more straightforward creations, because they are lots cheaper in small volumes!!!!!!!!!!

If you can draw it, someone can make it!

My Hashmasta-Kut swing, in all the pics I have it's on an old black and clear tube, but I have it on a small bubbler now. (I paid less for the cheap bubbler at a local head shop, than for the swing, haha). I use the fuck out of my swing, to be honest I rarely smoke flowers anymore. :tiphat:

Still waiting patiently for a full HMK/GGirl rig, I'm sure I'll be on the list for many more years. Who knows, now that he's blowing glass it may be sooner, maybe not. Either way, I'm happy! Can't rush the man! :artist:

I really think the small bubbler makes the hits much better than with a tube, IMHO. I'll get a pic of it when I get a new cam...:

EDIT: My pics don't seem to be coming up correctly, so I put the link to them underneath just in case...

Are most of these pieces custom blown? I am having a tough time finding these different styles. I have to order, no one in my town will carry skillets, domes, essential vaap, let alone that bad ass looking well. Not only that there are not to many glass blowers to just find one to do custom work.

I dont know how far from Fort Collins your town is but if it isnt too far then Kind Creations will be your one stop shop for all the good stuff. Custom work done too just sketch up a drawing of what u want. They do live glass blowing shows as well and they always have the buy one get the second half off!

Ditto. Saw one of these in Colorado. They wanted $140 for just the curve. Yikes! The guy at the shop told me that the pad is indeed quartz but I believe the curve is definitely Boro. I have never tried quartz myself, and definitely wouldn't drop that kind of coin on one.

That being said, I wouldn't turn down a dab off of one of those. :dance013:

$140 just for the curve? Mine was 130 for the curve with the swing but i got it half off bc i got something else. Also, the swing doesnt detach from the curve on this one. On a side note, I got around to smoking out of someone elses setup with the metal swing on it and it made me feel like i made the right choice going with the quartz. So much cleaner and better tasting :dance013::jump:

Yeah, it was $140 for the curve with the quartz puddle swing or whatever they call them. When I said "just the curve," I was referring to the fact that for that price it didn't even come with a waterpipe/bubbler. More than fifty bucks for a wrapped curve is ripoff IMO.

I cannot comment on the quartz/Ti taste debate, as I have only used Ti, and it always tastes wondeful.

Was the Ti you tried one from HMK, or another source? I ask because I have only used Ti that was from him, but have heard reportts about inferior Ti being used to wrap curves.

Like I said earlier, I would not be opposed to trying a quartz pad, but preference among most connoisseurs who have tried both is that Ti is easier to get repeatable results (i.e. completely vaporizing, as oppose to combusting due to excessive heat, or puddling up by losing heat too quickly.)

Oh I thought that you were saying they wanted 140 w/out the swing on it. The taste wasnt bad it just wasnt the same for me..... could have been bc it was out of their bong or something :dunno: either one is going to do the trick though

Here is a pic of my torch of choice sitting in front of my "Flawless" bubbler equipped with the oil swing :smoke out:

So would that be the transfer of heat from the other parts of the Ti pad 'regulating' the contacted surface area, conductivity?
Because, technically, quartz and silica would have a higher thermal capacity than any metal, but much less conductive. (e.g. a heated piece of glass stays hot longer than a heated metal)

I haven't looked at the numbers, but my experimentation tells me that I get two hits from a heated Ti wand, to a single one from a quartz wand, and that both are long lived, while a borosilicate (Pyrex) wand will eventually fracture from thermal cycling.

The oil vaporized using quartz, is more bland than the same hit from a commercially pure titanium wand. The Ti flavor is crisper and more sharply defined.

Otherwise they both work extremely well!
