Congrats, you definitely kill it! I may have missed if it was asked/answered earlier, but did you notice nugs being frostier or larger at the CMH or the HPS?

Thanks Cheesebuds:wave:

Thanks DB, yourcorpse, and Peace!!

Hydrosun, thanks for the kind words.... I did put alot of love and attention into the grow..

70 day GDP? it's actually not looking ready, barely any amber trichs, it's also not purple but I was told by the source this cut doesn't really have the purple trait. It was kept because it's a huge producer and is very potent, so I was told, we will see..

Smells delicious.

megayields, yup pics are working and I'm setting up my tools for harvest tomorrow.

Hey Boom, Good to hear of the convert to another grow style, I am convinced it's the way to max out a small space, hopefully I can try it in a large space sometime...

dazedNconfused, thanks!! congrats on the new gorw setup, sounds like a solid plan.. Just veg for a bit longer than you thing you need to..

Thanks aseurat, pics are coming!!

CS, and MC, Thanks!!!

tr1ck, I only ran the CMH in veg and the final 2 weeks so I couldn't answer that regarding this grow.
I can tell you that past experience with CMH is slightly less yield, more trichs and also more leaves.

I would choose CMH over HPS for quality but it does not penetrate the canopy as well as HPS.

Trouble in paridise, my 600w Horti eye had a meltdown, looks like Lumatek and Horti bulbs still have the same issues. This one lasted 4 months.

It's a real good thing I was there when it happened, I had to yank the cord as the bulb was kicking off a very strange red/orange color and making tesla coil type sounds. I wonder what would have happened if I wasn't there to unplug it..

Sorry Bro....

Sorry Bro....

FUCK Lumatek....They DON`T stand behind their product , and have lied their ASS off for yrs bout fuckin up bulbs as well as RF interference rampant until the last yr or so....

As said in another thread , Lumatek sux dick....1 outta 10 fucks up real quick , and if bought online , yer fucked for replacement....

Folks on the left coast don`t know how well they`ve got it on bullshit ballast replacement......I`ve gone to my setups that had 2 outta 3 bulbs blown in each fukin flip room within 2-3 weeks of each other....for yrs....

The price of doin business for the best possible end result , or so I`d convinced myself for where I live in Hell....Quantum dimmable ballasts are by far the "pick of the litter" for digital ballasts , and did I say this already ?.....

FUCK LUMATEK.... and AH.....If`n yas go with more sq ftg at new location , Lemme try and talk yas into makin buncha smaller rooms under 1 roof with less wattage and controlled environment flippin and gettin yas more harvey`s per yr finishin as soon as a week apart once dialed with increased gpw`s and bottom line yields......

Big rooms with megawattage NEVER compare to smaller setups that can monocrop different strains together for all the gpw`s yas can squeeze outta 1 strain , instead of tossin all kinds of different plants in 1 room and tryin to dial all their individual feed and environment needs....

They also take an army ta harvey em , compared to a 1 man army that I did for over 15 yrs trimmin every 4-5 weeks with just the right amounts of manageable material , and no paranoia bout somebody knowin what I was doin......

Sorry ta write a book , but it needsta be said due to the fact big rooms will never hit the gpw`s or yields per sq ft cuz of lack of constant reflection past the plants without bein bounced right back at em while having to spend outrageous amounts of cash to provide environment IME.......

Not many folks pull 2 lbs per light with 600`s....The very first run I did with my tweaks on Heath`s racks and all the flip rooms I`d swapped over at separate locations were within ozs of each other finishing over a 4 month period , so it was no fluke....

Environment`s everything.....50 watts per sq ft takes care of the rest from what I`ve witnessed first hand for many yrs.....

Anything I can do ta help , just holler...

Peace....DHF.....:ying:....

Happy 420! wow man this shall be my first big grow journal that I have scrolled through almost nonestop within a daytime reading almost every post of yours and others who helped you throughout. I have to tell you, mate that's some inspiring shit right there!
I wonder if 1.5gpw can do here! If so - then there is no more consideration on going scrog for me :) im all the way vert lol :)
but seriously though I need to to try it all to see what works best for me.

Btw happy 420 indeed. Hope ure not baking urself to retardness with all that fingerhash youre going to earn while trimming! if so - may it be a time of joy for you! You deserved it like no one else!
this doughnut shall go to history that's for sure. u have invented this new concept of vertical growing which is not such an invention after all. more like an innovational approach. Respect big time! respect over and over again

looks more like standard hortilux problems with digital ballasts.. saw the same thing with a quantum.. dont run hortilux on a digital ballast

First I`ve heard of a quantum blowin an eye horti bulb.....I blew Ushio`s , Sylvania`s , and Phillips bulbs with my defective Lumatek ballasts as well old man , so it can`t just be the horti`s not compatible with digital ballasts , since I ran Eye horti`s in Lumateks for over a decade without any problems in the functional ballasts......

As said above...when they`re bad they`re bad , and their customer service is beyond pitiful....

My 2 cents from all them yrs.....DHF....:ying:...

Personally I own 6 600w digital lumateks and a 400w... I've run Philips, Sylvania, Horti-eye, USHIO, and now DIGILUX... And no problems to report. I guess I'm one of the 90%.

Well, luckily, I don't have to deal with Lumatek, my local hydro store swapped me out with new equip. I went with a Sunmaster bulb this time and bought a digilux 600w MH for veg.

This is exactly why I pay a little higher price to support my local store, I could have saved $60 buying online but where would I be now? Dealing with some online company, paying shipping, and waiting for a replacement... So nice to walk in the store and walk out with new stuff on the spot.

Thanks Sgt.Stedenko!!

I am beginning the chop, should be posting up some pics later today!!

maybe mine was a freak but it looked exactly like the picture above, happened first couple days into 2nd run. must have run ~10 hrs before i noticed it. no damage to ballast.
