Larry OG(clone)- 600W tent grow

This is my third attempt at growing. I am using the 3'11"x3'11" base Growlab with 600W Hortilux bulb powered by a NextGen digital ballast. I have a 6" 187 cfm Hydrofarm inline fan which is providing exhaust, cooling my light, and running a 6"x16" Phresh carbon filter. I have two 6" circulation fans.

My last two grows are here. I seem to be making improvements with every attempt.
1) Purple Kush

2)Sweet Pink Grapefruit

I was not liking how 6 plants trained by LST started to crowd each other so I decided to go with four plants, but upgrade the pots from 3 to 5 gallons to let the plants get larger. I was very surprised to see four plants fill out the entire tent.

In my previous grows I used Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil amended with dolomite lime and perlite. I used The three Fox Farm liquid nutrients and had terrible problems with burning, pH nuterient lockout, or something and decided to change things up. I am now using unamended Roots Organics Soil with the GH flora series nutrients and DynaGrow Pro-Tekt.

This time I decided to use Larry OG Kush clones provided by a delivery service here in San Francisco.

This time I got lazy and only started taking pictures near the end of the process. Week 8 of flowering ends on april 19 and pictures were taken around the middle of week 7 unless other wise noted

The following pictures were taken today. Looks like most of the trichomes are mostly milky. I am waiting for more to turn red before harvest which should be approaching soon....

I'll work on fixing the pictures, the image hosting was not working for me on this site today :(
I resized pictures to fulfill upload requirements but it says uploading failed and to try one at a time for a more detailed explanation. When I do that it just takes forever and I get a time out error. I'm not sure how to get pictures to show up on this post

The ratio of cloudy to amber trichomes is about 9:1 and I am thinking of harvesting on thursday or friday. I would say that about 60% of the pistils have turned from white to red and I find this confusing because as far as I can remember, all of the pistils had changed color at harvest time for my last two grows. Should I just ignore pistils and look only at trichomes do determine harvest time?

Well I decided to harvest when trichomes were 9:1 cloudy to red even though not all of the pistils were orange yet because it was the best time in terms of security. I finally got the picture hosting feature of this site to work again so here are some pictures of the plants before harvest and some more taken of the dry buds today.

I am at 5 days drying so far and the stems still fold rather than snapping, but the buds feel dry to the touch and burn evenly when ground. I am thinking about jarring them for curing tomorrow and keeping a close eye on them to make sure they don't moisten up too much. I am afraid of losing my flavor and smell by drying for too long and don't want to jar too early and risk mold. Your opinions on this would be appreciated.

bit early, cost you weight I think.

Your first soil mix was off due to the lime IMOH,.... FFOF is already amended with crushed oyster shells or something to buffer, so the lime was over the top.

Nice short grow thread BTW ;)

Those buds make me salivate so I think you did a great job. I grow in a setup much likes yours and here is what works for me. I trim the plants wet and hang everything to dry for a week in the tent. After that I trim all the buds off, weigh, and put into jars. I keep the jars open for a day or two to be extra sure. Throwing away bud because of mold is not fun. After that they stay in jars and for another week or so I burp the jars to get the extra moisture out. A week or so later the buds will start smelling oh so nice.

I'm setting up a vert 3x3 old school hut! So I'm right there with ya bro! love the larry og and thanks for the side info!

The Larry has a very strong lemony smell to it.

I may have scarificed a little weight, but the trichomes looked ready and I grow in an apartment that I rent. I wanted to harvest when no neighbors were home as it was fairly smelly and my next chance would have been too late. Next time I grow will probably be in a year or so in a more permanent housing situation so I won't have to do that again. But, yield looks good, they smell nice, and I got surprisingly high from my couple test hits so I'm happy with how it all turned out.

Thanks for your opinions, I think I will jar them today and make sure to burp frequently
