When I have herb, I'm a daily smoker and either don't dream or don't remember. I'll often have dream-like thoughts during the day so maybe my subconscious doesn't need REM dreams.

Without herb, pretty bad insomnia (even after a month of no cannabis) but my dreams are there, occasionally from what I remember but not especially vivid.

I do think this subject is worthy of a PhD thesis or two.

I speculate that smoking cannabis is VERY similar to dreaming, the mind races and limits don't seem to exist.

Perhaps using cannabis decreases the minds NEED to dream as often? There is no denying that humans come up with crazy shit while dreaming or using the right cannabis.

:joint:

I smoked/vaped for about five years everyday and presently about a month into going cold turkey.

Alot of people at ICMAG smoke weed for medical reasons, but for us recreational users, it might be good to look at other sources of changing our perspectives/escaping.
I fucking love weed and growing. I do. But now I am extremely happy just taking mdma, 2c-b, and champagne and recently whippets... Weed brings people together and I will always appreciate the smell of dank weed smoke and a finely rolled joint. god damn.
Now, having not smoked for awhile I only have the slightest twitch to blaze up and don't/cant. I wake up completely refreshed and have a better outlook and mood of the world.
Plus I have gotten some good luck with the ladies recently.
So to wrap up this rant...It might pay to take an extended break from cannabis if your condition allows you.
Enjoy life for what it is...and allow your mind to dream

Took a catnap today and dreamed about my mom. It was so real, when I awoke, I felt as though I was really with her, even though she is long gone.
Yup, catching up on my dreaming. It's been awhile.

i do dream sometimes, even though i go to bed high every night.
but when i take a break i can be sure to get really fucked up dreams. think of 100feet robots battling each other in the sky above a deserted island .. stuff like that.

I did a school report on this, look up cannabis effect on REM sleep, it does make you dream less. there are threads on ic about it too if u use the search button.

Penis
To see a penis in your dream, signifies sexual energy, power, aggression, and fertility. To see an exceptionally large penis, suggests doubts and anxieties about your sexual drive and libido.

Disaster
To dream that you are in a disaster, represents your personal anxieties and fears of change. You are afraid of not knowing what is in store for you in the future.

THRIFT SHOPS : Shops in dreams often symbolize our options. If you are going to a thrift shop or to a market then it may show that you have few options and that you have little time or few resources to complete the tasks you wish to complete. In another sense it may show that you wish to complete some task as quickly and with as little effort as possible.

or

Thrift Shop
To dream that you are at a thrift shop, suggests that there are things from your past experiences that you can still learn from. Don't underestimate something that is seemingly worthless. The thrift shop may also symbolize ideas or skills that you have forgotten and can draw from in a current situation.

there was a time, i'm not sure if I read this here... or in a book

but there was a civilization, a long time ago, when people got sick, they took them to this "building" and left them there till they had a dream

they then based their treatment on the dream

also first nation people believed that what we experience in our dream states is more real then what we experience in our every day lives

my daily toking has greatly reduced the intensity (or recall) of my dreams. if i remember anything, it's only fragments, no coherent "story".

while i don't know if this is good or bad, i kinda prefer it, because dreaming can be really exhausting.

dreaming exhausting ? how come ?

dreams can make your life go forward if you are stuck

they can literally unblock negative attitudes/thoughts processes
make you see things in a different way

give you a glimpse of something else, and not just with your "eyes" but also with feeling. I know I've had dreams where shit was unreal like you are really there.

they can make you face your biggest fears

also dreams can warn you about stuff, let you see something you have missed (that was right in front of your eyes)

I dunno if you heard about lucid dreaming,

A lucid dream is a dream in which one is aware that one is dreaming.
well, there are people that know how to make them happen more often, with a lot practice and a bit of know how

apparently things you learn in your lucid dream states stay with you, and you can learn quite quickly and with some sort of special help from another realm

then you can choose where your dream is going to take you, what you are going to do

golfers can practice their swings, people can practice speaking in front of crowds etc.. things move fast in dreams

I know that sometimes dreams can be horrifying or quite shake you with their surreality, like when you are falling or a hammer is about to hit you straight in the face, or if you are getting raped. With their surreality or their complete insanity too...

They can be quite beautiful too, meeting your soul mate, being happy, flying, whatever..

all in all, I appreciate them, I find them interesting and mysterious, they are part of experiencing life

I have NEVER had a lucid dream where I sit there and realize "hey I'm dreaming, lets make some cool shit happen", then start flying all over the city like in Half Baked

I want one.... lol

I used to have nightmares about falling all the time. Made me wake up with my whole body jerking. A most unsettling way to awake as anyone can tell you. They became so frequent that in defense I began to lucid dream and fly off without hitting, or else land gently. That's the only time I can remember knowing I was dreaming and consciously affecting the course of my dreams.

Eventually the falling dreams stopped and I went back to mostly forgetting my sleeping dreams.

yeap, same here, when i smoke i dont dream much but when i stop i have the most insane ones.

just last night...
my body and mind was exhausted from a strenuous weekend (dancing, partying, not sleeping)
i had a wonderful dream with old wooden cars and me in the back seat with a beautiful-sexy girl who I did some pretty naughty things to. We were just cruising on a road in the country. Really sexy-
for full disclosure ->
