Hi OS !! I'm in the middle of my new room build as well. Isn't it fun? :jump:

My setup is much different but I'm really anxious to see how your lazy susan works out. Great idea.

Go Vert!!

I'm pulling up a chair. I got a 4x4 room too and 600 Watt and I am going vert next round, in about a month. I am a bit nervous changing my style, but I see so many nice vert grow's. Good luck, love the lazy Susan idea.

Sorry to leave you guys for so long but it took some time to get everything finished up.

These plants have been through a lot and they aren't as pretty as usual but they are doing well. About a month ago these were all half dead bone dry, but they all came back. They also suffering some top burning from time to time growing into lights (flouros). To turn the lazy susan I have to disconnect the plumbing (quick connect) and unplug the fan, I have the plug situated on the edge of the lazy susan for ease.

An update!

Here's my cutting process, I outfit a tote like such:
picture.php

These can be used to good effect for storing smaller mothers, vegging to 12" or so, and cuts. Here I used some rooting cubes:

1. I cut the tray to whatever length I'm working with
2. Prepare my cutting solution which is 1gal r/o water, 1 ml gh micro, 1.5ml gh bloom, 1.5 ml calmag, 6ml gh humic/fulvic (diamond nectar?), 3 ml SM-90, 2 ml Pro-tekt Silica. Sometimes I superthrive, lately not, ph to 5.5
3. Trim leaves on the plant for the cutting
4. take the cut into a cup of cutting solution
5. let the cut soak for at least 10 minutes
6. Bore out the hole of the rooting cube some to prevent cut damage
7. Place that sucker in the hole

I mist them down and keep about 1-2mm of clone juice in the bottom of the container. I am usually 100% and these are 100% after about 10 days with the roots coming out of the bottom of the cubes yesterday (probably a day before that). These are all Lui 13 cuts which seems to cut very nicely. My tip for next time is to NOT write the strains on the side of the tray with your garden marker because it wore off!

Here is the room, quite a bit of bushing up if you compare to my last post! These are all various lui13 cuts.

Spy the two little guys in here, some local cuts that are supposed to be good.

Here is an original haze / skunk I tossed into the mix, will take 4 mos but what the hell?

Have you thought about what type manifold that`ll be connected to your pump for each individual plantsite to be fed DTW ?.....

As long as you can control environment , you can exploit the hell outta small spaces , but there`s certain things to be adhered to for dialed conditions , as you`ll soon find out......

You`re bound by the pump size on X amount of solution flow every time it kicks on , so I always used control valves/ball valves between the open end driptubing(never used drippers) and the pump to be able to dial down the exact amount of flow each plantsite needed for total saturation with sufficient runoff.....

Nowaday`s H&G`s "driplean" saves that runoff , and all that`s needed is constant saturation as the plants eat .....The drip clean takes care of residual salt buildups .....

Blumat`s are the ultimate way to dial each strain`s nutrient requirements cuz each variety drinks and grows/swells at different rates , and that`s where blumat`s rule cuz they only feed the plant as it eats/drinks nutrient solution ftw......if you`re usin coco or dirt that is.......

What are yas gonna be usin for medium in a DTW setup btw.......

Good luck Skwirly......DHF.....:ying:.....

I'm running rez formula in coco... I had wanted to initially use blumats but I couldn't figure out how to do it in my space. The blumat reservoir has to be above the plants, I'm not sure how I can pull it off... I'm not very happy with the coco I'm using right now, just finishing it off this batch, it's the chunky coco and it doesn't spread the moisture very well and dries out too quickly. It was great for recirculating (or e&f I could imagine) but terrible for drippers. I'm going to get some canna coco or botanicare and top dress these to help the water spread more evenly.

I'm figuring out that I need to make a drip manifold like you suggested, I'm not even getting close to the right amount to each plant, I am going to handwater until I get the parts to finish the system properly. I also figured out the q I sent ya, gotta setup the pump to run inline.

Tonight I'll be finishing all of the lightproofing (a few cracks around the inner door) so I can start the move to 12/12... Going to go 20/4 for a day or 2, then 18/6, so over the next 5 days I'll be at 12/12 and let the crystals fly.

Well Bro.....You`ve got a manifold , it just needs upgrading with a control valve with the same length 1/4" driptubing to each plantsite regardless of how far or how close the plants are in relation to your manifold for equal flow and equal pressure via the control valve.....

I ran basket stakes with oversized pumps so when juice hit the stakes , they sprayed out and covered the whole tops of the containers till total saturation and sufficient runoff occurred.....

I ran 1/3 chunks , 1/3 stringy pith , and 1/3 perlite that worked well for aeration to rootzone as well as good moisture retention.....

Holler if I can help.....DHF.....:ying:......

Just reading over your thread... and if you don't want to spend the money on blumats, these are what I went with, mini inline shut-off valves. I can control the flow 0-100%. They're cheap, I think I got mine for like $.50 each...

Well today they were just so close to the bulb it was time to train em, plus it was really bushy so I had to cut them back a lot. I plan on redoing the drip system in the next few days, but have been enjoying the hand watering really. If not for needing to leave town every now and again I think I would forgo the rez and run a double or different style system. Once dialed in I should be able to get 20oz reliably and leave the setup for up to 2 weeks at the right times.

I haven't done screens before and wasn't sure the best way to go about it and I found some tomato stakes and these really neat plant supports that had 2 stakes and a half circle that were really great.

These are all lui13 except for the orig haze/skunk

My "L4" lui13 which is the bushiest and yielded the most last run, if it performs really well again it might be the keeper. I still have 5 more lui13 beans to run at some point though...

Here is a different 'l4' after some training and a skirt trim:

Aint it gorgeous!

Stem porn, note this is before I trimmed:

Gettin bushy! This is how it looks in the room. I can spin the wheel and take out any plant I want and work on it, then place it back and spin to the next one, I really love it...

Thanks for all the ideas and comments guys, this has been a pleasure and much easier thanks to all of you! I can't wait to fix the drippers up with the inline valves and hook the pump up to run inline. I've been having a hard time finding the right size fitting for the pump...
