Roll on the summer

Go on the lads...

I had great results last year with my own mix - Early Pearl x Jack Herer - grew like Jack and finished at the end of October. Also did well with a Californian variety - The Purps x Trainwreck. No sign of mould at all and the Jack cross in particular was grade A - Jack type effect that had you still smiling three hours later.

Hope this summer is as good as last years. This year will see if Easy Sativa and Frisian Dew live up to their reputations.

You can grow great weed outdoors in Ireland as long as you're not growing a heavy indica with thick buds like White Russian (mould always sets in from week 5 flowering with these in my experience).

Interesting crosses, I wouldn't even dream of trying anything like those yet for fear of mould and the late finish but it's always good to hear they do well over here.

I think Tonto tried FD last year, perhaps he will drop by and give us the run down on them.

I've just painted the boat, heading down river tomorrow to get a few spots sorted well out of the road, God only knows how I'll end up, might bring a box of beer with me just for the craic. Grow on everyone! :D:D

Thanks - I used to use the handle Bertieahern on overgrow - "a lot done, a lot more to do" - way back before he fucked the country.

Pity I passed on the rest of the beans - would have been happy to share.

A friend of mine has some nice varieties this year like NYCD x NL no.1 and the last couple of Jack seeds from that pack. If he gets a male will cross it with these. Should be interesting. Will update.

Ha! dont know if you heard it on the news but the teflon don is now giving advice to the Nigerian Government on economics :)
Guess he's not content on ruining just one country.

Funny you should mention Herer, I made a cross a good few years ago from Afghan and Jack Herer, did fantastic indoors but was too iffy with mould for outdoor growing as it took 10 weeks to finish properly.

Busy day in the garden today, first 2 seed plants went into the soil...only 4 of this strain germinated, seeds were old and in short supply so I'm praying to god that I get 1 male n female to preserve the strain.

Tray no.2 was also started, writings hard to see but it's HfH Hash Plant ( Arne's) in the top row, then Hash Plant 2 followed by Danish Gold and an indoor strain in the 2 bottom rows

Compost teas are working wonders on the first tray of plants (4 HP, 4 HP2 and 2 Biddy Early) very healthy and happy looking, no sign of any more auto males in the hfh mix.

Time they went into their final pots, no real ground growing this year my neighbor is thinking of selling her house in a few months or so she tells me.
Fair play to her for being concerned that prospective buyers might try and look over the wall and see something they should not really see.

Stay safe n happy all

Hope you wear a life preserver bro, beer n boats dont mix.

Way I see it is that you will have a few options to keep them less noticeable.

1. Train the plants to keep them low.

2. Limit the amount of veg time the plants/clones get but plant in higher numbers.
DSC04556.jpg

^ pic is of an Arnes cross from last year that had only a few weeks veg from seed before flowering set in.

3. Find a different spot that is more secluded, if your worried that your plants will be seen your spot may not be the best??

the wind snapped 2 of my seedlings today as I had them out in the sun basking. They were lying down when I came back from an brief outing.I moved more dirt around the snapped stems and they are standing again but I'm thinkin they will kick the bucket completely as the stems looked a bit bruised and dented.
what are the odds they will live? I know it's a hardy wee plant

They should be fine,Red.

Same thing happened to one of my lot during last weeks high winds, wrap some tape around the break and add a cane for support and it will be good as new in a week or 2 when the saddle forms around the break.

Mabak the Purple Maroc is supposed to be semi-autoflowering (flower after 6 weeks) so it shouldnt be huge and the colours might make em look different to typical weed - but may not blend in in the field. Dont know about the rest of the varieties you list there.

If your field can be seen assume someone will see your plants in the 2+ months they'll be flowering. People do recognise the plant profile. Find another spot I'd say.

cheers Bosco--holding off on the tape for now as they are still up--if they go over again I will take further measures

HFH hp1 & 2 will do very well over here, HP starts to flower end of June...not sure about the HP2 but it should be the same I think.
HP is very mould resistant with a little help from a spray or 2.

Erdpurt I had problems with last year but that was down to the dogs ripping them out of the pots and stunting them, started to flower in July then composted.

The rest I know little about, but I know a few of the Irish growers have had good results with Typhoon.

fyi,the reason it keeps getting deleted is because the breeder is a spamer, iaf is a good strain and would love to grow it myself but all those irish guys growing it are spam as were a load of other threads about it. Some one did mention though that it is just a guerilla gold cross, which is significantly cheaper:whistling:

some one mentioned killing fields earlier , any pics? beautiful looking strain.
