8. Pull the 220....and compost the pulp into your pit

9. Pull the remaining nets....I pull one at a time over another bucket in my kitchen sink. Using the sink faucet spray hose...I corral the resin heads into a pile in the middle of the net....then use table spoons to gather them up....place them on a small cut board with a piece (the piece that comes with the bags) of screen tacked down over it. I then pour the new bucket into the old bucket to catch anything that might have fallen through.

10. I let the resin dry as it is in the picture. At this stage I use tweezers to pick out hairs and whatnot. Projection: this will be dry and smokeable in about 5 days...give or take....still have plenty of hash so no hurry. In winter I put it over my fireplace.....in summer it doesn't matter...but I dry until it can be crumbled.

The little turd is the 190..... at 12 o'clock is the 120....at 6 o'clock is the 73.... at 5 o'clock is the 25

....if I make it into balls or patties: I'll heat it up on plates (one inverted over the other) in the sun for a few hrs and press it into the desired format.

*****it should be noted: that when I use the bucket with no screens and with a lid on.....it becomes a washing machine. I gently shake it and swing it around while at the same time...twisting back and forth....a washing machine. It knocks all the glands off in no time at all. The use of the gloves and their agitation is a final separation kind of a deal...to let the glands still trapped in the pulp free up. A 2gal bucket with a lid....is very easy to manage....fuck stirring or paddling a bucket with nets in it. Makes no sense....hard on the nets as well.

you always get the best color out of your hash...nice!

Thanks unc....pretty clean stuff. Didn't purple the water....but delivered some nice color. I thought there might be enough Blues to get me the purple water...but I guess not

Made up of:

Mikado, ChemDDIX1, I-HOP GK, Orange Brickhouse, Ma Kettle, The Crunge.....think that's all of them.

Well yes my friend. That looks swell. I like turning bubble water purps...just kind of trick. Making hash is best done with proper preparation and patience. It used to take me forever....but I'm a lot quicker now days.

Making another 128 fluid oz of tea out of the yard. Only young Stinging Nettle, young Mugwort, and young Camomile are available this early on the property. I had snow on the ground yesterday morning...but should be in the 80's by weeks end. Digging and planting....burning up my firewood. I'm ready for sun and heat.

Crave I think you have every right to DD fascinations. You grow them well...I give you props. I'm still fucking around with a couple more.

I did well making F3 beans....it will continue. I have some really neat home mades that are blowing me away. I owe much to my friends and some of the bigger breeders. They have been good to P...I bless all who have helped me set/map a course. I'm indebted...I hope that I can return the favor someday.

I'm growing well at present...the Rabbit is being helpful in my tutoring..Eugene the Jeep hangs as the mascot overseer. Spreading ju ju and keeping me true to my path. In the last six months I've started into another chapter....the Canna stuff I post here,,,,mostly out of respect for the doors that cultivating herb has opened for me. Cannabis is my Rabbit.

if we had no indoor....imagine all the years we would spend breeding our populations.....1 yr F1...2yr F2...3rd yr f3.....a much slower devolution. You'd grow old with your population. I hope to someday take this genetic catalog of mine...and progress it in a slower more precise annual enterprise.

I have plenty of the SFV x Ghost X Ghost. I have less Odessa of the same age....because....as I have a bag full of Odessa beans...i cull plants for no reason...then start another batch...maybe drown them to see which ones survive...mindless Chaos...in the picture below there had been 6....all are dead now but for 1....so I kept the 1....Chaos/disorder is necessary...it is less brutal than nature.

You may catch a hint of things to come in that picture as well. I blended a Purple Urkle leaning Querkle via pollination from a TFlux Highland male....or as you will...Flo x ChemDD X Highland Mex x Blueberry.....and that Querkle girl I named "Prudence" is also the mom of Prune Juice.

Also see Jessica Lang beans floating......that was an impulse to run the Prudence Highland and Jess together.

Some of the Hell Hound project plants.....OGs and Odessa digging on each other...sizing each other up in a totally good natured way.

Isn't it crazy? Sometimes I feel the urge to go wreck a fair part of a project....just go in and start killing.

But then...I go to my fridge and pull out tupperware boxes full of beans vacuumed sealed in labeled bags. I flip through them like a deck of cards....I read...I remember....eventually one of the cards eventually draws my attention. I select and concentrate on them....then I go back in to flipping cards again until something else catches my attention....

Now I garble in how to unlock the path and make them blend. If only a 10 drop of each....20 whole beans .....not much risk in having a fuck around. Maybe I luck into a couple shiners and they make it simple for yours truly.

If I may interrupt with some trivia---

How do you vacuum seal seeds? Would a consumery Seal-A-Meal thing work, if the seeds were in some sort of crush-proof tube? I've been keeping them in tiny plastic ziplocs, but I would like to step it up.

....just the way I've always done it. Sometimes there are 100s per bag....I've never had crushing issues. Label your notes directly on the bags. Not sure the Tupperware is needed but keeps things organized and neat. I don't freeze beans or pollen. Dust in the wind.

I can't see my pictures on the last post.

Note: I use a FoodSaver vacuum...no rice or anything in with the beans...

#s, the herd , the population, the scales that teeter...

....with a their just weight. Who lives to see another artificial sunrise? Who is ritually strangled and ripped away from all they've known? And you....this thing lumbering above your creations with all the answers and all the lack of reason. knowing only....what must be done....the steps that must be taken.

The Hell Hound project will go into sexing with 13 SFV x Ghost X Ghost and 6 Odessa F2. The above photo shows the final culls until after sexing. I present to you....I am very content with those #s and will prosper in them.

On the rise. Rise up my little darlings.....Prudence Highland and Jessica Lang.

Prudence Highland= Querkle X TFlux Highland
TFlux Highland= Flo x ChemDD X Highland Mex x Blueberry
Jessica Lang= Satechism X Faye Dunaway
Satechism= Casey Jones X Blue Satellite 2.2
Faye Dunaway= ChemDD X Cindy Jones

Prudence Highland is important to my work with The Crunge, Cleveland Sage, Prune Juice, and what will be Cleveland Crunge.

All those crosses are related to "Prudence"......the name I had for my Purple Urkle leaning Querkle. She is somewhat....the foundation in these line ups. With the TFlux Highland.....I have planned to connect the more sativa side of Prudence with the Flo and Mex. I wish to keep working these sort of subjects into all ornamental expressions available.

An outdoor Indica leaning Crunge....day 45...I've decided to grow her this way. She still has another week until I kick her into flush. She smells like Heaven.

Her running mate....ChemDDIX1....45 days...long way to go....lots of flowers on a short frame...soaking up flavor inducing spectrums

My Ma Kettle (Casey X Grape Krush)....flushers getting their daily few hrs of MH/Fluorescent spray. The mothers of seeding Manzana Bramble....nice girls

I now use my shop vacuum and suck up all the coco off the root surface as soon as the plants go into flower. I feel the top layer of coco is a waste and would rather start with a layer of dried root.

I see no adverse reactions from the plants....and in fact....observe that they seem to pick up their uptake pace. I've never felt the top layer of roots buried under a mostly dry coco surface did much good.

When you study a root ball after harvest....you can see where the action really takes place....and it ain't top side. I say....get air flow down there quick as you can. I'm not going out and buying all new fangled air pots...

Yup....since I have so many pots....that's exactly my next move. I'm going to drill holes into the sides. I agree...air pots...are a grand idea.

So many things to do.

I've been following the trials of a grower who has done just that - drilled hundreds of holes in the sides of buckets. He has found that it certainly helps - but that that mountain/valley arrangement of the Air Pots(tm) is still superior if you can afford it. But by all means, drill the crap out of your buckets!

It's not a cash flow issue with me chap. I just have soooooo many buckets, squares, of every dimension. I garden profusely in OD veggie gardens....I have shit everywhere. I don't want anymore shit lol....I'm trying to down size my life. I want out....my way of life has been very good to me.....but now I'm devolving into something different.

Drilling holes....takes time.....I'll try it out....but man...vacuuming off the coco is more exciting and can be done in intervals....until in the end....very little is left holding up the death expressions. The mummy totally dried out.

It's all I can do to stop from.....breeding chickens....but I'm down sizing I'm telling you. I don't even much eat eggs or eat chicken....but I love the bastards.

Merrell Barefoot Trail Glove

Merrell Barefoot Trail Glove

I took them over a desert ridge line for 15 miles to break them in. Nursing a seriously bruised bone...that has my right foot discolored and swollen. That was from the hard shot I took in the last Vibram slipper run.

I wore no socks....and rubbed off some flesh....but nothing to slow down over. The soles are stiffer and thicker than either the Vans or Vibram 5 fingers....but light at 6.4 oz.....I'm faster in these and they pound my feet less.

The next run...a couple days later...I wore finger socks and Mole skinned my open wounds. I'm a pro with Mole Skin...lots of experience in quick mending feet to keep them going. That was a more difficult 13 mile....more difficult due to rock and wounded feet....with the different foot issues that run has me healing up the next few days.

Coming down steep slopes I sing out primal chants to keep my core center exhausting and loose. The moments when you tense coming off rock ledges....and are waiting for impact...is when you do damage. It's a breathing discipline that keeps a seeker on the path.

So far I like these...I'm about to break through another barrier. This will be an amazing training season. I'm now bringing my teas with me in my gear. I'm finding information that relates to what I am attempting to do. My wife and others are supporting me in my endeavors....that makes things so much better

I'm a mostly vegetarian who hates eggs but keeps chickens. I love to make omellettes for my daughter but... I won't even taste em.

I'm with you on the time aspect, I am not all that unhappy with my growth in normal 5 gal buckets with a few holes in the bottom. I like the vacuuming idea - I have noticed that hte plants with roots visible on the surface aren't any worse off. I also like the shopvaccing of leaf, given the right touch.
