Well the title says it all, would like to here from others, on how long you veg your plants, and what are the average height after the stretch.

i veg clones 50 days under CFL's thier in 2 gal bags by time i flower they average 3ft tall when placed into flower. i use fox farm ocean forrest soil i use bush master to stop stretch and they finish approx 4ft.
indicas will stretch 2-3 times size when flowered
sativas will stretch 3-5 times size
in other words a 1ft tall plant indica can and most likely will reach 3ft
a sative will reach 5ft n/p. ive had sativas in 1 gal bags reach 5-6ft tall n/p
if your envroment is good - perfect your internode spaceing is min and your root mass has properly colinized the soil erea your stretch should be a min.

, only thing I would add is that w/ seedlings you want to veg them for atleast 4-6 weeks depending on your height restrictions before flipping.. not all strains stretch so don't always count on it.. I've had 1.5-2ft plants because I didn't veg them long enough thinking they would stretch lololdtimer846

The reason im asking is i have two tangerine dream, one eva seeds poison, and one warlock.
They are 15 days old, but i need them to be finished sometime in june, early june or middle of june, earlier would be better. The better half will be coming back then and will want to go home for a couple of weeks.
I would really like to go with her, this is the reason i need them to go 12/12 as soon as i can. But not if im only going to get a small amount off them, would at least like to get 56g to 84g dry.

Since I've almost always been a cab/micro grower, I usually veg until their 6-10'' tall, then flip them onto 12/12. Normally they finish out about 2' if I don't scrog or tie them down. Quite small, so thats why normally I bush them out and SCROG them so I can get a higher yield.

Depends on what im using for flowering light. In the past when using 1000w for flower i usually veg for about 20-25 days...5 or 6 nodes depending on the strain also. Using 400w or cfl's for flower i would go about 16 days veg...3-4 nodes.

Was just trying to see what everyone else is doing, but here you go.
They are 16 days old, working on the 5 nod now, 2 tangerine dream, one warlock, one eva seeds poison.
They are under a 400w MH right now and will be under a 400w hps when i flip to 12/12. They are in a tent 2.7x2.7x6 feet. I have 3.75FT. of useable height. I have grown in the tent before and veged for 6 weeks, would go 5 weeks now and train but.
My wife has a job were she is away, she will be back and when she comes home she will want to go home to see family, sometime in june.
I would like to go with her but, my plants are 16 days old and i would have to flip very soon for the TD to be done middle of june or for that matter the poison, and warlock which will take to the beginning of june.
So you can see my problem. Go see the family, we dont get to see very often, or veg and reap the reward.
Was trying to get an idea of how much i would get off them, i know it depends on alot of things. one of them being me putting them in flower early.

It is very simple bro. I tied her over when she was about 8inches tall. Every few days I moved the string up a node and re-tied the top down. Eventually I started having to tie down side branches as well to keep everyting even. A few minutes every couple of days is all it took.
Now that I hit flower I will stop tying things down so much unless a branch really starts to get far ahead of the rest.

Ok firstly Sir you always work backwards when working out due dates etc... So you take the date u need everything finished by then allow somewhere in the region of 8-9 weeks for flower (strain dependant of course) and then u can work out how much time u have left for vegging before u need to flip to 12/12. Then you can isolate a cut off date etc.. Oh and dont forget to allow for drying time too! Much easier to plan and see where your headed working backwards.. no pun intended. Calendars are very helpful planning tools i always keep one in the grow.
How much u gona get off them is also very strain dependant. What size container they are in plays a large part also, plus about a dozen other variables such as fertiliser regime.. watering... lighting... etc etc, and your growing expertise in general.
If u want a shot at anything even close to 2oz per plant dont even think about flipping till they are close to 2foot imo, with lots of developed branches.. Again this depends on how stretchy they will be. Are you topping or training? This makes a difference to yield also. You have to look at the plant and be able to see where the bud is going to come from. If you only got a couple of branches then you'll probably max out at half an ounce.. If you have nicely developed bushes with 8-12 thick main branches all hitting the top of the canopy then a couple of zips+ is achievable as long as your shit is dialled in.
To give you an example of yield I recently grew from seed i gave them around 8 weeks veg they were all quite developed (around 2 - 2.5 feet) when turned to 12/12, they were flowered in 5 gallons and finished out at around 2oz per plant dried. These were also under 600w HPS not 400w which makes quite a difference also.
Ahh soo many things to consider good luck OldTimer i hope anything ive said helps you but always remember this.. longer veg time = more bud... LOL obviously

i personnaly veg big but luv growin trees... if ya really wanna make sure she goes with some flip them now im guess they bout 10-12in sure u will get better yield if ya keep veggin but if ya gotta be done by june u just gotta take loss of yield .... u should get atleast 2oz lower est off them plants with the 400hps.. just makesure they are dank..wish i could help ya out more with flower time buy dont know the strain but if jjune and they 8wkers u need to get goin asap.... dont forget drytime trime time and cure.

I flip at minimum 30 inches of height. Low plant numbers but big yields. Last plant I chopped down was only 48 inches and yielded about 10 zips.

3-4 weeks, like to top my girls give em a week or more and then flip
they end up 20-26 inches... more girls smaller pots is my theory
