Colorado police pepper-spray misbehaving 8 yr old boy

But seriously how can these police get away with it? Get to the streets folks!

i would love to!!! and i could do it in front of their station. problem is i would be doing it alone ...... the next thread would be people debating about me getting my ass kicked and thrown in jail ........ what needs to happen is a bunch of people standing out front AND!!!! the news to report it. which leads us to problem #2. getting people to show up and be reasonable. how many different opinions have been thrown out there about pepper spraying this kid. we are on this site because we all have at least one thing in common, but we can (and do) argue endlessly over stupid shit. getting us all going in one solid direction would be as easy as herding cats. like it or not we have to come together as a group to make a difference and that would be a hard thing do make happen.

for the last 500 years we have been told the pyramids were built by slaves .... easy to believe right. but archaeologists are starting to figure out that was not really the case... back then they just got a bunch of people going in one direction and did shit as a group (even if they did not like all the other people in the room!!) and they made things work.

police and governments can get away with what they do because they are large groups that will stand shoulder to shoulder no matter what. funny thing is the folks bitching about stuff ALWAYS out number the guys in control ...... and their inability to get along with one another is what keeps things the way they are.

you want to change things ???? get a grip on the fact that nothing will ever be exactly the way you want it..... perfection won't happen. and get a grip on this one too .... if we could handle each other we could make things better.... JMHO:tiphat:

i understand this kid did all this for attention because his mom leaves him in front of the TV by himself all the time and most likely doesn't have a good dad around. This is mostly the parents faults here. If anyone needs an ass whoopin its the mom and dad. Afterall, what your kid does reflects on the parent, right?

i understand you have to teach kids things and discipline them the right way, CONSISTENTLY, without retorting to violence whether you say its out of love or not. Also, medicine is not the answer most of the time, and parents these days are quick to give them pills and put them in front of the TV.

ask any pediatrician and they will tell you kids do this stuff to get attention; and it all starts with the parenting.

Do you understand that kids do bad things to get attention, even if they know they will get whooped by the belt each and every time? Did you know a lot of kids don't care, as long as they get SOME sort of attention and reaction from their parents? If so, then you know that pepper spray, whipping and violence is not the answer.

Do you understand guidance, love, attention, being involved with your kid(s) and disciplining them the right way consistently is the answer? Yes, you can do all of this without turning your kid into a little whiny spoiled brat.

I've seen parents whip their kids all the time, yet the kid is still bad. It all comes down to kids wanting attention, good or bad. If all you do is yell and whoop them and then put them in front of a TV or tell them to 'go play' just to get them out of your hair, then this is the result of your kid lashing out at school.

Come and get me fuckers!

the old people on icmag are the ones siding with the police and talkin about ass whoopins and blah blah blah

times change they have no clue.

all the kid needs is good guidance, and consistent discipline.. and that doesn't have to include ass whoopins

kids now days respond completely different to ass whoopins.. doesn't work like the old days. Your kid will bring home a gun and shoot you now.

Never heard of a parent getting out of hand with an ass-whooping...but you certainly hear alot about an kid NOT getting an ass-whooping.

Watch your mouth youngblood.

If you were old enough you'd understand that times change.

Yet somehow they still remain the same.

Asswhoopins still apply.. and they are lacking in your generation as well.

Maybe you're the one with the guns...

The kid needs his ass beat on a consistent basis until he learns some respect. And I'm not from the "older" generation either. Unless 30 is old these days. I was just raised old school I guess.

Yes things have changed and for the worst I might add. Generalizing here, but kids today are almost worthless. No manners, no respect of elders or tradition, nothing. X-Box Facebook zombies. If they fuck up and you even look at them wrong then you are a child abuser. We are in a bind.

I think there might be more factors then just the mom and dad.. and the tv

like what caused the mom and dad to be this way
if that was indeed the problem

yes, parents have the responsibility on the kid... and will have a huge impact on what kind of person he becomes...
but I think there is more to it..

i'm not sure if the blame game/pointing fingers is gonna get us anywhere
